Orthopedic Care Reviews in Philadelphia

He’s terrific and he’s very personable. He doesn’t rush you and he explains everything. The only problem is that, he’s a part of the
Institute and they are difficult to deal with. It’s just difficult with them, but the doctor himself is wonderful. I’m doing well now. He’s excellent. Once you get a hold of him and once you see him, its fine. It’s the
Institute that is condescending. He’s very good with punctuality. I have insurance to take care of my bills. I will absolutely use his services again in the future.

Horribly. The surgery left me with an uncontrolled drop foot, constant pain, almost all use of my ankle, and an unstable foot. I have spent seven months in physical therapy and thousands of dollars in devices and treatments, none of which have helped me to walk better. I will probably need an ankle fusion.

Orthopedic Care reviews in Philadelphia

I did not have more than one meeting with Dr.

prior to the surgery as my condition required immediate attention. I found that being off all pain medications that are non-inflamatory and narcotic meds, for at least 2 weeks prior to surgery abit inhumane. I do understand the need to stay off meds that can thin your blood, but I was in such pain prior to surgery and they "matter-of-factly' said I could only take Tylenol. This was my only complaint. As a result of this I could not work at any of my jobs which I have THREE. I was completely unable to do anything and I still don't know the reasoning behind it as I didn't see any great improvement after the surgery. The surgery went smoothly. I was operated on Monday and discharged on Tuesday--a fact that was abit unnerving. I cannot blame that on my doctor, that would be the fault of our glorious INSURANCE COMPANIES. I am STILL struggling to get back on my feet and this is 3 weeks post-op, but the doctor was very good with explaining my post-op symptoms and patient with my questions, so I am pleased with the overall treatment and would definitely go back to Dr.

Dr. Sheik diagnosed my problem and gave me an injection to ease the arthritis pain. He told me to come back if it acted up again. A few months later I returned, as the injection had worn off. I asked him if there was any kind of surgery that could correct my problem, since I felt that injections weren't going to be the answer, and he agreed. He promptly explained to me that there was a surgery option, which I chose. The surgery and follow up surgery was peformed by him and the results have been great. He was informative, concise, and instructed me as to what exercises I needed to do to get the best results.

I was walking around with a sore shoulder for about a month. He told me that I had something called frozen shoulder. My arm was getting stiffer and stiffer. I could barely move it at one point. He told me that usually happens to diabetics but I'm not diabetic. So, he gave me exercises to do for the last six months. He finally dismissed me and told me that I had to do the rest of it myself. Why would he totally dismiss me? Why not have me come back in three months to see how I'm doing? I'm not sure if he dumped me because my insurance company said something to him. Overall, my experiences with him was fine. I continue to do the exercises that he told me to do because they work. My shoulder is only getting better. My message has to be relayed to the doctor if I want to speak to him about something. He has an accent so it's kind of hard to understand him at times. I probably won't go back to him because he cut me off.
