Fantastic - so easy to work with. Very responsive to emails. We had several roofers come out who made the project much bigger than it needed to be (we can't just replace the roof - you need ALL NEW SIDING TOO!).
was completely honest with us and kept the project small (and affordable for us!).
We had major leaking due to ice dams over the winter.
came out in 0-degree weather to patch up the roof until it could be replaced this summer. He didn't even charge extra for this service.
A true professional. Our roof looks better than any of our neighbors and it didn't break the bank.

The owner, Bill
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to look at my roof and seemed like a nice guy. He told me he'd e-mail me the next morning with an estimate. I called the following afternoon as I hadn't heard back from him with the estimate. The receptionist confirmed they had my correct e-mail and would send an estimate. Two days later, I still hadn't received an estimate so I called them again. They again confirmed they had my correct e-mail address. The receptionist stated that Bill would be back in that afternoon. I never heard back from them regarding the estimate--very poor customer service. Another roofing company came out and provided a $1500 estimate--I guess my roofing job was too small for

Note - This review was cross-posted in January 2014 to the contractor's customer satisfaction survey website. I am re-posting to
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
so that I can also update now that 6 months has passed since project.
First, the contractor brought the wrong door. They arrived with a fiberglass door, I had purchased a steel one. When they returned with the steel door, it was not the one I ordered (4 panel not a 6).
Second, the level of cleanup at the end of Project Day 1 around my house's exterior was disappointing. Because the entryway was being widened, the workers had to remove stucco and the brick underneath. The 2 workers from Day 1 left piles of brick dust & debris all over my front steps, garbage cans next to the steps, front windowsill, etc. The workman from Day 2 (
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
) did a much better job of cleaning up after himself (and coworkers) but still left significant dust outside that I had to cleanup later.
More significantly was the amount of dust that entered the interior of the house because the cover used by the workers on Day 1 did not adequately prevent dust from blowing back into the house. I had specifically discussed this concern with
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
when finalizing the project. He assured me that the area would be properly covered so that "blowback" would not be an issue. Because of his assurances, I did not cover my furniture which, as a result, was covered by a

of brick dust at the end of Day 1.
Similarly, I asked the workers on Day 1 if I needed to move a rug that I had near the front door. Again, the workers assured me that removal was unnecessary because the area would be covered. Unfortunately, it was not properly covered and thus, stained red by the end of Day 1.
Update - status as of 7/16/2014: The front door has been sticking horribly. On days with minimum humidity, I have to throw my weight against the door to open/close it. Contacted contractor company on 7/1 to schedule repairs. Despite providing various dates/times of availability and the door being under warranty, am still waiting to have someone come out to fix it. Though
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
provided good customer service leading up to project, all that goodwill has eroded by difficulties in getting them back to correct work. Thus, level of responsiveness is now "D".
The basement window has held up so far. The parging done around the door to cover brick that had been exposed by project started cracking a few months ago.

and his crew are and were just what we wanted. High quality roof (copper drain box, double lapped seams, entirely sealed rain leader to downspout connections). This will be a 30 year roof and was well worth the higher cost.

finished the work in two days, didn't need to get into my house and came back (at my request) the next week to send me before/after photos.

Great bunch of guys. On time, very courteous and professional and high quality work. Didn't try to upsell me with a bunch of services that I didn't need. I would use them again if I had a need. They basically came in, swept down the roof, installed the new roof, mopped it down, installed a new drainage box and downspout, cleaned up after they were done and even took several photos so we could see the work that was performed.

This is the second job I have used
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to complete. As with the roofing job at my other property, in this case they were very easy to deal with.

and

are great with communication and scheduling. The estimator was on time right to the minute. The work crew showed and completed the work exactly as scheduled. The quality of their work is excellent, and the crew do a great job, from the job itself all the way through cleanup. I highly recommend

They provided an estimate for a new roof on a 60yr old row house. The estimate included a 10yr guarantee and an option to replace the skylight.

I called originally because my skylight had been leaking, they come up there and suggested I do all the work listed below:
- Install white torrchdown rubber to top roof.
- Install white torrchdown rubber to partywalls.
- Install rubber flashing around chimney skylight.
- Install new 4" drain box on back of roof.
- Install new white capping on back, front of roof.
- Apply roofing cement to all capping
- Caulk and seal glass on skylight.
I figured well, why not, investment on a roof is never wasted.
I have paid the $1650 in April 2014. Today is
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
8th, 2014.
First off (this should have been a red flag) they never provided a BEFORE pics, and after the supposed work was "completed" there is no AFTER pics either. What? Do they expect me to climb up there myself to verify?
The skylight is still leaking - of course at this point I didn't know that there was nothing actually done there.
Days pass by and the skylight is still leaking....
I finally went up there on
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
3rd 2014 because the skylight is STILL LEAKING and realized then that NONE of the work has been done.
Today I call them, sending them a copy of the work order and a picture of the roof taken on
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
3rd, 2014.
I will revise when I get a resolution.

Our roof continually leaked during storms, and Sandy was the final straw. Unfortunately, insurance wouldn't cover the roof repair, so we shopped around for a best price.
Philadelphia Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came through-they had a great price, and repaired and replaced what was needed in one day. They were timely, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.
