" and his partner are a talented team that work directly on the job site along with a few employees when needed. They are fully licensed, bonded and insured contractors and handle a wide range of remodeling activities. They stayed true to their bid and finished the job just as scheduled. The client's were thrilled with the results."

"We could not be more pleasured with the outcome as the new. During this process we received more rain then would which meant delays. They did their best to keep work going on to make up work when they were unable to continue due to rain. They were very good about changing when we would make a change. This was their first job within the city of . has a number of requirements that other cities don't. That caused a change an addition a time or two. But they handled it all well."

"My home was recently burglarized. The thieves did a great deal of damage entering my home. I chose three contractors for bid submission. I work for a large insurance company, so I am familiar the estimate process and the type of service which should be provided. I ultimately chose Builders. Their bid came right in the middle but I felt there was a very professional air about this company, and I was proven right. Scara and Carpenter did the initial estimate. Both were very professional and knowledgeable with regard to what needed to be done. I had several questions during the estimating process. I would leave messages for and never had to wait more than an hour for a response. That was if he didn?t answer on the first or second ring. I received my bid within 48 hours and I was very pleased with the figures.
Because there were several parts to the estimate, I felt that I had to wait until all parts were ordered in order to have repairs started. I found that this was not the case. I contacted , as part of the burglary included damage to my front door. had a service rep come out within a day of request to fix my front door.
and came to replace my back sliding glass patio door and make some other minor damage repairs. They were both courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and above all, on time! They kept the mess to a minimum and even cleaned up after themselves on their first day, even knowing they?d be back the following day. They worked quietly and efficiently. was very patient when answering my questions with regard to a certain repair or process. The end result is that I am very happy with the repairs and I am very impressed with the employees of Builders.
I would totally recommend in the future."

"He is the hardest working person I've ever known. He's completely honest. He is very trustworthy; you never have to worry about him. Sometimes, the quoting process takes a bit longer than I'd like."

"Very very well. They were very professional, very responsive and kept close to the estimate. Did the work in a timely manner, had excellent subcontractors. After hearing so many horror stories about remodeling, it was a pleasant surprise to have it go so smoothly (this was the first home remodeling in my life). I had an architect draw up the plans and get the city's approval. worked off these plans and completed the work in the time they promised. I have recommended and will do so in the future."

"The project went wonderfully.
came and gave me suggestions. They found a way to make it work well with the room and the new TV. The got it finished, and came back to sand the next day.
I couldn't be happier."

"This is the second bathroom remodel that has done for us. Both bathrooms were done beautifully. The tranformations from old to new were magazine worthy. showed up everyday on time and typically worked 8-9 hours straight each day (20 minutes for lunch) to get the job done. followed our design plan and would occasionally offer valuable suggestions. was professional through both jobs and he made sure to leave the jobs clean - no remaining debris. No job is too large (or small) for . No doubt we will hire again!"

"From the first phone call to , we knew we were dealing with a highly professional and capable organization.
We started the process by working with a certified kitchen designer who helped plan the new space. He took into account all the ways that we utilize the kitchen so the new space would be not only beautiful but highly functional. The design/build process was exceptional and it really helped us stay within our budget. Were it not for this approach to remodeling, it's likely that we would have paid for a design that we couldn't afford to implement.
When work started, we had two special needs. We run a home business and needed to limit access to that end of the house. The Team was very agreeable to this and they went out of their way to keep us informed of the schedule each day and week so we could plan our busy lives around all the work. We also wanted to do some of the work ourselves to keep the cost down. worked with us and helped coordinate the schedule around the time we would need to complete our pieces of the project. 's willingness to work around our business needs and desire to assist with parts of the project was fantastic.
All the workers, whether they were employees or sub-contractors were amazing. They do an amazing job of vetting their sub-contractors and ensuring that everyone who entered our home was professional, courteous and highly talented.
To provide a sense of the project scope, here is a bullet list of the major milestones and tasks that were completed as part of our remodel:
-- Gutting the space and removing existing cabinets, counter tops and appliances.
-- Installing new cabinets (over 45 feet of base cabinets).
-- Creating an island with a prep sink which involved running plumbing and electric through the concrete sub-floor.
-- Knocking out the back wall of the house to install a very large new window.
-- Bricking up an unused exit door to the back yard.
-- Installing granite counter tops throughout.
-- Building a custom 'breakfast center' to house the microwave, maker, toaster and store all our typical morning supplies.
-- Electrical, electrical, electrical. Under-cabinet lights, great recessed ceiling lights, pendants over the island and breakfast bar, wiring for all the new appliances and locations, etc.
-- Plumbing to move the gas line to the , move the water line to the ice-maker and add a second sink.
-- Installing/reinstalling a combination of new and existing appliances.
-- Installing the most gorgeous exposed brick wall you've ever seen.
-- Permitting and inspections.
Our big concerns heading into the project were as follows:
1. How long would it take. Everyone we spoke to about remodeling projects suggested we should double whatever time line we were given. told us to block out 10 weeks. The project was completed in 8 including the final punch list items.
2. How many surprises would we have. Our home was built in 1972 and we know prior remodels weren't done very well. With the exception of needing to install wired smoke detectors to meet code there were no surprises and this really wasn't one either as they mentioned it to us during our pre-construction walk through and knew it was coming.
3. How much would we overspend the budget. This was perhaps the greatest surprise of all. We actually finished the effort below our budget estimate. And was principled enough to adjust our final bill down.
We feel fortunate that we found and chose . The outcome was fantastic and we genuinely enjoyed the process and all the great people who were involved in making it happen.
We recommend highly to anyone who is considering a remodeling project."

