On the plus side,
sent me a coupon for a free initial exam and they provided rabies and distemper shots for a reasonable price. (I can't remember the exact amount, but it was several dollars cheaper than other vets for each vaccine.) The wait time was about 10-15 minutes, which is fine. Overall, however, I was not impressed.and wouldn't recommend.
Negatives:
1. The facilities didn't seem very sanitary. There was an unpleasant smell and I saw bits of fur on the floor in the exam room. Surely they ought to clean the room between each appt so as not to spread germs from one pet to another? Hopefully the previous patient didn't have anything contagious!
2. The tech wasn't very helpful or attentive. She spent most of her time in the exam room giving a sales push for various products and services -- and it was obviously a memorized speech, not advice based on the needs or condition of my particular pet.
3. The tech also, in my opinion, had a very unprofessional appearance. She had multiple facial piercings and was wearing a lot of make-up of the glitzy/glamorous type -- the stuff you'd wear (maybe) for going clubbing or to a party but not for the average business environment. While trying to have a discussion about healthcare, I found the movie-star false eyelashes and all the shiny doodads distracting.
4. They gave me an estimate for having my dog spayed, and the total price on this was high. For one thing, it was inflated by charging a $40 or $50 exam fee for the day of surgery. My dog was already receiving an exam, so why would she need *another* exam just a few days later? No other vet I've ever been to does that. Also, the estimate included various charges for services that are optional at most vets but apparently required at
, which drives the price up even more. For example, when I've had other pets in for surgery or any major procedure, the vets gave me the option of doing a set of blood tests and lab work beforehand. And I've been happy to do that for my cat, who's getting on in years, or for my other dog, who's had previous medical issues. But *this* dog is barely a year old, in perfect shape, full of energy, and has never been injured or sick a day in her life. So no, I don't think it's necessary to spend an extra $100 or more to check for possible liver and kidney disease and so on.
I can't really comment on the vet herself since I only saw her briefly. It was a routine visit so there wasn't much for her to do. She seemed nice enough, and perhaps she would have done well at diagnosing and treating a problem had that been called for.. But given my dissatisfaction with the other aspects of the visit, I won't be going back to find out! I now take all my pets to Animal Care Hospital (on
just west of 32nd St.) and they're awesome. Take your furry friends there, not to

We have had an ongoing issue regarding my dog’s allergies. They are just trying to narrow down the cause. I am always very pleased with the care they give my dog. The overall experience is excellent. Sometimes they are a little slow getting back to me. I would definitely use this service in the future.

He is highly experienced and a true professional. I think he has a great passion for practice. He always puts his clients and pets before himself, which I think is rare. He is a fine person, very trust worthy, honest, and considerate. He always listens to the pet mommy! Dr.

At the outset this might not sound like the best example. Stay with me.

In mid-2011 one of our cats -- the most beloved
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
-- became listless and withdrawn. Not at all like him. Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
diagnosed an intestinal growth. It was biopsied as benign but very fast-growing, and in an almost inoperable location. We could do little but keep
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
close and make him comfortable.

When
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
told us it was time to go, we asked Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
to make the house call. (No pet should die scared, away from home in a strange place.) In my years I have seen my fair share of animals put to sleep, but I have never ever seen it done with such loving, gentle care as Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
gave.

Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, in his favorite spot on our bed, was taken out of his pain with an initial calming shot. While he was still alert but now pain free, our family had time enough to say our many goodbyes. Another shot sent
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
gently into drowsiness. And then, as he slept on unawares, he received the final, lethal shot.

I have seen PEOPLE doctors extend less care to their human patients than Dr,
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
does to his furry ones.

At the end I asked him, Do you ever get used to this? He replied. "Never. And the day I do, is the day I'll leave this profession."

If he treats his terminal patients with so much tenderness and respect, imagine how he handles the living ones!!

Best. Doctor. Ever.

They are good for low cost. They
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
’t do updates on shots, etc. They are strictly spaying and neutering. If a person is taking a pet in for spay or neuter, they will do immunization shots. They are very caring and clean and just take very good care of the animals there.

I have been going to Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for many years, even before he started practicing at UAH. He is the best vet ever. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. He will call to check on a sick pet even when he has a day off or is on vacation. He has great instincts about finding a problem while it is minor and before it becomes a major illness. The back room technicians are also sweet and caring. I understand that they hold and "baby" my miniature schnauzers after anesthesia when the dogs tend to cry. I drive 40 minutes from north
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and would not take my four miniature schnauzer "kids" anywhere else.

Our little dog was very sick and getting sicker by the day. Our regular vet was at wit's end and recommended we see a specialist at
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
.

Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
got us in the next morning and we saw Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, their internal medicine specialist. He immediately knew what was wrong based on blood work information transferred from our regular vet. We verified his diagnosis with an ultrasound and examined the overall damage with an endoscopy the next morning. The diagnosis was inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
recommended a regimen diet and medication which has turned around the course of the disease and our girl is much, much better. We're not far enough into this yet to see complete healing but there doesn't appear to be any reason why that won't happen.

Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
can be expensive but you certainly get what you pay for. Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
immediately knew the problem which our regular vet couldn't diagnose with weeks of visits and tests. The information was already there, it just needed someone with Dr.
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
's experience to see it.

We found
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
to be highly competent, responsive, caring, very easy to work with and very friendly.

In 2 visits a few days apart, we brought in 4 dogs to be treated for kennel cough. 1 received a free exam because we had just gotten a dog from a shelter. First the office is not kept clean enough. It took 1 hour for then to clean up dog pee in the waiting room, after it was pointed out to the staff. Tick were crawling in the exam rooms both times I was there. I had to ask for someone to clean the exam room they put us in, because there was dried and wet pee on the floor Next, the vet mumbles, you can hardly understand him. Which makes it hard to understand instructions especially when you have a sick dog that needs special care. The vet actually prescribed an antibiotic that was NOT the best choice neither 1st, 2nd, nor even possibly 3rd choice for treating kennel cough. I think he prescribed it because it was what he had in stock. Therefore could make a buck. Oh yeah the medicines are WAY OVER PRICED. The only reason I did not go to my normal vet was I had those stupid free office visid coupons. Yeah. I ended up paying over $300 on Medicines. Of which I ended up having to go to my regular vet to proper medicines for kennnel cough. Because the stuff
Phoenix Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
clinic prescribed doesn't work well on kennel cough. Also when one dog had a BAD REACTION to a drug there is no emergency number to call. And their "mailbox" is always full. One dog got the. Bordatella vaccine , I knew there was a nasal vaccine and a shot . I asked for the shot, because it is stronger, lasts longer. Instead the vet came in and gave the dog the vaccine by mouth. I have never heard of one by mouth. But if I ask for the shot not the nasal mist. Then shouldn't the vet do the shot. Or talk to me before going and getting the medicine then forcing me the go with what he wants? Overall I would just stay away from this place even if you get a free visit it will cost you more than finding a good vet.
