"Got a thorough check-up including a check for PVA and stroke. Got a non-invasive heart scan (

attenuation so that larger folks don't need to get a repeat test if their extra body fat attenuates the image). Also got labs done. Felt much better knowing that a heart attack wasn't right around the corner. Also, got some counseling about nutrition and exercise. More fiber, more veggies, more water. Less sitting around, less coffee, less meat and processed food."

"He is my family primary care physician. What I really like about him is he takes the time to listen to you. He is a very good doctor. I have recommended my family to him. I feel very comfortable with him. I absolutely will not change."

"She is wonderful. She takes the time to share my issues with me. She is very compassionate and caring. I never get the feeling that she is rushing me or that she doesn’t have time for me. When I am in any kind of medical or mental state that type of person becomes very important to my health care. A lot of time when I go there, I feel awful either physical or mental and we have our little talk. She has a wonderful rapport with my daughter. My daughter can call her and she takes the time to give her information about me. Her bedside manner is fantastic. She is always available and if she is not, she makes sure that I am aware of it. One of her people will call me and tell me and she will schedule me before she goes on vacation. They just moved and it is off the street which makes it much easier. The staff is wonderful. Between my insurances I never get a bill from them."

"Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
is the most caring, compassionate and thorough doctor I have ever met. The only reason I did not give him an A for punctuality
is because Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
never turns down a patient, if it is necessary that he or she should be seen. He always tells you to bring a book, just in case. Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
's patients never mind waiting because, as he says, he always gives you your moneys worth.

It is not unusual for Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
to be in the office from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM, and then he goes to the hospital to visit patients. It is also not unusual for his patients to get a call on Saturday night or Sunday morning, just checking in to see how you're doing or to give you test results.

As unbelievable as it sounds, most of his patients have his cell number...Who does that??

Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
is an Insurance companys nightmare because he WILL find out what is wrong with you, no matter how many tests it take to do it. My husband and I can attest to this: My husband has a terminal disease, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and I have ALS. Dr.

has been keeping us alive for many years and I know the will continue to keep us alive in the future.

"She is at the

Hospital. I see her every 6 months, and I have to see her in May. My experience with her has been fine, but the office is terrible. I have never experienced her in a hospital so I cannot comment on the bedside manner, but in the office she is fine. The communication with her was fine."

"He is thorough. His bedside manner is excellent. I will give him an A across the board. I have been going to him for years. I always liked the care he has given my husband and me. He gave good recommendations about the other doctors when I needed."

" I go to this office to see Dr. Bix. She is always punctual with appointment times. She will sit and speak to me first to see what my medical concerns are. She has a very good bedside manner. She always has someone call within normally 2 days of any time my husband and I have blood work done. She was very honest with me when I was last there for a problem I was having with my skin. She told me right away she had no Idea what was happening. Dr. Bix got me an appointment with another doctor within 2 days. She also was calling me every day to see what was going on with my skin. She was very concerned about my well being."
A
"Every time I see her, I am impressed by her genuine caring manner and by the time she takes to listen to and talk with her patients. She is detailed and thorough, and she has never made me feel rushed. In my last visit, I particularly appreciated her listening to me tell the story of my miscarriage and emergency trip to the ER, which was helpful in diagnosing my recurrent problem of low blood pressure."

"He is absolutely wonderful. I went to him for 23 years and then I moved to New
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
and I couldn’t find someone here so I am moving back to him. I hurt my back and it was too hard to go over to Philadelphia anymore so I started looking for one here. He is very caring and he has wonderful bedside manner. He is thorough. He seems to know a lot and he knows when to send you to a specialist. He just makes you feel very comfortable. One of the doctors I was seeing was having a bad patch because his wife had cancer and yelled at me and that is not how doctors treat patients. I have never gone back. When you go to Dr Shpigel you would never know that is 21 year old daughter was not well and passed away unless you know it. If you need him for anything you can call him and leave a message on the answering machine and he would always get back to you. There was only twice I was not able to get in right away and it was an emergency so they gave me somebody else. The office environment is very good. The punctuality depends on how many patients he’s got. His bedside manner is very nice. Their billing is pretty good and there was only once I had an issue which they corrected."

"Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
has been our family physician for more than twenty years. He is pleasant, unhurried, thoughtful, and very smart. He has successfully treated me for a number of conditions, most notably a scary case of anemia, where he referred me to a specialist and worked with him to track down the source of internal bleeding. I recommend Dr.
Philadelphia Internists Provider Name Locked
most highly. His assistant is also very capable.
