was personable, professional and informative. He was on-the-dot on-time. He explained everything during the diagnostic part of the visit and my options, so that I felt fully confident in the work he completed. He was considerate and polite and cleaned up thoroughly.

I called
after seeing his faucet replacement deal on Angie's list since we had a leaking faucet and weren't sure if it needed to be replaced.
came by to check it out and recommended we replace the faucet based on a few issues he pointed out. The faucet we picked out ended up being an issue since it required both the faucet and drain to be replaced.
explained the situation including the additional cost since it was not just a faucet replacement. He offered that we could get a different faucet to keep the cost of labor down. We went with the faucet/drain we had already purchased and
installed it right away. The new faucet looks great and he even scrubbed some old grout that had been on the sink without asking (it had been annoying us for years!).
I would definitely hire
again!

The kitchen sink was draining slow and the main drain was leaking water in the basement. Searched Angie's List for plumbers in my area with good ratings of course and happened upon
Philadelphia Plumbers Provider Name Locked
's Big Deal. Just like another member noted, they answered the phone after one ring. A few days later Bill came out to conduct the estimate. He was punctual and professional. He found that the main drain was cracked and clogged. Due to the nature of the job, it had to be scheduled for another day so that more man hours could be devoted. Once the job was completed they checked to make sure everything was working correctly and gave me a review of what was done. I was very pleased with their work.

After a bumpy start with communications it was resolved and the problems fixed very professionally. Asked to have the owner call me about future work but never received a call back.

It went very smooth and quickly. They worked around my work scheduled and even came out on a Saturday. Very helpful and got the job done right. I will be calling them in the future for any issues that might arise.

He came the day I called and completed the work that evening around 6:30pm, and was pleasant. I paid with credit card, however after he left I remembered the 10% members coupon. I called the next day about the 10% members coupon. He was not pleasant, however he said, if he could, he would credit my count, if not he would send a check. It has been two weeks since the work was done, and I have not received a credit on my credit card, nor have I received a check. I was disappointed as I took him at his word.

It was terrific. Went above and beyond to help me especially when water being turned on caused a geyser due to unexpected cracked pipe. Not only will I use them again, I already have them scheduled for next week to take care of a few more plumbing issues. Thanks to Angie's list I found

PLUMBING. I have never experienced anything like this.
Philadelphia Plumbers Provider Name Locked
came to inspect my toilet, which was running, in September 2013.

, the owner, gave me two estimates for both the part (a fill valve) and labor--one for $250 for a plastic fill valve and one for $375 for a brass fill valve--and I chose the cheaper one since he said there was no difference. The part took a week longer to come in than estimated, but I had the work done. When the plumber completed the work, he told me that the cost would be $375! When I told him that I was quoted at $250 and had an Angie's List coupon for 10% off, he said ok and took my check for $225.
However, the toilet kept running and when the plumber returned to address the problem, he told me that his boss asked for the coupon back because we'd "shorted him substantially." Needless to say, I refused, explaining that a) that's false advertising with the coupon and b) it's not my fault they may have accidentally ordered and installed an expensive part I did not ask for. He agreed and we left it at that.
Fast forward 9 months and guess what breaks? The very fill valve he installed. We call

know, and he claims he has no records of the specific part he installed or where he got it from, so there's no way of knowing if it's under warranty. I have never heard of a business that does not keep any records. Furthermore, he has no interest in helping us out in any other way. I cannot explain what a nightmare it has been dealing with this company, but they are to be avoided at all costs if you don't want to

$250 like we did only to wind up with a toilet that's still broken.

I was preparing to sell my house when I noticed I had a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom. Initially, I thought the leak was coming from the roof, but it turned out to be coming from the sewer stack pipe in the attic.
Bill came out twice - first to diagnose the problem and then a second appointment to do the repair. My house is over 100 years old and this particular pipe was the original cast iron. On top of that, it was located in the attic and vented out through the roof. In other words, this potentially was a repair that could go south quickly.
After checking out the pipe, Bill clearly explained to me the situation and offered me different repair options. In other words, he gave me "best case" and "worst case" scenarios based on what may happen if he had to cut in to the pipe in order to repair/replace it.
Fortunately, Bill came up with an affordable, minimally invasive option that solved the problem. Because of the rather inaccessible location of the pipe inside the attic, he took a photo of the repaired pipe for me so that I have visual proof for the realtor and home inspector. Bill has also backed his work with a 1-year warranty, which has given me peace of mind.
Bill was great. Very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and thoughtful. I highly recommend him and would refer him to anyone seeking an excellent, reliable master plumber who knows his way around old historic houses.

They cleared weeds out the drain and 2 months it was clogged again. The new company I called was Sewer Solutions and they charged me the same amount 150.00 but they had a underground camera system. They showed another clog further upstream. I've had no problems since then.
