"They came out to preform the service I paid for and then they said that they needed to break the job down into 2 parts and said that we need to pay additional for" the 2nd part and the quote for that seems excessive. Then they wanted to add a third part and charge us for that also. It may be a reasonal price that they are proposing, but I am going to get additional quotes before I decided whether to move forward with this deal and using them. I have received additional estimates from service providers with the expertise to let me know that I didn't even need the service in the first place.

"Contacted 12/2 at about 4 pm. Pleasant receptionist helped clarify my problem then scheduled the job for the next day between 9 and 11 am. We received a call at" 8:50 am on 12/3 notifying us the plumber would arrive at 9 and he did. quickly diagnosed and snaked out the main drain, after which he explained the problem and recommended yearly maintenance. He answered all of our questions and went on his way.

From start to finish this crew was professional, kind to my elderly mother and the other family members. they even cleaned up the mess and boarded up the wall. They do not repair drywall since they stated customers complained and they are not drywall professionals. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends, families!

I was able to obtain an appointment the next day. They were late but they did call and I understand the previous job had issues so it wasn't a big deal to me. They were very polite and professional and they were done within an hour. They even managed to help my wife into the house since she locked herself out. Overall it was a great experience ...More and I would recommend them to anyone for service. The price was also great too.

Where to begin with how excellent my experience was with this company? We had just completed a basement renovation and our basement had flooded once as a result of us capping off the garage drain. Our contractors were convinced that we needed a $4,000 trench drain to prevent flooding, but we weren't. One of the things we had learned from a second ...More heavy rain that almost flooded the basement again was that even when the rear drain seemed clear, within seconds you could put your hand in and scoop out dirt, suggesting some kind of blockage in the drain line. Faced with the prospect of another heavy storm, we called at 4:45 pm on a Tuesday, he called back within 10 minutes or so and made plans to arrive the next morning. He had an emergency on another job, and called with updates about his arrival, which I found very professional.
When he arrived, he was amiable and direct. He gave me best and worst case scenarios, asked me to do some tests such as turn on all of the water in the basement to assess flow in the rear drain, and then he went to work. He snaked the drain, he used his camera, and got to work tunneling. He apprised me of the what he was doing at every step, and was determined to fix the problem. It took him far longer than he anticipated -- about 3 or 4 hours perhaps, but he was determined to help us because he knew that if the heavy rains came, we would definitely be flooded. At the end of it all, he was able to remove the stump which we found about 80 feet in from the rear drain. He invited me to to listen to the drain from both ends of the house (I could hear his assistant drilling on one end, and the water running through the drain from a hose on the other) to hear that it was clear.
Alas, no heavy rain since his visit but we were delighted with his work, his professionalism, his energy (he's very funny and engaging) and his responsiveness. He seemed to really care about our plight. Best of all, we feel like we solved the problem from the source. As noted, we could have spent $4,000 on the trench drain and found ourselves in the same mess. I recommend him enthusiastically!

We were having a backup in our sewer line which runs about 120 feet under our neighbors lawn and into the public sewer line. The came in and put a camera in our sewer line and determined that there was a clog about halfway down to the public sewer consisting of tree roots and a partial collapse of the line. They then cleaned ...More the line completely with the appropriate tools and prepared to put a liner into the line. They located the line outside of the house and dug a 3ftX3ft hole in the driveway about 6ft deep, cut a hole in the top of the line.(sort of Arthroscopic Surgery for sewer lines) They then lined the pipe down to the street and into the house with an ingenious lining system and epoxied it to the old pipe and filled it with a bladder inflated by a compressor to press the glue to the old pipeline until it cured. They left this overnight and came back the next day. They then pulled out the bladder, connected the two pipes with new PVC and filled the small hole in the driveway. When it was all done they gave us a DVD of the before and after that they had taken showing a completely clean sewer line. They guarantee the new line for life. They are insured for liability by quality insurers and they provide a certificate of insurance.
The owner does this anywhere and had just returned from a job in Wisconsin, and trains others to do the work. His team of three were very knowledgeable, confidant and professional.(it was pretty cold and the crew chief could have pulled the bladder out the night before but wanted it to cure longer so he left it in overnight-obviously an inconvenience to us but clearly the correct decision)

: I called on short notice on the Saturday before Mothers Day. I was told that I had two other people ahead of me but that he would be out to my house after their service call was finished. It was late in the afternoon when showed up, but he made it. He checked the main line ...More only to find that the problem had fixed itself. He wished me a good-night and said there was no charge.

