was fantastic! For busy parents, hiring a childproofing service is the best way to go! We are so happy with him and with the work he performed." Here's what we liked: Timeliness & efficiency of service: 1. In only an hour consultation,
provided great advice on where we needed babyproofing items and what products he would recommend. He didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary items - just stuck to what was truly needed. In a couple of instances, he advised against things we likely would have bought! 2. On the day of installation, it only took
6 hours to do the entire house. It would have taken me significantly more hours than that to pick the items, install the items, etc. 3. Scheduling both the consultation and the installation was quick and easy! Quality of materials: Everything that
recommended had the right balance of quality, good aesthetic and price value. Price: In comparing the cost of like materials in the open
to the total we paid for the service, we found that
only cost us $100-$200 more than if we had installed it ourselves and we saved sooo much time. And ensured we actually got it done before our little one was tumbling down stairs!!!

"We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal that included three hours of babyproofing (really "child-proofing" for us with our very mobile and curious two" and a half year old). We had done some stuff ourselves, but some of the bigger projects (securing a bookshelf to the wall) were just too time consuming and we were dragging our feet about getting it done. Having
come proved to be just the thing to get all those "should dos" taken care of. He did a thorough assessment of our house, listened to all of our concerns, did his own walk through, and then made a number of recommendations. There was no hard sell, just a list of suggested improvements. We picked the things we wanted him to do, and he noted that he could come back to do any of the other items at any time if we changed our mind down the road. He got everything done in a timely fashion and then walked us through to show us exactly what he did. It was just what we hoped we were getting when we got the Big Deal. If I have one suggestion for
and crew it would be to leave a list of possible improvements with the customer so that, if we decide we want to do them down the road, we can remember what they are!

Angie's Answers

First you should not be there during installation and als not during the removal of the old windows. Injestion of lead is the big hazard. Dust partiles should be carefully removed and cleared away especially around food preperation areas. There is a guide line pamphlet from the E.P.A. on how to protect your selfs from the hazaeds of lead paint. Your window company should have supplied you with a copy. You can go to E.P.A. web site and read first hand about  the requirements for contractors. You should see lots of plastic covering floors , walls, tables, beds in the areas around work. You should see hepa vacs to clean and clear out dust. and you should see a clean test pad after the area was completed. You shoud not see dust, dirt, chips, etc. once the area was deemed clean.

did a great job. He charges by the specific task to be performed rather than by the hour. After getting much higher quotes from another

company which does charge by the hour, I can tell you that this is a good deal.

is friendly, hardworking and uses quality products. I was very pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him to friends and family and would use his services again if I were to move to another home.
