Philadelphia Hospitals Reviews

"There are a lot of doctor's who can take care of a lot of business. They are all attentive and helpful. They take their time. They are pretty available, considering they are specialists. I go there all the time and will continue to do so."

"We looked around and we decided we wanted to use

pregnancy. Everything with them has been going really well. It's extremely convenient for us because we can walk there. They have been very accommodating, and I have nothing but good things to say."

"Everything there was very well done. Very well organized and handled from my very first phone call. Pre op was very well done with wonderful professional people handling every step of it. It was very well organized. They day of the surgery the staff was very wonderful."

"Ended up receiving cardiac care for a

bladder. Over-tested even though we told them we were there for a surgical clearance. The nurses are scarce. They work hard (esp

, a Nursing administrator). Everyone on the third floor (335 area) treated the patient well but this is STRICTLY limited to nursing. Still, they are incredibly short staffed. Medical staff ranged from caring to complete idiots. With plenty of medical background, my family was forced to coordinate the care, since there was minimal communication between the members of the "F Team" (doctors or residents) and the attending. Nurses frequently not appraised of the day's care plan by the MDs. You have to scream to get the doctors' to communicate. Security team tries but, often, members were just chatting with their comrades and were not helpful. Not all, some were nice and helpful, some were just chatting it up with their girlfriends and ignored you. The key is: pay attention because the doctors do not. They seem to rely too much on consults and testing, and possess very poor basic assessment and communication skills. I honestly believe that this patient would have died at their hands had we not been right on top of them. One or two were helpful and well intentioned but just kept trying to dismiss the whole thing. Really bad overall. I hope I never end up here again and it s probably why so many citizens and police officers who get shot here in Philly end up dying at

. This facility has a lot of resources but does not possess basic human skills. The overall big need is to improve communication. We had to force them to learn this. The nurses are great. The doctors, not so much! Just be careful if your loved one ends up in here, we heard many such stories from other patients' family members in there.

"Their appointments ran on time. They have a friendly staff and knowledgeable doctors. Dr Stoopeler was good at answering questions and addressing my concerns."

"They are a superior hospital in every way. It is very clean and you receive excellent service. The nursing staff provides proper attention and the food is of very high quality. It is easy to get around due to the number of elevators and have a better cafeteria than most hospitals i have seen. They have several departments in house to handle most needs. Generally there is street parking but they have a garage and valet service that is very handy. The ER is excellent as well."