"We called the owner for a quote about 6 months before the job. He came and assessed our situation and gave us a quote for the labor and matierials and an estimate for the finish materials. We then had two unexpected medical emergencies and told him we would have to wait. We called him back 6 months later and he took me shopping for all materials: cabinets, tile, counter tops, etc. The cost increased ONLY BECAUSE MY CHOICE OF MATERIALS was not ordinary. Everything I chose was custom. His price for his labor remained the same. The job began and was always on our job when he said he would be there at the time he told us he would be there. He was a perfectionist when it came to quality. We left him alone on the job when we had other things to do. He and his brother (who did the painting to finish it) can be trusted to do what they say they are going to do. This job could have been done for about 10K less if standared materials had been chosen. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE WHETHER THE JOB IS BIG OR SMALL.
This is definitely a to choose. is a company based on high standards and integrity.
I would be glad to personally talk to anyone considering ."

"I have been working with of on several home remodel projects since March 2010. Projects include but are not limited to: complete kitchen remodel, closet renovation, extensive electrical work, etc. He originally said this job to last 3.5 weeks. It was later verbally extended to 5 weeks. It was then extended in writing to 90 days (with a completion date of June 12, 2010). It was further extended to 5, 2010 -- a date set by himself in writing -- when all previous deadlines were missed. The kitchen has been non-functional since April. We have no running water, no sink, no countertops. We have an unfinished wall and windows. The kitchen cabinet doors were supposed to be refinished, and were removed in late March. The cabinets nor the doors have been refinished. returned some of the cabinet doors unfinished but is still in possession of four. We don't have matching or functional counter tops, even though they are paid for. He brought three pieces, but only one small piece (not even the correct piece) is installed and every piece has a different pattern. has used countless stalling techniques to delay this project. He sets deadlines for himself, and then promptly breaks them. I have countless e-mails, some dating back as far as April, detailing when work will be finished. Very little has actually been completed. Here are just some of the jobs that were never finished: - counter tops - kitchen sink (including plumbing) - dishwasher plumbing - cabinet refinishing - kitchen walls painted - two recessed lights - kitchen skylight - horizontal kitchen window - ceilings in kitchen and dining room - exterior wall construction and stucco - exterior closet walls - rewiring (the is wired, but doesn't function correctly) - debris removal I consider myself a very patient person. I have spoken to many times to try to get this matter resolved. Until recently, he would barely return my phone calls. He has been evasive on several occasions and even hung up on me once when he didn't feel like explaining himself. He constantly text messages me or leaves voicemails to avoid addressing problems. In our latest phone conversation ( 13, 2010), he told me that he doesn't even feel comfortable setting a new date for completion. He has told me more than once that he doesn't have the funds to complete this project. He has only supplied me with invoices for about $2500 worth of work, even though I have paid him more than $3500 in total. I have been asking for the remaining invoices for going on two months. He has yet to account for nearly $1000 worth of materials he claims to have purchased for this project. also told us we would be getting a $275 refund for pool services not rendered. Even though I have a record of the check for the refund being cut that posted in his own website, we have not yet received the refund or an explanation for the delay. will not let me talk to the "owner" of his company, , or any of his suppliers, even though I have asked repeatedly. I have requested a partial refund of $2500 (I have paid $3510 to him so far). I have had several contractors tell me that the job will take at least $2500 to complete. Given the kind of service I have received from this company, I think 100% money back is in order, something professes to provide on its BBB profile. I have many e-mails, chat logs, cellphone records, text messages, voice recordings, invoices and photos, as well as contract to back up all my claims. This has been the most frustrating experiences of my life, bar none. I just want my money back so I can fix my kitchen and move on with my life."
