"Rich gave us a prompt estimate and showed us a portfolio of before/after remodeling work he had done. We checked the references he gave us, and they were very good. He made a point of telling us that he would only begin the work once all of the materials were delivered. This ended up causing about a week long delay in the finishing of the job. What we really found to be problematic was his unreliability. We never knew if he would show up when he said he would. There were many days when he showed up hours late, and sometimes not at all. He tried to persuade us to leave our house key with him so he could just come at any time, but my husband and I found this completely unacceptable, as we did not want any workers in our house alone. The bathroom was supposed to be completed in 3 weeks; it took

6 weeks."
