COMPLAINT: Larry Polinsky, Langhorne
"I hired Gunton Corp. to replace my patio sliding glass door and the front entrance door. The installation itself went fairly well and was on time. What didn't go well were the financial terms.

They expected payment in full, three months prior to installation. After the work was completed, I found a piece of packing tape stuck to the siding and about two feet below that I found a hole in my siding.

I called the salesman who said someone would come to check. Two weeks later, someone did and said it wasn't their fault. I called headquarters and they accused me of making it up."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like to have the hole in my siding repaired."

RESPONSE: Brian Algeo, customer service manager, Gunton Corp.
"After a careful investigation, it's our conclusion the damage to his siding was of no fault of Pella Window & Door/Gunton Corp.

The location of the damage wasn't in the vicinity of the work done by us. It's our conclusion the damage was done by a weed whacker as several rock piles are present.

STATUS: Stalemate
