Philadelphia Mold Remediators Reviews

"I am purchasing an house in Center City Philadelphia and from the start I knew that it is a gut and rehab job. With that in mind I reached several Home Inspectors to verify the house with focus on my areas of concern (that the house has good bones and I would not be 1. endangering my family or 2. getting into a money pit.
While most inspectors were adamant on doing a complete inspection (including multiple items that I'm completely replacing),
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
was very open to discuss and be flexible to the specific needs. He was also very accommodating and fast to schedule the inspection on the following day to make sure he would be able to inspect the roof before expected weekend snow, and arranging the termite inspection at the same time so I could accompany both and learn through the process.
He was very thorough in his inspection and verified all items, and even inspected some that were not in the original scope.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
has a great client serving approach and really seems to want to do what is right for the specific situation and I will definitively work with him again in future purchases (A+).

"I got more than one quotes and had called many companies. They are the one that is very honest and professional. Arrived on time, good on communication. I recommend them without reservation
"I am a repeat customer of MSI. I have come to know what to expect from Mr.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
and his company. When an emergency occurs in a person's home, you do not want to hear about someone else's problems when you are calling for help. When I call Mr.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
, he responds calmly and makes me feel like my problem is his highest priority. This immediately calms me and makes me feel like things are under control. Based upon my experience with the company, they are. Mr.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
personally arrives the same day I call every time and personally inspects the premises to rough out what he needs to do. He explains clearly and concisely what the possibilities are and what his plan is to solve the problem, about its work with the least amount of intrusiveness possible. When his crew arrives on the scene, they are professionally attired, clean, and courteous. The have clearly been briefed on what to do and waste no time setting about their work. They always arrive with everything they need to do the job. The crew goes about its work with the least amount of intrusiveness possible. They carefully perform their work keeping demolition to a minimum and making sure not to cause any unnecessary damage. The crew communicates as is necessary but you do not hear unnecessary chatter or kidding around. These guys are serious about their work. They have a "get it done" mentality. At the end of the work day, the area where work has been performed is sealed off and, in my case, drying equipment was brought in to work through the night and the next day. When drying was completed, the equipment was carefully removed from the home. No incidental damage was caused by MSI. At the end of the job, Mr.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
provided the documentation required by my insurance company to quickly resolve the claim. There were no questions about the reasonableness of the charges or the necessity of his work. When you have a problem in your home, you do not want or need additional problems caused by the repairs needed to correct the damage. When I give the job to MSI and Mr.
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
, I know that my problems are well on the way to disappearing. Recommended without reservation. As good as it gets.
"It went wonderful, because when they first arrived my home was a total disaster. Not only did
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
arrive in a timely manner, they were polite and gave me a good rate for the amount of work required. I was impressed with their knowledge of mold remediation and prompt service, as well as various other procedures. When they left my home it was mold and mildew free, which I can say has helped improve my asthma, and the overall health of my family.
"sump pump was installe and 2 walls were parged. Work was done in a professional manner. Drop cloth was used to help keep my home clean. this step was greatly appreciated. Work was done neatly.
"This was the third time we used the services of
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
and Inspections. A newly purchased washer leaked and a musty smell developed in the basement. It was a holiday weekend and I left a message on Friday evening expecting a return call after the weekend was over. Within ten minutes I got a call .from
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
, the owner of the company who told me he would come over the following morning just in case some emergency repairs were needed. He took a look at the situation and made some emergency repairs. He was back with his crew on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday), and definitively repaired the problem. He took photos and prepared a report and a bill. The bill was submitted to the installers insurance carrier. An adjuster was sent out by the insurance carrier who felt the bill was fair and reasonable in all respects and agreed to pay it. I would recommend the work of
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
and Inspections to anyone who needs this type of service.
"I was very impressed by the service. The two individuals who came to do the service did an incredible job: and one of these individuals told me that it was one of the more challenging jobs he had because there were so many crevices / things that he had to maneuver around in order to complete the wire brushing. One of the reasons that I would recommend them is that, after having completing the work, I called them about a leak in a pipe in the basement around where the workers had been working. I think that most providers would have simply said, 'oh, that wasn't caused by us...', Basements R Us came out without question, replaced that part of the pipe, and did so without charge. So, I am very happy customer and would recommend them to someone looking for these services.
"We chose MSI after reading great reviews on Angie's list. We were not disappointed. We contacted MSI on a Tuesday, got a full estimate on Wednesday and had the problem solved by Thursday.

spent over an hour with me at the estimate and explained what he found and what the work would entail.

I used this company because my family had used them in the past with good results. The office staff was very accommodating from start to finish. They do a good job of collecting and giving information. The consultant came out after we worked out a schedule date that worked for everyone. He was on time, very professional, polite and thorough. He started by going over a packet of what he describe as “useful information” which he said was ours. He took the time to explain to my husband and myself as well as my realtor and the sellers’ realtor what he would be doing. The office had already done that, but we appreciated it anyway and so did my realtor. He took a long time looking at the house. He had a lot of equipment and what turned out to be a lot of experience in performing this kind of work.

