"A very nice job.
I don't know how old my deck is -- possibly as old as 20 years -- but it looks great now.
The gave me an estimate with a couple of add-on options.
Did a little test area so I could decide on whether or not to do the brick walk-way.
(I decided not to since it washed away too much dirt between the bricks.)
No sales pressure.
They all their own equipement.
The only think they needed from me was water from my hose to re-fill their tank.
They moved and replaced all the deck furniture, potted plants, etc.
They were careful not to wash the pain off the house where the deck meets the wall.
I opted not to have them sand and stain the deck, but they offer that service as well.

"We're extremely happy with our new, larger back deck. 's estimate was within about $10 off the final price, based on an estimate of two days of labor for two workers if they didn't run into anything unexpected (three days if they ran into something unexpected), plus actual cost of materials (wood and paint). We had a small L-shaped back deck with railings that were rotting, and we wanted to replace the railings and enlarge the whole deck by squaring it off. had two people as part of his team who were experienced in deck work who did a great job. supervised and also did some of the finish painting. If you look at our new deck you'd never know that part of it is old and part new. They made one suggestion that we really loved. This resulted in their changing the style of the railing just slightly (rotating the 2x4s that top the railings 90 degrees) so that we can now place our coffee cups or wine glasses on the top of the new railings (the old ones were too narrow). They even managed to match the paint color perfectly. Now we use our deck so much more that we wish we'd done this sooner! We will definitely use again for other house projects in the future."

" 's work, service and professionalism was of a very high standard. He was able to visit our home within two days of us contacting him (we received a flyer and also read other reviews on line) and made sure he was clear on what we wanted. Originally we wanted to buy a new front door and have install it. When he heard our plans, he, very politely, questioned why we wanted a new door and we actually decided to keep the original door after all. saved us around $1000 and ended up with a much harder job for himself, which he joked about a few days later. He did a fabulous job on the door and we are thrilled we stuck with the original. During the job, had another workman come in to stain the deck. This ensured that the job was completed within the week he promised. The painting was completed in two days and done to a high standard. We were also able to save money on paint thanks to the discount receives."

"I read an excellent review of on Phillyblog and called . I recall there was a bit of a delay in him getting back to me, but now I know that it's because he's in serious demand due to his trustworthy nature and natural sense of responsibility. He's a stand-up guy. His guys were also nice and my dog liked them, so you can tell they're decent folks. :) Anyway, work quality was excellent - definitely above average. I finally understand the difference between a good paint job and the usual paint job. It does seem, however, that they have a lot of work and can't completely keep up with the communication end of things, since there are several bad reviews on here (entirely due to communication problems, but not due to work dissatisfaction). Excellent work. Prices were not particularly low; they were about in line with the other estimates I got. Totally worth it."

"Both Malveiro and came to my house and gave me an estimate which was about what I had anticipated for the job. They told me they could start the following Friday. On the Tuesday before that, called and said they could actually start the next day(!). They arrived exactly on time. They had to remove some very heavy planters from the deck, which they did without problem. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and the job that was to take 3 days took a little over a week, but called me each morning to give me the status of whether the wood was dry enough to work on. They did a really beautiful job of power-washing and weather-proofing the wood, and I have nothing but praise for the job they did."

"I had a wonderful experience with . All of my communications (phone and email) were with , who runs the company with great pride and professionalism. I live in Society Hill and have had numerous bad experiences with contractors, but restored my faith in humanity. The two guys who actually did the work were always on time; they were very polite; they respected my home (taking their shoes off, putting down drop cloths and paper to protect the floors, cleaning up afterwords). The scheduling was a bit touch-and-go. A couple times, called to reschedule at the last minute due to other jobs running late. But he promptly returned all my calls and emails, and the work was completed to my great satisfaction. I will definitely use them again."

"His estimate was slightly lower than the first one we received. The work was done reasonably promptly. was courteous and professional. All our contact was by phone. The quality of the work seems very satisfactory."

" was very quick about coming out for an estimate, arrived promptly. Brought with him lots of pictures to illustrate his services. Also came out promptly to do the power wash, and a few days later to stain the deck. He and his coworker moved everything out of the way and put it back, cleaned up afterwards. Minor complaints, said he would mail me a written estimate, which I did not receive before he came out to do the power wash (and 2 weeks later, still haven't, haven't got the bill yet either!). Didn't give me the date he was coming out to stain the deck and just showed up (if I'd left 5 minutes earlier that morning, I wouldn't even have known he did the job)!"

"From my initial contact with Ed O` , who looked over the job and provided a detailed written estimate that included all materials to be used, to the final installation of the new deck " ", and in particular Ed O` , was a pleasure to work with. All interaction with the company was very professional. Ed O` was particularly patient with questions regarding the work to be performed. Ed almost always answers his cell phone, and will call back immediately if you leave a message. The installers did an excellent job and were very good about cleaning up before leaving. After speaking with 10 or more roofing companies over many years, was the only one that had a solution for resurfacing the deck and they did an excellent job. Highly recommended!"
