"Experiencing drafty 2nd floor bedrooms (especially closets) and basement. Contacted another company that insulated through the roof but didn't want the roof touched, plus I was given an estimate without anyone coming to my home.
Contacted TR, came to my home right on time, measured and he told me would contact me. I received an estimate and proposal of $950.00.. I made an appointment to have the work done.
and another worker came out right on time, assessed the situation and began working. When it came time to start work in the basement, had something that looked like a caulking gun. I questioned him and explained that that was not what I agreed on. called his boss, (the owner) and he left a message. I was told by and that the insulation I was referring to was very expensive and not what was quoted in the proposal. In the meantime, prepared to perform the insulation that I agreed on with . After approximately 15 minutes, said his boss would probably ask for $200.00. I told him to do it.
I paid in cash after the work was done including the additional $200.00. I was very pleased with the clean up and felt the overall experience was good. I have been enjoying a draft free 2nd floor and insulated basement walls. After a few days, I received detailed receipts for tax purposes and was happy to see that they used GREEN materials in their insulation. If it wasn't for the mix up in the price, I would have given them an Excellent rating for Overall Experience"

"Been married 30 years, and I think we both agree that an experience such as moving out of your house could be devastating and it could be even more so if you choose the wrong contractor. I didn't know 's company from . However, he was recommended to me by a larger contractor that uses on many jobs. He indicated that if he ever needed a job done, he would in fact use for several reasons. - Polite and honorable - you don't get much of that now adays. He will also tell you like it is, and let you decide if you want to fix it or not. - Fair Pricing - he is extremely fair in his pricing. The higher price above reflected me going over to the house daily and saying can you do this or can you do that over and above what we originally requested and that the insurance company allowed. So that was totally on me. That said, he didn't gouge me on any one project. - Hard Working - He has no more than 4 guys working on the job at any one time, but normally two. I will tell you that you would swear that those two guys are equal to a 12-man team. It was amazing what they were able to get done each and every day. And I would go over there every morning or at night home from work to see what they did and I was truly amazed. - Honest - Naturally, we left them the keys to the door and I literally trusted them completely. They are from Romania where their work ethic is second to none. - Professionalism and Perfectionism - What more can I say. He had his guys paint our guys about 7-8 times. Why ??? Our house is over 60 years and the walls are not exactly perfect. So depending on how the sun shines in the room, it may or may not show a slight imperfection on the walls. Both my wife told him that there was nothing he could do. So everytime we would come home, one day it was all painted, the next day it would be respackled in certain places. The ceiling alone he did maybe 5-6 times. We finally yelled at him, , you can't do anything more. Not your fault, move on. I had never met before this job and in the first 2-3 weeks, I did not take some of his suggestions as I did later on. It took only 2 or 3 experiences in dealing with other dealers, stores or contractors that I found that everything he was telling me was not only straight on, but done to help me. Whether I liked it or not. From that point forward, if he made a suggestion, I would do it because he did it to make the house better provided it stayed within my budget. I know this is a bit much in terms of explanation, but I wanted to explain to everyone that if you want someone that will work for you, that is too say provide you the best price, hardest work, most creative layout and design, than is the way to go. Both my wife and agree that is in the TOP 5 of decisions we have made in our marriage. We have also made many mistakes, but this one is definitely a . I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE JOB THEY DID. And he came in several weeks sooner than may neighbor counterparts who had the same level of work as I had."

"The work turned out great. They were very professional. It is warm outside so it is hard to tell but I don't have to turn on my space heater like I normally do. They completely cleaned up after themselves. I'm having them come back and work on my crawlspace next week."

" A problem arose when the old threshold was removed to show considerable rot at the underlying joist. This added another day to the installation as they had to repair the damage by cutting away the rot and inserting new wood. I agreed to pay the extra $100 to compensate for the extra work and hours. The new door is well made and has added value to my home. I'll use the entry door's Energy Star rating to obtain a tax credit.
These guys are skilled, personable, design savvy, and reliable. They installed my front entry door last year and I can't find any fault with their workmanship and customer treatment. They also seem to have good resources for quality doors in many styles. "

"My insurance company paid the bill, I have no idea if it was reasonable or not. However these guys showed up when they said they would, work was completed in an appropriate time frame, they worked with another contractor as I decided to change the fireplace over to gas on my own. Extremely professional, and quality work done!"

"From the estimate to cleanup, exhibited the highest level of professionalism. 's proposal made the most sense of all the estimates I received, and the difference in temperature inside the home is dramatic. I appreciate that my kitchen no longer has a cross-wind when the windows are closed!"

" Builder transformed an old shell property to a beautiful house. ?They are responsible, punctual, trust worthy, full of creative ideas, and do excellent job on schedule. ?They always responded quickly and professionally to all of our requests and questions. and are great to deal with. ?They are honest and straight forward. ?Since this was such a big job, by the end of the project, we felt like at the very least like friends! ? saved us a lot of money too. ?He is willing to upgrade with the materials that he bought at discount and pass the savings on to his clients. We were able to upgrade some doors, a window and also our shower stall floor with river rock stone that looked gorgeous!? The house looked so attractive that we were able to sell the place in less than 3 months in this , and that says it all!! "

" was referred to me by another contractor and the overall experience was great. The job was completed within the promised time frame and for the amount quoted. The crew was friendly, polite and professional; they arrived on-time and cleaned up the job site prior to leaving. "

"This was a flawless, excellent job from beginning to end! We have heard horror stories from many people about having new kitchens done. made this painless! The work was beautiful. Any issues, and these were tiny things that are typical for large projects... that arose, he addressed if we wanted things done differently. He followed a plan we had drawn elsewhere. The demolition was done in several hours and that first day, though understandably dusty (house is very very old!), the yard and work area was cleaned perfectly. In fact, the workmen cleaned daily. The dumpster was out in front for several weeks and then gone. was always ready for the next part of the project. Always prompt, courteous and guided us through the project with ease. The craftsmanship was top notch. And the entire galley kitchen, top to bottom, was done by in under 4 weeks. We could not be more pleased! Responsible, pleasant and overall excellent- we will have him do any rooms in our house!"

"The project went perfectly. I originally contracted to have the existing rubber roof removed and replaced with 30 year ridgeline shingles from GAF. The contract price was $3000. When the crew arrived and began pulling back the existing rubber roof, they discovered 4" of foam insulation, approximately R-30. They called me immediately to ask if I wanted this removed and to suggest that I keep it. Ed immediately came down to the house and he and I looked at the roof and decided to install a new rubber roof over the existing one, instead of removing the roof and insulation. After changing the scope of the work, Ed lowered the price to $2700."
