"The initial visit was $273, much of this was for blood work to make sure his major organswere doing what they were suppose to do. He also has a heart murror. The thing is, if you have an older dog.. the Vet reads from a list on the wall....all these symptoms older dogs may have issues with... does he sleep more than usual?, does he eat more/less than usual?, any problems with this or that...and so on and so on... well one of the questions was"does he drink more water than usual?"... I didnt think so, but my partner (foolishly) chimed in "Yes"...anyway that "yes" resulted in reccomended blood work, which was most of the bill. As it turned out, when I got his teeth cleaned a couple months later, that blood work would have been neccessary anyway for the anesthesia when he got his teeth cleaned.I suggest getting the prices before aggreeing to any sort of blood work...etc... that way you wont getsticker shock on your way out.I noticed that the last year or so.. his breath was getting noticably stinky.. honestly I didnt brush his teeth before. The vet showed me his teeth... how dirty they were, and the junk in there. So we got his teeth cleaneda couple months later, another $200. I thought this was a lot of money, but I guess it is all relative.I called a couple other places, and they were alot more.

in convenient for me, I live close by and can walk there. If you are a clean freak and expect a pretty office, you probably wont like the place. It is not filthy, but compared to Queen Village Vet is a little stinkier. The folks at Queen Villageare very nice and polished and have it all together, and

is.. well South Philly on thewrong side of Broad St...lol. a little rough around the edges perhaps , but I find them skilled in what they do, and caring for animals.Im not a hypocondriach when it comes to my dog. I try to take good care of him because hedeserves it and i can afford to. While

isn't posh, it does the trick. My dog is well, and Im brushing his teeth once a week... which make his kissed a lot more tolerable.

will continue to be my vet, I've been there 4 or 5 times and i am satisfied. Also, I don't feel as if they are trying to sell me extra stuff I might not need, as I have had other Vets do.

"What this company does is list housing in desirable locations on Craigslist, with no exact address and only their phone number, specifying things like "flexible landlord" and "pets allowed". So, for the desperate pet owner who has been looking for months but is, essentially being discriminated against for having dogs, it's worth a try. Needless to say, when you pay 200 for their "exclusive list", the properties you saw advertised are not on the list. And of course, when you point that out, they tell you that they have no control over what their marketing department posts and have no information about that particular listing. So, the company is a fake."

"Dr. Radbill has been caring for our cats since early 2001. We switched to his practice when our prior vet's office was bought by a national chain and went ultra-high-tech with its treatment recommendations. Dr. Radbill is kind, practical, thoughtful and never goes for a complicated or ridiculously expensive treatment plan when a simpler solution is just as good. He takes the time to use his hands, eyes, ears and extensive experience to diagnose what is going on with an animal, turning to more invasive and expensive tests and tools only when necessary.
Recently, when our 11-year-old girl cat had a bad reaction to a flea treatment and stopped eating, I took her to an emergency clinic, where they wanted to subject her to several thousand several thousand dollars'-worth of intrusive testing to

out some serious-but-unlikely possibilities. Instead, I asked them to stabilize her with subcutaneous fluids and anti-nausea meds and called Dr. Radbill's office in the morning. He made room in his schedule for us right away, did some

in-office blood work, and identified the probable cause of her distress as pancreatitis. We treated her for that, which meant more anti-nausea meds, liquid nutrition and subcutaneous fluids -- all administered at home where she was more comfortable -- and Dr. Radbill called me every day until she was eating on her own again, five days later. If she hadn't improved in another day or so, we could still have done the expensive tests, but the

solution turned out to be the right one, and it saved my cat from much more distress and me from a huge and unnecessary bill.
Dr. Radbill has been similarly straight-forward, caring and effective with all three of the cats we have brought to him over the years, including when it came time to end the life of one of them who was very old and in pain that could no longer be assuaged. In that case, he was compassionate and supportive, giving me time alone with my boy cat but also making sure that I knew that I was doing the right thing.
Dr. Dalago, who recently joined the practice, is another vet in the same tradition. We recommend this practice to anyone who wants traditional, practical and compassionate care for their pets.

is always very caring and they have some of the lowest prices in the city because they believe in keeping their costs down so people can take care of their animals. They're really good at their range of recommendations. You can bring feral or stray cats there for neutering. "

"We stopped using him because our dog passed away. A bunch of vets got together and took over an older practice. Each individual visit was about $90, but that included all of his shots. We used her for about 8 years. She is a very caring person. She actually would not recommend things because of cost and she said we could go another way and it did not seem to affect the dog. The dog got along with her. Overall it was an excellent experience when we went to see her."

"They are very thorough, but are expensive. I really like the doctor I use. They are very professional. They are very responsive and caring. The only issue I have with this clinic is the price. Other than that, it is a great clinic. I have been using them for years."

"My dog died while under their care, and lived critically ill for several months needlessly. If they didn't know what was wrong with my pet, do the tests to find out. We spend alot of money for our pets, so money was not an issue. Even if we were not able to afford expensive treatment, there was no excuse for having my beagle suffer for months with cancer."

"I am very satisfied with the care ,y dog has received. They came recommended to me from a neighbor. My dog liked going there. They are very professional. They are a little high priced."

"For the most part, the experience was fine. The technician took me and my cat into the patient's room. The vet, Dr. Gurth, is extremely warm and professional.

However, I just need to say that Dr. Gurth departed rather abruptly after the appointment was done. My cat and I had waited about 20 minutes before seeing her, and then after giving my cat shots, she split without signaling that we were done. Upon exit, I saw that she was off to see another client, which is fine, but at least one can communicate that the appointment was complete."

"Amazing! The vet spent so much time with us, and was so kind and affectionate toward our animals. She really listened to us regarding concerns we had. She discovered that one of our cats has had worms since we got him from a shelter, even though this was a visit for an eye problem, she addressed all of our concerns about him. This is something we had seen our previous vet about, but he never spent enough time with our cat to consider his diarrhea was from parasites. Our little guy is doing great now, thanks to

. The night of our appointment, we got a detailed email from the vet with all of her recommendations about our cats (different brands of food to try, etc). A couple days later we got another email from one of the vet techs checking in to see how our cats were doing and see if we had any questions. We love that they are paper-less and have an e-medical record for our pets that we can log into from home. Very efficient, high tech office. Can't say enough how great this vet is!
