"I was surprised and thrilled to receive a moving date within several days of calling. I was called when they were on their way, they arrived several minutes early, went immediately to work and worked straight through lunch to get me packed as quickly as possible. Every member of the crew was exceedingly courteous and careful - furniture was disassembled and reassembled quickly and capably. Not even a tiny 
was made on any walls in either home. , the crew chief, was a pro at staging and loading and was respectful and considerate to his crew. And they were even accommodating when asked to rearrange some of the furniture. All in all, a first rate and delightful team of guys who really know what they are doing. I recommend them highly - you will not be disappointed."

"I had previously used this company on a move from Chestnut Hill to Center City in 2006. The marble table needed TLC and since they handled it well the last time I called them again - after one of the Center City based moving companies seemed unsure of how best to package it and actually referred me elsewhere. The company owner came out prior to the move to review what would be moved and provide an estimate. On move day, the main crew arrived a little later than expected but got right to work loading the first truck (they opted for 2 smaller trucks which could be backed into my parking spot instead of 1 large one which would block traffic). The owner came later to personally oversee and assist with the heavy marble slab table top and finish loading the 2nd truck. One of the crew members remembered moving the table into the house the last time - nice to see some good employee retention.
The crew members were polite and friendly and even got along well with our puppy (11 mo old black lab). They worked efficiently and completed the job on time (just before one of our winter storms hit!). Seemed like it took only as much time as it needed - wasn't dragged out. Nothing was damaged and they took particular care to get the table set up and centered properly.
Gentleman Mover is based in Conshohocken so it can be more expensive than a CC firm due to additional travel time (unless you're heading to or from the western suburbs I suppose). The hourly rate was more or less in line with other firms (within $5/hr). The final cost was in line with the estimate - no suprises.
I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again myself."

"I made an appointment for my parents (who live out of town) to move from one apartment to another. They were prompt and professional and the move went very well."

"I called roughly 3 weeks ahead of my move date and left a message that was returned very promptly - I believe the gentleman I spoke with was . I described the contents of my apartment, and based on my description he gave me an estimate that seemed fair. I was still a little uncomfortable that I hadn't given a complete enough description of what I was moving, so I called again and asked if would come and actually look at my furniture & boxes to confirm the estimate. He did this and was able to confirm the estimate he had given by phone.
On moving day and his crew arrived about 20 - 30 minutes early....maybe 7:30 or so. It was already sweltering, but they got right to work. They were really quick and efficient - had the truck loaded in under 2 hours. They were clearly very experienced and handled my items as though they were their own. Things went just as smoothly when we arrived at my destination - the offloading was very speedy despite the overwhelming heat (I believe the heat index was over 100 that day).
I know there are other moving companies in the area that are more glitzy and flashy, but I was thrilled with my experience with Pack Rats and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Philly area looking for a mover."

"It went extremely well!! The young men were courteous, professional and very careful not to damage walls or furniture in either home. I had thought they would have to disassemble the bike, but they easily carried it out assembled. The whole process from start to finish took one hour. Their minimum charge is for two hours, but their charge was less then it would cost me for a new treadmill. Also, they used their own truck saving me the expense of renting one. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else!!"

" came out and did an estimate and walked me through the process. He did a great job and I felt comfortable. On the day of the move the guys came, were very professional and fast and everything went according to plan. Nothing was broken everything was in place and I was very pleased. The bid they originally provided was accurate. I believe that the job ended up costing a bit less. They deliver excellent service for the price. Since my experience in 2006, I have recommended them to 2 other friends who have both had outstanding experiences: one friend moved an apartment in 2008 and the other moved the contents of her entire 4-story house this spring of 2010. I will continue to highly recommend them."

"We love these guys. They are polite, professional and smart. The price came in right at their estimate. There was no fooling around on the price. I was really impressed that they were willing to go over to our storage space and load up all that stuff and move it too. After we were all moved in we invited them to hang out on our new porch and shared some with them. Very nice guys. That was just about two years ago. About a month ago we called them again to move a piano we found for free on 's List. Again, The service was outstanding and the price was fair -about $250- substantially less than a quote we got from a piano company that moves pianos and charges $10 per stair. charges by the hour and the quote matched the bill.
We don't plan on moving again for a looooooong time, but if we do, we would definitely use the A- Team again!"

"I think I wrote all the information in the paragraph above. (so, please read that.)
Overall, it was great both times using them. I did not have to lift a finger the whole time, they seemed like
they knew what they were doing from the moment they walked in. They had it all planned out beforehand. , the owner, was very careful and attentive of the two other gentlemen who was working with him, he was very hands-on also. He was not just the supervisor. He jumped in all the time, to keep he process working. I asked if I should remove the clothes from the drawers and he told me it was up to me; they could either wrap the dresser or they could remove the drawers and take it out that way; whichever way I felt more comfortable doing. (this is weird, but I have never had movers that made sure they wiped their feet entering the home each and every time coming through.) I hope I never have to move again, I am 61, but if I did I would definitely use nobody but them. They also came with their cargo insurance and provided my condo association with a copy also. I could go on and on, with the many things, that I remember that were out of the ordinary for a moving company, especially the price, which was $95.00 an hour, minimum three hours."