My family owns a commercial building in the city with a restaurant as a tenant. A couple of days before Christmas, we noticed that the sewer pipe had backed up and approximately a foot of sewage had spilled into our basement. I called based on the recommendations of others on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. ...More and , from , called the next morning, said they would be at the building at 9:30am and arrived as promised. They were very pleasant and spent the next couple of hours with a motorized snake cleaning out our 4" sewer pipe, which was clogged by grease buildup from the restaurant. After unclogging the pipe, they ran the sump pump to empty the basement, and then followed up by putting a fiber optic camera through the pipe to show me that the clog was gone.

They also gave me a quote to replace a section of the sewer pipe that had become corroded and cracked. They came back a few days later and completed the work as expected. All-in-all a very positive experience...at least as positive as sewer water in the basement and a broken sewer pipe can be.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs plumbing work done and would use them again in a heartbeat if I need plumbing work done to the building.

I have modified this review based on subsequent things I have learned. I originally called them the best in the business. I don't think that is true anymore. I learned for example, that no permit was filed with the city to do this work which is very surprising to me. While they worked all night to finish the job, there were clear violations ...More of safety rules made which could have been dangerous in not shoring up the trench walls securely. I also discovered that there is another technology called trench less sewer replacement which would have been a much better solution but was something they could not do. My final discovery was that the original new trap put in only 6 months ago had a hole at the bottom of it which would have eventually clogged the drain. Not putting in new intact piping when you are paying over $12,000 for a job is simply not excusable. The rest of my review below is still true.

What do you say about a team of plumbers who literally worked from 8:30 AM to 9 AM the following day to finish what some have called the "worst plumbing job" they ever encountered. It was an amazing marathon of work. They literally dug a trench with a backhoe up a steep hill and around a precious tree in order to begin the job at 9 AM. They dug 20 feet into the ground in order to find the sewer line only to discover that it was and it was recommended to me not to replace it. They told me around 4 PM after having dug all day that I would have to have a new contract for more money but that they would dig into the middle of my house, find the cast iron pipe in the basement and put a new pipe under the foundation of the house! I thought they would go home and do this the next day, but they decided to start that evening. They literally dug out the cement floor in my basement with and shovels to find the sewer line and then excavated a hole under the basement and under the foundation of the house. Meanwhile they used a backhoe outside of the house to dig out under the foundation of the house and placed an iron pipe through the floor wall which was the beginning of the new sewer line. They dug working backwards using the backhoe toward the , adding pipe, connecting joints with lead at depths of 10-13 feet underground. At my request, they avoided digging up a tree that must be 80-100 years old and a retaining wall that would have cost a lot of money to replace. Working through the night and after midnight when I finally went to sleep some, they inched backwards to put in a new sewer line, trap and vent at the and then hooked it up to the street sewer. When I got up in the morning, they were putting the final mounds of dirt over the trench and worked on sweeping up my neighbor's walkway which was buried under three feet of soil.

I have a few minor complaints. They smoked too much and left butts around the grounds. The molten lead was on the grass and I will spend some time cleaning it up. The soil was simply replaced without tamping which means that I have to wait a few weeks before replacing the cement walkway so that the soil can settle. And there are a lot of big rocks that have to be removed in order to landscape the property.

But I remain in deep admiration of the dedication and work of these sewer line workers and the backhoe operator. They really worked on no sleep to finish this job despite my own admonition that they should go home and get some sleep. I am reassured that they all got the next day off.
