Phoenix Energy Consultants Reviews

"As seen in other reviews, the energy audit is really a sales method to sell you duct sealing services. The follow up after the testing was poor as I had to call to get my results. The report was based on outdated APS billing info. There was no infrared analysis in the report just pictures of duct work. I went ahead and had the duct sealing done and have not seen any savings as a result."

"The energy audit was somewhat cursory but the AC replacement estimate process was well done. The owner was very helpful and called me to discuss the issues with the energy audit and to discuss the estimate. I decided to go with another company for the A/C replacement due to a better warranty but

was very close 2nd choice."

"MTM did an outstanding and thoroughly professional job in all phases of the work. We couldn't have asked for better service, or more knowledgeable and professional personnel."

"The company rep called to offer me a free energy audit. I want to replace windows in my house so I set up an appointment for May 31st. On May 30th she called to tell me they were overbooked for that time and would like to come on June 1st. I explained I couldn't get off work that easily and they would need to call me later in the week. I asked her if they were a local company and she said they were;. However, she did not have a local address or telephone number to give to me. On June 1 they arrived at my house, I was still working since I had not set up an appointment and they called and left me an irate message. The man was upset with me because I had scheduled an appointment (I had not) and I wasn't there. On Thursday, the man called back again and asked why I wasn't there when they came to my house. I explained that I had not set up that appointment. The man wanted to know when I would be home so they could come. I told him I did not want to work with a company that was angry with me while they were still trying to sell their product. The man started doing a hard sell with me on their windows again but I told him I was not interested. I asked him if they were local and he said, Yes, he was from California but they had a local

office. He did not have the address. At that point I had had 4 telephone calls/messages with the company and they were all unsatisfactory ,or pushy and rude, except for the initial telephone call. On Saturday of that week, June 4th, a woman representative called me from the company and stated the week's event from their view and that they still wanted to sell me windows. I again explained that I would not hire a company that (1) overbooks on the intial sell and don't show up, indicating they would probably overbook at other times and would be unreliable at completing a project, (2) has representatives who talk angrily on the telephone to prospective customers before they even have sold you their product (3) and I questioned if they were a local company since the telephone calls from management were always from California.
She told me they did have a local source, but when I asked her for the telephone number or address, she put me on hold for five minutes while she went to find it. When she came back and gave me the address, I didn't get the feeling that they really were long term in

either, it was in

. I told the woman rep that I was not comfortable with their company and would not do business with a company that represented itself so poorly. I suggested they train their initial contact people better. The woman became upset and told me that it was obvious I was just having a bad day. I told her I wasn't having a bad day, at least not before I talked with her.

"The installation took less than a day to install and I was already off to saving money on my electric bill. The company that installed it was very professional and I had no problems with the company or the contractor that did the job. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to get their solar energy installed."

"Hello, I am very pleased with the solar energy installation services of
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
! I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a source of alternative energy for their homes or businesses. I sent in an information request and they responded with a complete list of solar energy installation companies and the prices that they have to offer. I don't know exactly how much I saved, but i know I saved a good amount of money on my solar panels. I even learned that the government is giving tax-deductions for the solar products I purchased. I was very satisfied with this companies performance, and I know you will be too!"

"They were very thorough. They spent about 5-6 hours at the house. We got some great information and will definitely take advantage of it in the future. My "C" for responsiveness was from a lack of follow up, but I never called them either. I was just surprised that having two professionals spending all that time for $99 was a lost leader for them. I would have assumed they would have followed up to see what services we would take advantage of. Like I said, we are very happy with the information we got and will follow up with them at some point to do some follow up and possibly have some work done.

"Their energy audit was terrific. They arrived punctually, explained in detail what they would be doing and proceeded to do the audit. When they were done with the audit work, they took about 45 minutes and wrote up a report that included pictures and documentation of issues. We then hired them to do the recommendations. Their crew arrived punctual, were very pleasant to work with, they were hard working. It was three guys working for about 10 hours. Before they left, they repeated the system air flow tests and documented for us the before and after numbers. We couldn't be happier with the results. Anyone interested in reducing their energy bills should consider hiring them to review their home.

"Great service. We bought a Big Deal and expected an upsale at the inspection. Imagine our surprise when we were told our house wasn't in dire need of any expensive additional service. All we paid for was the additional square footage (which we expected we would have to) and we are now at an R30. This will pay for itself in no time at all. Very professional from beginning to end.

"I felt
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and team did a good job.
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
was professional punctual, listened well and didn't oversell (which in this type of scenario is easy to do). The job started with an energy assessment. The gentleman that showed up was on time, very professional and did everything he could to stay out of our way while performing his assessment. He took time along the way to explain what he was doing and some of the things he was finding. I was surprised that the assessment took 5 hours (felt kind of trapped in my own home on a Saturday).
As the assessment,
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
setup an appointment to walk me though the findings. Again, straight forward, honest and sincere. He recommended only a couple things.
They day of the work
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
showed up with a trainee - I was impressed with how he taught and inspected the trainee's work.
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
performed much of work himself.
My only compliant was that they didn't take time to setup drop clothes or anything to cover the walls around the AC return intake where they were sealing. Subsequently the trainee got sealant on my floors and walls. It took some time for me to clean the floor, and in their attempts to remove the sealant from the wall, they started taking off paint.
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
compensated some by discounting the working to cover repainting the wall. Nonetheless I would like preferred to not have to spend time doing more work.
I felt the cost for the air balancing was a little high for what was actually done and materials used, but I really didn't have much of choice to move more air to another part of the house.
There was a little bit of confusion about paper work and forms to sign but we straightened that out.
Overall I had a good experience with
Phoenix Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and his team. Would recommend them but stress that they bring drop cloths and something to cover walls if they are doing any sealing.
