Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Reviews

A
"We are thrilled with the results and could not have imagined a better remodelling experience. From the very first meeting with Cheyanne, to the review of the design with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, the "shopping" for everything with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, and the actual work by
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and the team -- total perfection! We really appreciated the creative ideas for the design in our relatively small spaces. It was wonderful to view the photos of other jobs but we didn't feel that we were getting a "cookie cutter" design at all. Each project was approached so thoughfully with the character of the house in mind. We felt like true partners too. Great suggestions from
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and the team, but no pressure (unlike a previous experience with another contractor we considered before we found
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
! ) We were consulted at every step of the way when needed to ensure that we were happy. And, we were! We are!
Both rooms were completely stripped down to bare walls and floors and built from the ground up. The powder room was perhaps 70 years old, functioning fine, but really outdated. The 2nd floor bath was re-done 24 years ago with our then 8 year daughter in mind. Definitely needed an update! The tub was replaced by a lovely large shower with marble seat and niche. Black & white replaced the pink and purple tiles and walls. The heated floor is a delight....our cats seem to love it as much as we do!
Professional: absolutely! Great customer service: absolutely! Clean and courteous: absolutely! Was anything ever viewed

"Although I did not hire
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, I was very impressed with his professionalism, responsiveness and courtesy. He contacted me promptly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He also answered many questions I had after our initial meeting. In the end, I decided to hire another contractor that had recently done remodeling for two of my friends. They highly recommended this contractor, so I decided to go with someone who had done work for people I know. Although I cannot comment on
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's quality of work, I have no doubt that he would have done an excellent job.

"The owner
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Hammer was very responsive and punctual and did good work however I can not give him a good review because he did not fulfill my initial reason for contacting him. I had some major renovations done on my house in prepration for putting it on the
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. There was never a final electric inspection performed and certification sticker on the circuit breaker.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was very accommodating to my schedule and showed up on time for our meetings. He informed me that in order to certify the electric work he was going to have to do some additional work for it to be up to code. The list of work is from his proposal. I agreed to the work and was told that I would receive the certification after his inspector checked it all out one week later. The inspector had to change the date and I went out of town in the interim so I gave
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
the lock box code to enter. When I returned a week late, I didn't see evidence of an inspection being done. I was expecting a sticker on the circuit box.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
said it had been done but that he'd have to label the box with another guy first and then the certificate would come to me in the mail. A week later I still had not received the certifcate in the mail, to which
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
said the inspection agency was working on it and would put it in the mail . Another week went by still no certificate. A potential buyer had a home inspection performed and discovered the dishwasher didn't work. I asked
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
about it and he immediately came over to trouble shoot it. He discovered the dish washer was never wired! I'll be leaving that review for another contractor. I told
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
that I'd call that contractor about doing the work
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
I already paid him for it, but
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
said since he had already performed a final inspection he had to do the work. The job needed to get done since I had a buyer and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was kind enough to take on the job right away and rewired the dishwasher, running a new line to the breaker in the basement for $785. He also mentioned that the inspector would have to come back and reinspect the job. IT goes on and on...Another week goes by , he said he'd email it another week that it takes 30 days but that it was definitely coming. I happened to be at the house one day a few weeks after I stopped asking
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for the cert and L&I showed up to do the final building inspection. They asked about the circuit box and where the inspection was. I told them the whole story and L&I was kind enough to call
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and somehow finished up with him I'm sure he is very busy and he is good at what he does but I have a feeling that being a woman was a disadvantage when dealing with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and that he would just tell me whatever he thought I wanted to hear but not the truth.

Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
held my hand through the entire process from start to finish. I was excited to work with two women that understood design, but also had the resources to fully handle the construction. I was pleasantly surprised too when both the women showed up during construction and got a bit dusty as they checked up on the work. The installers were reliable and true artisans. They were meticulous, very detail orientated and extremely pleasant. I would certainly recommend them.

