Cardiology Reviews in Philadelphia

Got a thorough check-up including a check for PVA and stroke. Got a non-invasive heart scan (
's outpatient nuclear cardiology suite at 219 N. Broad has a gamma camera with X-
attenuation so that larger folks don't need to get a repeat test if their extra body fat attenuates the image). Also got labs done. Felt much better knowing that a heart attack wasn't right around the corner. Also, got some counseling about nutrition and exercise. More fiber, more veggies, more water. Less sitting around, less coffee, less meat and processed food.

is an easy going, quietly efficient, pleasant person to deal with. He's very patient with his patients :o) For instance, my Dad is hard of hearing and also very talkative and goes "all around the block" while answering a question before he gets to the point :o) Many times I've seen people, even medical professionals, get a little testy and inpatient with my Dad, but Dr.
respectfully listens, and also takes the time to make sure my Dad understands everything he says, even if he has to explain things more than once. When my Dad was scheduled to leave the hospital about 5 days after his open heart surgery, Dr.
decided to keep him a couple more days because he was having a slight atrial fibrilation, and Dr.
wanted to make sure it was under control before releasing him. He came to my Dad's bedside to explain this himself, knowing how anxious my Dad was to leave the hospital and go home, and that he wasn't going to be a "happy camper." He took the time to explain why it was necessary for him to stay, and my Dad eventually understood and accepted it without issue. This impressed me because many doctors would have let a nurse tell him he wouldn't be going home when he expected to, and let her deal with listening to him complain, and having to explain the reasons to him, but Dr.
chose to do that himself. The staff in Dr.
office are very well organized and run the office very efficiently. It's easy to set up appointments and when a non-emergency message is left after hours, they return the call promptly the next day and the two times we've had a concern that needed immediate attention, we've gotten a call back immediately from
, and she also was very helpful and asked the right questions to accurately assess the situation. Although we live in another state, and it takes around an hour to get to Dr.
office, we will continue to see him rather than find a local Cardiologist for my Dad, because he have so much confidence in Dr.
and don't want to change doctors for my Dad's heart care.

Cardiology reviews in Philadelphia

After being admitted to an E.R. for chest pain and headache, it was suggested I see a specialist as soon as possible. I chose Dr.
Philadelphia Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
on the recommendation of my primary physician. The usual preliminary checks were taken, blood pressure, weight, visual acuity etc. However, Dr.

asked me questions regarding any stress I might be under. I told her I am a single parent. She then suggested that I pray and to pray without ceasing. After determining that I "knew the Lord" she moved on. I showed Dr.

a program I had been using for weight loss to see if it might be causing the problem. Some of the ingredients she did not know. So she told me to stop using the program and to walk for a half hour everyday and do some exercises if I wanted to

weight. Never once asking me if I had tried that already for losing weight. While Dr.

is very friendly and seems to have great bedside manner, I question her credibility particularly after her weight loss prescription, which by the way I had done for months and did not have the same results as the program I showed her. Dr.

had me schedule a heart ultrasound (ECG) to check my heart further.

We had a bad experience when my husband went to see Dr.
Philadelphia Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
. Initially, the office visit was fine. I think he personally is a descent doctor. He ordered a series of tests for my husband, and I think they were fairly standard. We liked him as a personal doctor, but there were complications with the insurance. My insurance needed their staff to call and authorize it. In 6weeks I ended up calling their office 22 times. They hung up on me, cursed at me, screamed at me, and told me that they had no time to deal with this. In the meantime my husband has just gotten out of intensive care. My husband finally got through to them, and they suggested that he go see another doctor that was closer. They just didn't want anything else to do with us. He was supposed to have a cardiac ultrasound, and when we got there the hospital had no record of them requesting the test. They sent one of their staff cardiologists over to do the test. They never sent the paperwork over or called. The hospital cardiologist said that there is no way that he was leaving without having the test. When we changed doctors, they refused to send records and test results. We received a letter in the mail not to long ago saying that my husband needs to schedule an appointment, and that they haven't seen him in awhile. They were the ones that told us to take a hike. I would urge people to stay away from that practice. I think he was a good doctor, but his staff was atrocious. He was pretty punctual. We never had a long wait to get in and see him. Dr.

He is a very good cardiologist. He and his staff return phone calls and are prompt. He is very in tune with my symptoms and makes suggestions for lifestyle changes in order to improve my situation. He is very knowledgeable and informed on procedures and statistics. He also is up on the newest trends in heart research, techniques and medicine. His staff is also fantastic.

Philadelphia Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
is great! He is very personable. He welcomes my daughter to come in with me for appointments. He answers her questions as well as mine. They do not have condescending attitudes at all. I will definitely continue to go there in the future and would recommend them to others.

He is just excellent. His staff is fantastic. He even calls me at home to check-up on me after I'm released from the hospital just to make sure I'm doing ok. They file my insurance for me so I don't have to pay anything for my visits.

This the best office in the world. A lady named

ran it and they go above and beyond the call of duty. They are so caring and patient. The Drs. bedside manner if terrific. I cannot say enough good things about her.

All visits are helpful and uplifting. When she does not know the answer to a question, she first consults other medical specialists in cardiac or related fields and has her office manager get back to me. When the question I ask is too intimate to be relayed by the office manager, she calls me back herself. My medical appointments with her are "musts" for me! As I recall, no inclement weather has kept me away from any appointment.
