Mr.
came when promised and repaired clock so the hands no longer "fall out" of time. Mr.
came from about 40 minutes away to our location for a very reasonable price. The repair did not take much time (apparently the hands are reversed from their normal orientation front to back) but he figured it out. We did not want to play with a clock that is from the 1790s.

I got my grandparent's old cuckoo clock from my sister-- it had been in an open box in an attic and was full of dust and just a mess.
They repaired the clock and it looks and works great-- really pleased with the repair!
There were two issues: it took a long time for the repair, and the owner was not customer focused.
The time wasn't really an issue for us since we were fine waiting, but it would have been nice to know how long it was going to take. they didn't give us a timeline, just said they would call when it was done, and it took about two months. So, if we were repairing a clock for a gift, then that would have been a real drag. When we picked up the clock, the owner was on the phone with another customer and badmouthed about them to us. I'm sure it's possible the other customer could have been a legitimate jerk, but it didn't seem very professional to express that to another customer. Also, we had asked him to add a missing
tack on the decorative piece on top of the clock. when my husband noticed it was missing and asked about it, he just handed my husband the tack to take home. We attached the tack later on no problem, but we're both pretty handy and another customer might have not been as comfortable with that. We just thought that was kind of rude for how long we had waited for the clock and because we had asked him to fix that part as part of the repair. Still, I'd much rather have a little gruffness and a great clock repair then be treated like a queen and have bad quality work. So, still confidently recommended.