"I first reached out to
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and Bath in early September of last year.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was 1 of 4 different remodeling companies that my husband and I had contacted. From our first initial phone conversation with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(one of the owners), I honestly felt a connection different from that in which I had with all of our other experiences and meetings with all of the other remodeling companies.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
came across as very sincere, and very
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to offer opinions and suggestions. She spoke to me in an enthused manner, I could tell that she truly passionate about her designs. After about 15 minutes into our initial conversation I honestly felt that this could very well be the company for us. We proceeded into the process and scheduled a sit down with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(lead designer) at there showroom.
Prior to our meeting,
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
instructed us to take pictures of our kitchen and adjoined rooms in order for her to be to able to have a better understanding of our space. I had explained to
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
that one of biggest issues with our kitchen was that it was rather small and that previous contractors had told us that there was not much that we could do about it do to our walls being "load bearing walls". She told me not to worry and that there are always options(we loved this about her). During our initial consultation
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was just as pleasant and enthused as before, and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was wonderful as well. They were really great at asking the right questions in order to gain an understanding of what our needs were.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
were both full of ideas. At the end of the consultation
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and I decided to pay the design fee in order for
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to start putting together a design and estimate. We left very excited. The following week
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(Project Manager) showed up to our home to take measurements of our home.
About a week later we were called back to the showroom in order to look over and give the approval for the design that
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
had put together. We were extremely pleased. Not only did the design include our requested island, and bay window, but the once restricting "load bearing walls" were gone. It was explained to us by
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(Project Manager) that while the walls were load bearing, they could be removed relatively easily and that as long as they were re-supported the structure of our home would be fine. Needless to say we were very excited to hear that and we approved our design. The following weekend we returned to the showroom in order to go over the proposal. At this meeting
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
explained the entire construction process, as well as our construction cost. We felt that the construction proposal was very thorough, and the design was spectacular. But
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and I needed a few days to think things through and a little time to digest the numbers. We really appreciated
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and her team not being pushy and allowing us our needed time. In the days following
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and I decided that we would like to proceed and I was very excited to call
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and let her know that we decided to do the kitchen. After the signing
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and her team didn't skip a beat. 4 days after signing we were called in for our first material selection. And just as before
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
were enthused and full of ideas. They really allowed us to go through a wide array of products and our related questions to those products. They were really great in helping
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and I through our indecisiveness(self admitted). 2 more design selection meetings followed and we pushed toward our construction start date (10/21/13). During this time
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's construction team helped
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
my anxiety by keeping me in the loop.
On the morning of the 21st the construction team showed up on time, and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
took the time to go over our construction schedule once more. They protected entire kitchen and surrounding work area, and after that the demolition and construction process ensued. One word to describe
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his guys is Professional. There is no way to make a process in which my husband, children, and I go 6 weeks without a kitchen painless. We understood tha inconveniences come with the territory of remodeling. But I will say they truly made the process as painless as possible. The guys were regularly on time and you could always tell that they were very diligent in the maintaining of there schedule. Everyone who entered our home was always very respectful and pleasant. The one thing we loved and appreciated more than anything else(especially
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
) was that we didn't find ourselves in a need to micro manage our construction. We always felt that the
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
& Bath team had everything under control.
The end result is a beautiful kitchen. We recently hosted our families Christmas Eve dinner. And I sincerely enjoyed being ability to cater to our large family and the use of our kitchen as the center ground for the event. Everything about our kitchen is wonderful, and it is definitely everyone's new favorite room in the house. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to go with
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
& Bath.
Thank you to
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and the entire

