Plumbing reviews in Philadelphia
However, the toilet kept running and when the plumber returned to address the problem, he told me that his boss asked for the coupon back because we'd "shorted him substantially." Needless to say, I refused, explaining that a) that's false advertising with the coupon and b) it's not my fault they may have accidentally ordered and installed an expensive part I did not ask for. He agreed and we left it at that.
Fast forward 9 months and guess what breaks? The very fill valve he installed. We call
Bill came out twice - first to diagnose the problem and then a second appointment to do the repair. My house is over 100 years old and this particular pipe was the original cast iron. On top of that, it was located in the attic and vented out through the roof. In other words, this potentially was a repair that could go south quickly.
After checking out the pipe, Bill clearly explained to me the situation and offered me different repair options. In other words, he gave me "best case" and "worst case" scenarios based on what may happen if he had to cut in to the pipe in order to repair/replace it.
Fortunately, Bill came up with an affordable, minimally invasive option that solved the problem. Because of the rather inaccessible location of the pipe inside the attic, he took a photo of the repaired pipe for me so that I have visual proof for the realtor and home inspector. Bill has also backed his work with a 1-year warranty, which has given me peace of mind.
Bill was great. Very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and thoughtful. I highly recommend him and would refer him to anyone seeking an excellent, reliable master plumber who knows his way around old historic houses.
Service was performed by one of his technicians, and was done promptly and punctually. No mess left behind, and the installation was solid.
My one complaint is that he disposed of the packaging for the new faucet, which contained the paperwork for the product's lifetime warranty. This is partly on me because I didn't think to stop him before he left with the box. But when I called the company that same day to try and track it down again, I was told it would be dropped on my doorstep, and then it wasn't. I figured at that point it was lost and did not follow up.
For the most part, though, this is a good and efficient plumbing co. that I would use again. This is actually my second time using them so I feel qualified saying that.
come out, but since we thought it wasn't that serious I agreed to wait until Friday morning.
who insisted that I would pay what I had to in order to get to the bottom of a problem. The toilets and sinks had needed
plunging and drain-o before, but the problem always seemed to resolve itself, so we thought we were doing something right,
but this time I suspected that the problem was more systemic and more beyond our control than we had previously thought.
The plumbers had to rip out drywall and cut some studs before they could reach the old cement to rip it out and pull out the old pipe, so the basement will have to be partially reconstructed. They carted away many, many bags of cement chunks, mud,
refuse, etc. Half the basement was flooded about a half inch to an inch with wastewater. The smell was horrific. They
never complained!! Later I found out that one of the plumbers had run outdoors to vomit. He was too polite to tell me. I learned through my husband. He also said it was the most obnoxious job he'd done in seven years, but he was glad to solve our problem for us. He had to weld the new pipes together in the basement, there being no way to take pipes outdoors to weld! So the whole house alarm system was constantly screeching, adding headache to stench.
The job continued into Saturday. The plumbers arrived two and a half hours late. When they left my home at 10 PM on Friday Mr.
they never heard the alarm on Saturday morning. I'm willing to believe it, and I'm satisfied, even though I became anxious on Saturday morning, because the job was wonderfully done. The toilets and sinks drain absolutely beautifully. The men did a
wonderful job cleaning up. All I have to do is get the dust out. With open basement windows and a big box fan running constantly the smell is gone. The floors have mud-dust and all the furniture that I couldn't cover is covered with white,

and new drywall in place, we'll get the place looking and feeling like new. I'm very relieved and satisfied. In answer to your question, "Would you use this provider in the future?" I don't think I'll have to!I (Yes, of course, I'd use
