Remodeling Reviews in Philadelphia

We were interested in doing a full kitchen remodel last year and wound up going with
after reading reviews on Angies List and meeting with them at their showroom. Our remodel was extremely complicated and involved knocking down walls, rerouting plumbing, gas, and electrical, taking out doors and windows, along with all of the other work that goes along with a kitchen remodel. The team of
, Faruk, and
were extremely helpful and responsive as we went through this stressful process of tearing apart our entire first floor living area and building it back up. Our contractor Faruk, was on the job everyday during the 8 weeks that this job took. The main designer,
would visit at least a few times a week and even met with us on many evenings and weekends during the process. With a job this size there are going to be unexpected issues that come up that need to be worked through and each time this happened there was never any additional charges. The price that they quoted us before we signed the contract never changed, just as they guarantee. When the job was finished we had a beautiful new kitchen, new hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor, a deck off of our dining area, and a much more open space that makes our house feel alot larger. The work was guaranteed for 2 years and 2 times so far I had to call them back for a minor issue and they happily sent someone out to take care of the problem. Overall this was a very good experience and everyone who comes to our home is amazed at how beautiful our remodel turned out.

First off, our bathroom looks awesome. When we contacted
, Cheyanne, the designer came out right away to look at the awful bathroom we had in our master suite. She was on time, and super friendly. She took measurements and chatted with us about what we wanted. We decided to start looking at Houzz to get ideas for our new design.
The design process was good. Cheyanne was really creative at helping us to acheive the look we wanted while also being cost-conscious. She ordered great materials and was really good helping us fill in the blanks where we weren't sure what to choose in order to complete the look we were going for.
Once we got all of the materials ordered and decided on, we scheduled to start the first week of January. Construction was quick when the crew was at our house. There were some periods where nobody showed up--granted, there was some snow to deal with and on some days where nobody would make it, they would let us know. But there were some days where nobody came and we didn't know what the status was. Not really a big deal in the long run because the crews were really nice, attentive to additional things we needed help with during the course of the project, and we felt comfortable with them in our home. Those are so much more important than a few random no-show days.
, the man in charge, was really accomodating and addressed any concerns we had pretty quickly. As did Cheyanne.
The project took longer than expected, but as I mentioned earlier we had quite a bit of snow, and our vanity was held up with the shipper, which was irritating but not
's fault as they ordered the piece with more than ample lead time. In the end, the piece is beautiful. The bathroom is beautiful. We are very happy with the quality of the work. We would definitely use them in the future because quality is paramount.

The quote and project overview meetings went well and were flexible to my schedule. We wanted to move fast to get the house to

as soon as possible, and they were prepared for that. The quoted price was fair and ultimately reflected the work that was done.
The painters did a great job. All of the detail and lines were clean. All previous "murals" (my work) were completely covered. On top of that, they worked fast: all of this in a standard South Philly rowhome within a week's time.
The other repairs were done to my satisfaction as well. I was specifically impressed with the person brought in for the tub glazing. A previous contractor had their painters just use some aerosol spray-on material to repair and recoat. I didn't know any better at the time, but soon that coat came up in patches and clogged the drain on several occasions. The subcontracted guy for this job had an entire compressor and blower system for stripping away the old and applying a new coat. This will definitely allow the new owners to continue using the cast iron tub for several more years.

was the project manager and was always communicative of the schedule and would check in regularly to ensure I was happy with the work as it progressed.

will definitely be on the top of my list as I look for bids on potential renovations of our next house in the coming months.

Everything went great - as expected. From the very first meeting with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(for our estimate) to the completion of the bathroom - everything ran smoothly. The project designer was very pleasant and on-target in helping us with our choices of tile, vanity, fixtures, tub, colors etc. The carpenters that came into our home were very punctual and kept everything so unbelievably neat and clean thru the transformation. I especially liked that each day, the project manager came out to inspect the work and be sure that everything was running smoothly and that we were pleased with everything. The entire bathroom was completed one day before expected final date! We could not be happier!

Asked me what and how I wanted my kitchen to look. Personnel was on time, kind, and precise. Went right to work taking measurements and including me in every part of the developments. The 3 D rendering that was done was right on the money. It was exactly how I what my kitchen to be remodeled. Said I would receive the drawing in a email in 2 weeks. I did in fact receive with a few days to spare.

They arrived on time and assessed the work that needed to be done. They were very pleasant and professional. One of gentlemen told me about the caulking of the bathtub and he checked to make sure I had bath and kitchen caulking. The other gentlemen checked the ceramic floor tiles and explained what he was going to do. I wanted to place a threshold, but I brought wrong type. They tried to explain to me what type of threshold I needed, but I am going have to get someone to go with me. It took them around hour and half to complete the job and everything looks great. I am very pleased with their work.

came by to discuss the work we wanted to do. He was the only contractor that I felt actually listened to what we wanted and gave great suggestions on how to make it better. His suggestions actually saved us money. He could have pretty easily convinced us to do a lot more work in our kitchen but instead told us what would actually be best/most practical. The ceiling he put in is the nicest one in our house! He stuck exactly to the price he quoted us and even made us a support to use so we could hang out cabinets back up. He didn't have a problem with us wanting to paint the new drywall ourselves, but wanted to prime it to make sure nothing needed to me touched up with the spackling. He was also the only contractor who have us prices for the different sections of jobs we wanted done i.e. fix the support and drywall the ceiling and then fix the and drywall the corner of the room. Other contractors were asked to but chose to lump everything together(one of the many reasons they were not hired). We had actually given up on the idea of getting work done for awhile when we met came across

. I know we'll be hiring him again when we find more projects in our new old home.

It was ok.

was on time and measured everything for the quote. He asked good questions. I felt like I was getting a sales pitch the whole time though. I'm not sure he's in the contracting business for building more for being awesome at marketing? In the end we received a quote and it was way above our budget so we went with another design/build company. Even with the fixtures/finishing materials not included in the price total, it was more than the quotes we received from other companies so we decided to pass.

The meeting with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
went well. He was professional and thorough listening to our plans to remodel two bathrooms in our home. BUT
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
told us he would send us a quote and we never got one! We also received no explanation as to why we never got one. I never thought I would be giving this guy an F.
When he left our home after meeting us, he told us to expect a quote the following week. I emailed his secretary on 4/25 to follow up since we received nothing. She said he was working out of state and that we should receive something within the next couple of days. I didn't receive anything and followed up again on May 7th and received no response. I don't expect to get one anymore. Disappointing.

handled all of the communication with the roofing subcontractor, which allowed for peace of mind, knowing that he would be thorough, accountable, and honest. The roofer ripped the old asphalt roofing down to the plywood and then replaced it with a silver granulated torched-down rubber, finished with aluminum metal edging.

has also helped me with a handful of other smaller projects and is always priced competitively and does great work. Whether he did the work himself or used subcontractors, the jobs were always done on time and within budget.
