"With services like dry cleaning its not one example but the ongoing consistency that matters most, fair prices, successful spot removal, attention to a garments special cleaning instructions, etc. If something isn't just right
"This shop is quick and has excellent customer service. Mr. (cheaper) cleaner right around the corner from my old apt, and they have never failed me or ruined anything, so I highly recommend them! (And I'm still bringing my clothes here though I've moved to the outskirts of the city.) They used to have an excellent tailor, but he left to run his own shop. I can't comment on their alterations."

Philadelphia Dry Cleaners Reviews
"Lived around the corner from this place until a few months ago -- they were my basic go-to cleaner, and I outlasted at least 3 proprietors. MO same for all: they're a decent cleaner, acceptable if you live in this neighborhood (i.e. west of Square area. The current owner speaks very little English, and can be rude. Fine for basic dry cleaning, but for stains, I would go elsewhere if you love it...product applied for stain removal to a sweater bleached the area. Also, I wouldn't recommend them for alterations (ability to operate a sewing machine does not a tailor make!)."
"Wanted to try this dry cleaner in University City since I work nearby. Guess it wasn't the best solution, it took me just over a month (32 days, specifically) to get back there. Owner wanted to charge me an extra fee for storage. I said, why not calling me a *expletive*. Yes, I'm serious!! I did not provoke this or yell back at her, but she got nastier and nastier..."
"This place is totally old school mom and pop. The proprietor than most because of the size of the curtains. I think shirts are just a few bucks and they have specials depending on when you drop things off etc."
"I took in a raincoat needing waterproofing, and Mr. return it more promptly with the understanding that we would need to air it out ourselves. We had him do the airing out; my raincoat is now very nicely restored to original condition without a smell. If he thinks the repair will cost more than the garment is worth, he tries to discourage having it done. How many dry cleaners interest themselves in details as a matter of routine? I take everything to them. They also have shoe and jewelry repair in the same shop, which I haven't tried yet."
"Very friendly place, with good systems to track customers. Relatively pricey but have not had problems with the quality of work. Everything is always ready when they say it will be."
"I went to this location because they advertised themselves as "environmental" cleaners. The people working there were surly, the prices were outrageous, and they damaged 2 of the 4 or 5 pieces of clothing I brought in. One, a cream-colored sweater without a stain came back with a stain. They agreed to reclean it, then it still had a stain and the fabric was damaged. They wouldn't refund my money and were very difficult about it, and said I had to come back when the owner was there (which was too inconvenient for me). They also crushed the buttons on a pair of pants."
"What a disaster. I've used these cleaners before and they've been fine but I never really needed them to keep to their deadline before. They told me my shirts would be ready on a Thursday after 3pm, I came by around 5pm and they weren't there;they swore they'd be there by Friday morning (I had an event to be at Friday night, and no other shirt to match my outfit). Friday morning I came by before work;no shirts. I left work early to come by again for my shirts and they still weren't done! I was so angry, I had to run home, whip together another outfit suitable for this work event. A friend of mine picked up my shirts Saturday afternoon. I didn't even want to go back for my clothes;I was so ticked. I had told them when I dropped my shirts off on Tuesday that I had an even Friday afternoon and HAD TO have them back by Thursday, and if they couldn't do it, that I'd just need to take this batch to someone else. I'll never go back there again."
"Vip cleaners is located in center city across from the quick and the items have always come back neatly pressed. The attention to details like catching potential stains even when I don't remember to point them out has been very good."