and my husband
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
really hit it off from the moment he found out my husband was also a contractor. Of course, all the boy toys didn’t do anything to dampen their almost instant bond. He pinpointed a number of issues, some of which our home inspector had showed us and many, many more that we were not made aware of. He found mold under the drop ceiling in the living area of the basement and an area that was wet, but invisible to the naked eye. The camera he had used was amazing – like ghost buster’s stuff. The owners of the house were brought down at that point and he explained that there was a leak coming from outside and some mold had developed. He also showed them the mold on a number of antiques they had in the dining room. He said that some of the issues weren’t serious and explained that the homeowner could address it themselves or bring in a mold guy and he explained what needed to be done (hot water and soap and some coating designed for mold). He assured my husband and I that it was so minor and the other concerns he had were more important. He found mold on the sheathing in the attic that was not easy to spot until he pointed it out, another thing our home inspector missed. He explained the principles of ventilation and why this had occurred and how to correct it. My husband got it, I got most of it. He raised issues about the stucco outside. He said although this was not a stucco inspection, but rather an inspection for mold that the windows and the stucco had a direct impact on indoor air quality. Boy, do I wish I had listened to him. My husband was concerned by what
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
was saying, but I LOVED this house and wanted it. In my mind it was perfect. We purchased the house and moved in and thought all was well until the spring when we had heavy rains and we found a little bit of water on two window sills. Long story short, we called

and after much anguishing over the price of a stucco inspection we bit the bullet and had it done by their building company.
"I found a mold remediation specialist thru Service Magic. I was looking to buy a house. He was the first person to contact me. I didn’t get that house so he didn’t do work for me at that time. However, I kept in touch with him for any mold questions I had. I contacted him in

2011 before moving in in
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked

I initially signed a “Basement Seal Report” – not a contract, but an estimate that was just a generic receipt he writes information into. Nothing with his name or contact information on. I didn’t actually get a contract. After talking to other mold specialists I found I was supposed to get an actual contract for this kind of work.

Finally, I gave him my keys & he came out to spray for the first time. You’re supposed to hang a zipper-tarp to protect the rest of the home from the mold during this kind of work. He used blue painters tape to seal the door & that was it. When I asked questions about this he made it seem like I was paranoid & danced around the subject without giving me an answer.

He came to do the treatment in the basement as well. He told me my water heater was leaking – after the treatment. So, he did the treatment even though he knew the mold was going to come back without giving me the option to reschedule so I could get the heater fixed before the treatment. After I questioned this, he offered to re-treat for free. He’s also using the hot water heater to this day as an excuse as to why the mold is still there.

I’d also told him at the beginning of service that I needed notice to get to the home before he showed up – that I needed an hour to get there. However, he would call or text saying that he came by but I wouldn’t answer the door. I would not get the notice I asked for. I eventually asked people to keep an eye on the house – Turns out he likely never actually showed up when he said this. He’d call saying he was at my house & that I wasn’t letting him in. I’d ask a neighbor if anyone came by the house & they’d say they hadn’t seen anybody all day. There were also at least 3 times that he was supposed to meet me at the house & he wouldn’t show up. I would wait all day, having had to move my animals because they couldn’t be around during the treatment. He’d alternately tell me he’d come back & fix it, then blame me for not being home or tell me that I was being paranoid when I questioned whether or not the mold was gone on one hand & then tell me that he used more than enough chemicals because this is one of the worst houses he’d seen on the other. It felt like excuses after excuses.

Then came more excuses about not being able to remove mold-covered mold. The drywall was covered in mold – I wanted it removed & replaced. He was supposed to remove it & rebuild the room. When I came over, the room was still covered in the moldy drywall. He insisted he couldn’t remove the drywall because it was glued to the outside wall. At this point I’d had more than enough excuses & argued with him about the fact that he’d agreed to do all this including putting up mold-resistant drywall. I told him if he didn’t complete the work as agreed I’d report him & call the news – Strangely enough, he was able to remove the drywall after all after this. He took down the drywall & put it in biohazard bags which he threw in my backyard. The bags are still in my backyard – 7 months later. He would tell me there were leaks coming from the roof causing the mold to come back. Over the past few months, the drywall hasn’t been replaced – and there has been no evidence of leaks at all. Every time it rains I check – I’ve seen no moisture. He also told me I need to do a heavy steam clean of all the carpet to get the dead mold & chemicals out. When I spoke to other specialists I found that in fact this was the worst thing that could be done. There were supposed to be air scrubbers & vortex fans used during the treatment to make sure everything dried out properly or else the mold would return. If I was going to steam clean I needed industrial fans in place at the time – He said the heat from the steam cleaner would

the mold & take care of everything alone.

He took my money & didn’t do what he was supposed to do. I had to put down both of my cats – both within 3 weeks of each other – because they got sick because the remediation wasn’t done correctly. I would ask him about it – telling him I didn’t want to get sick & that my animals were looking bad & he’d treat me as if I was paranoid & assure me that everything was fine. I asked to speak with one of the mold specialists & mold testers he advertised on his website as well. He blew me off & acted like I didn’t even ask. He responded to other texts & questions – but not that one. He’d always say he’d come back out but then not show & give me more excuses. I finally told him that because of his lack of responsiveness I would have to escalate the situation – He didn’t finish the job & he didn’t remove the bags. He didn’t respond all day until texting later saying that he couldn’t get to the bags because the
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
was locked. He was responding to only one part of the problem & it was just more excuses anyway.

He’s not once offered to give me my money back. I told him I wanted him to pay for an independent mold
Philadelphia Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
to make sure the house was safe. He ignored that. He assured me that he’d take care of it & that he didn’t want anyone hurt – But he’s not here, the job’s not done & my cats are dead. I kept telling him that once my lease was up at the end of January that I would have to move into the house so the treatment had to be done. There were other offers he made – things he said he’d do to show me that he’s there to help me – that always fell through.
