Philadelphia Remodeling Contractors Reviews
"they did the board up, Gut out, demo, removal, framing, electric, plumbing, kitchen, bath, drywall, taping, painting, trim work, doors, windows, roofing, deck work, masonry work in the basement"
"It turned out really well, but the process was a little confusing since they’re a pretty big outfit. The job took 5 days, and it seemed like every day a new sub-contractor was out. I had to explain the project each day. However, they did very good work."
"They were really great to talk to, very down to earth and spent time explaining things to me. The followed up with e-mails and phone calls very promptly."
"It was hard to find someone that did ceiling work. They put a sign outside our lawn. It was one guy who did the work which I couldn’t believe it because it was a 10x7 ceiling. It was nicely done although it did take time to replace the ceiling light. It was hard to get an appointment but once we did, they did it. We had one company that wanted $1,700. They were efficient. There wasn't anything bad except for normal communication problems which you have with a business with a guy on the road and the other person in the office and we're trying to communicate with the guy on the road. It took over a week to get the light replaced. He pulled the wire so the original light was useless. They didn't charge any extra to put it in. He came in and it took 10 minutes to put it in and that was it, so when he did do it, that was cool. Overall it was good and they did a great job. They gave us a better price than the other guy. We would definitely use them again."
"<strong>HORRIBLE! </strong>I was pregnant and diagnosed as high-risk. I went on a trip to relax and gave them a key to my house and expected them to have at least half of the work done. When I got home they had done absolutely nothing. I had to call no less than 7 times before someone even came out to start the work. He started with my bathroom and gutted the entire room. They provided no rubbish bin outside which was promised when I hired them. They put all of the rubbish on my front porch. After he had gutted the entire bathroom he said that he had to leave and would be back the next day. He provided a bucket for me and my two children to use and left! I called the office and they said they would send someone out. They sent no one for two days. Being 7 months pregnant, it was very difficult trying to use that bucket so I had to use the neighbors bathroom. The HVAC system is a hack job which worked for one year and hasn't worked since. I almost got electrocuted because they did not remove live wires which they had cut and left dangling. I had tiles installed on my floor and counter and they cracked in several places after only a couple of months. Father & Son goes by several different names so watch out! They also hire subcontractors who are THE most illiterate, unprofessional, ignoramuses ever. Talk about your village missing their idiots! I had all new furniture which could not be placed in the rooms and they wiped their tools on the sofas, etc. One of the subcontractors, after installing the tiles in the bathroom, stole the rest of the tiles which was enough to tile another room. F&S sued them and gave me nothing. They kept the money. After reporting them they were to give me over $3000 in refunds and would not mail them. They wanted me to come in and pick it up. I was in another country! My brother, who was a US Marine, died and we had a "
"I was referred to TJ by my mother, who had used his services for her own home remodeling plans. I just purchased a new home in access to my house and he took responsible care of the house in my absent, locking up and turning off all the electricity etc. Since I wasn't in a rush to have the work completed, TJ and his contracting partner (his father, in fact) were able to take their time and were very communicative about any snags in the contracting process.<br /> <br /> For the most part, TJ provided the majority of parts, based on my selections and tastes. I worked with him to select Lowe's products, since he could get a discount and would pass those savings to me. He also understood what my design aims were and he purchased additional items accordingly. I was very pleased with not having to bother too much about the acquisition of the materials for him.<br /> <br /> The hardwood floors TJ selected (based on a match against previously existing flooring) look beautiful. The vanities and mirrors and lighting I selected were installed well and functional wonderfully. The paint job in the bathroom and "