"TIMING: Contract dated 4/4/13, agreed to and deposit sent 4/29/13;
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Zaks on vacation until 5/11. Emailed
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for update on 5/18 then spoke with him on 5/28; his mother had passed away and he had another job to complete. My job start set for 6/11. I emailed
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to verify start date and was advised their current job was running long. Since I had to go out of town (travel dates agreed to by
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
in May),
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
would contact me upon my return. He did not do so, I emailed him on 6/22 and was advised problems persisted with their current job and there was a death in the family of his partner, so my job start was moved to 7/15/13. I emailed to verify start date and was told still more problems, my job would start on 7/22. I know "stuff" happens but it was 6 weeks from the original start date to their first day at the house. On that day
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
worked for two hours on demolition; for the remainder of the week they were at the house a total of 10 hours. The job was completed 8/9/13. After door installation (different contractor) & painting, I took my first shower 8/18 and the shower leaked into the middle of my living room floor ! Contacted
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
immediately but they were going on vacation for the week. They returned to my house on 8/26, when we were unable to find the leak. I had noticed that there were voids in the grout where the shower wall met the floor and other places and pointed them out to
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
but was assured that due to the underlying drainage system this was not the cause. I covered these gaps with blue tape and the leaks stopped. I showered and splashed for another week and then I contacted
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and they came and caulked the areas. First shower with no leaks on 9/25/13. PRICE: The price for the main job was fair - $5,100; I paid for all fixtures, tile, grout, and setting adhesive. During construction they discovered that the pipe connecting the shower drain to the waste stack was loose and they would have to damage the floor tile to fix it. The price to remove and replace all the floor tile and install a new toilet was $1,400. I asked what the 'WORST CASE, IF EVERYTHING WENT WRONG" price would be and was quoted no
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
$2,000 ( a large amount for me to come up with).
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
charged me $2000 citing additional materials. Since I paid for the tile, grout, setting adhesive I asked him twice for a breakdown of the extra cost and he refused. I know I should have been more forceful but when there are only holes where the shower, toilet, and sink should be and the bathroom floor is the plywood sub-floor - it is very difficult ! OTHER: I have since discovered two more problems. The pipe and cut-off valve for the water faucet on the roofdeck has been removed. I didn't mention this extra cutoff under the sink beforehand because it was a separate pipe - and
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
never asked about it, they just removed it. Also, they did not install any access to the shower plumbing - if there is a leak, the only way I can turn the water off is to close the main cut-off to the house or rip out the tile. The shower is nice but not worth the inconvenience to my work and personal lives. If I knew what the entire project would be like, I would NOT do it for half the price.

"Thanks
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
&
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for transforming my bathroom into a spa oasis!!! My husband and I love our bathroom and can't thank you enough. I'am so glad you convinced me to do his and her vanities, love having my own space. We really like having the rain shower in the ceiling along with the second wall shower head with massage spray. Everyone who has seen my bathroom said it looks like a high end spa. The heated floor is amazing, love to walk in to the bathroom feels so good on my feet.

"The process was very straight-forward.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
gave me a design on paper so I could see how my deck would look.
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
went over the construction side. I had a ton of questions about opening up my kitchen walls, city permits, and safety. City buildings fall down all the time, so I wanted to make sure they knew what they were doing. Thank God they did!
Another issue was cost. I didn't want to get one price today, have them open my walls, and then get more bills tomorrow. They gave me an estimate for the entire job, for both the decking materials plus the labor. The price they gave me on day 1, was the price I ending up paying. I appreciated the fact that they were upfront with the cost. I paid
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for the entire deck. They handled everything from start to finish.
It was really important to me that everything went smoothly. I didn't have access to my kitchen while they were working, which was a bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be. But
Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
keep me updated on the process. They finished everything on time and the communication was excellent.
After the deck was done, they followed up with me to make sure that everything was okay. I have not had any issues at all. I was worried about the winter draft coming thru the deck's screen door seams, but no air gets through. They sealed it up tight. The cold air stays out and the warm air stays in.
I love my deck. It definitely took my family barbecues to the next level. I can't wait to grill season comes back around. Thank you

Philadelphia Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
has a great eye and really good ideas. He helped us figure out how to make the most of our limited budget. Got us to think about how we use the space and maximize it. He helped us source appliances that were the best value.
He noticed things that needed to be addressed and discussed the pros and cons of addressing them. We didn't even realize our heating vent was blocked--we just thought the room was cold because it got no direct sunlight during the day.
