Paving Reviews in Orlando

Bill the salesman is great. Wife and I went out to the office to pick our design from the examples they had laid out on their property.
was very kind and aims to please.
Pavers were delivered on time, and
Paver craftsmen arrived as appointed for installation. These guys are very good at what they do. The cuts for curvature of the sidewalk and around planters were bordered and perfect, they work very fast too. We are more than pleased with material quality, personnel, installation, overall finish and price.

Bill, with
, is coming out today to do an estimate for a job around our pool in the back yard. Good business deserves repeat customers! Keep it up guys!

The entire process from start to finish was flawless.
came to my house to evaluate the current condition and materials in place, we discussed different options, and came to a consensus of what was to be installed. His team began the next day and were finished in a few days.
still comes by to check on the plants to make sure they are growing and rooting as they should.

The purchase experience was very satisfactory. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different types of landscape rock available. They were timely with their delivery and the product was quality. I would recommend this vendor to anyone looking for quality landscape materials.

All materials were delivered on time and placed on the drive way as requested. We also purchased several large boulders, they were very helpful at loading them in our truck.

The team arrived on-time and were professional and courteous. The job started at approx 8:30 am and finished around 1:00pm. I am happy with the finished product and would consider using the landscape service again. Labor charges are higher than other providers estimated at approx $75 per man per hour for a 3 man crew, Material charges were inline with researched prices for the items provided. The end results provide an immediate impact to the

appeal of my home and overall worth the cost.

We relocated to the area a few months ago, and knew the pool deck would need to be resurfaced within a year or so. A family member who lives nearby had used

for work on her lanai area, and she loved it, and spoke highly of him. So we placed a call to get an estimate done.
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
called us back, set up a time to come by and show us samples, & give an estimate. He gave us a written proposal before he left that day, which included the cleaning, prepping, and resurfacing of our pool's deck,

, and our covered lanai area. We took a few days to make sure our changes were not an issue with any

codes, and to select the color we wanted for both the stone surface, and the new bullnose/

of the pool.
After initial meeting, plus any time you take personally for color selection, the process itself is relatively quick, like 3 days (includes prep, paint, apply surface, overnight drying and then for
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
to come back and do his final quality check, clean-up, etc.) Our process took a little longer, 4 visits, but only because
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
was doing us a courtesy and fitting us in to his schedule, which also included him working some on Labor Day weekend. (In anticipation of a hurricane that was approaching, we had moved some patio items into our living room...so once the storm passed without any damage, we decided to see if we could go ahead and get the pool deck project started.

agreed, and fit us into his schedule.)

and his associate,

properly explained the process to us, which is, by its nature, a bit messy (as the current surface will need to prepped, clean-up after, etc.) For us this meant a lot of flaky paint was washed off the surface, and some of it will naturally end up going in the pool. Our pool

need to be ground down to create a proper lip for the surface, drainage, etc. - which created dust that had to go somewhere. So, there is clean-up to do with the pool afterwards which

Angie's List has asked me to provide them with a detailed report of your work for us.
I have drafted a fairly lengthy and detailed account for this job to justify what I believe to be a very poor performance. I would like you to review this report and let me know if you have any comments or revisions before I submit it. I do not want to submit a report that omits material facts or contains erroneous facts, so I need you to respond to this email if you believe that this report is inaccurate. My report is as follows:
Based upon very strong endorsements from Angie’s List, I asked this contractor,
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
& PAVERS, to give me a full quote for a rear patio remodel and travertine paver installation. The paver system was to include sub-
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
materials, pavers, fill material, labor, disposing of excess material, and
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
restraint. Contractor was to cut and grade area move 1 sprinkler, cap 1 sprinkler and convert three other sprinklers to drip lines. Contractor was to demolish sidewalk, remove & haul concrete. Sand set installation of Travertine pavers 16" x 16" and infill with polymeric sand.
On May 16, 2012, the Contractor presented a proposal to do this work for $2,508.00. At that time, the Contractor assured me that he had done installations in our neighborhood before, that he would complete the work in June 2012, and that I would not need
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
approval for the work. All of these statements were inaccurate. In fact, the Contractor had not worked with Travertine pavers, he could not complete the work in June 2012, and I needed to obtain
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
approval for the work.
After the
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
approved the work, I contacted the Contractor on
Orlando Stone Paving Specialists Provider Name Locked
27, 2012 to make the (50%) down-payment on commence work. At that time, the scope of work was modified so that the contractor was to add square footage (additional $115.00) and provide & install field drain extension and extension on sprinkler system valve encasement (additional $150.00). However, the pricing on the Travertine that was originally quotes also was increased by the Contractor. Therefore, on August 1, 2012, the Contractor presented a new proposal to do this work for $3,314.00. We specifically agreed that the work would be "Done in August". At that time, I paid approximately $1,657.00 down to purchase the Travertine and commence work.
Aside from the fact that the Contractor under-bid this job which caused me to reject more reasonable proposals submitted by other contractors for this job, his representation that the work would be completed in August was also inaccurate. In early August the contractor cleared the vegetation. By mid-August, the contractor demolished and removed the sidewalk leaving the work area (high foot traffic area for the family) a hazardous and unsightly work area. As the end-of-August approached, I had several telephone conversations and exchanged numerous text messages with the Contractor regarding scheduling the work, providing a safer work area and completing the work. At this time, the Contractor began making false and misleading representations.
The most disturbing statements (and texts) were made to me in late August. At that time, the Contractor represented that he had spent our down-payment to purchase the Travertine. On August 24, 2012, the Contractor wrote: "The travertine is bought waiting for me to pick up i should be on your project thurs. and fri. next week." This was a demonstrably false and misleading statement. In fact, the travertine was not purchased (with the down-payment money that we provided almost 1-month earlier), and the contractor did not return to our project the following week. Thereafter, the Contractor made numerous other demonstrably false statements and assurances. We have documented no less than 4 instances where this Contractor assured us that he would come on a date specific and then he never showed-up without any forewarning for the cancellation.
Ultimately, the travertine was purchased and picked-up by the contractor on or about September 20, 2012, and despite all of the false statements and missed deadlines, the Contractor announced that job was completed on or about September 24, 2012. The work, however, was not completed pursuant to our agreement. For example, he did not convert three sprinklers to drip lines and he did not use restraint material that matches the color of the travertine, nor did he stain the restraint material to match the travertine, among others. [He did not extend the drainage box encasement and he did not extend a sprinkler control valve encasement. Instead, he simply covered these areas with pavers].
Perhaps realizing that the work had not been completed pursuant to our agreement, the Contractor became somewhat aggressive and we caught him attempting to enter into our privacy area for the purposes of confronting us and collecting the final payment. Despite the misleading statements, delays and incomplete work, the Contractor discounted only $20 from the proposed price. We regrettably paid $1,637.00 to the Contractor on September 25, 2012.

Got your email today and have never read a more one sided erroneous compilation of reality in my life. I have gone through it line by line. Wow, i believe you have distorted not only facts but also overall ongoing working relations as you never verbalized any problems. You were informed before we excepted your job that we were booked through September and you would be "worked in" to openings. Your behavior is one of stealth, however, we always were honest and accommodating with you. I can, of course, disagree with just about every point you have decided to thrust our way. Angies list is designed for its members to give their input and i agree. Go ahead and submit what you want as angies list also gives me the right to respond to your charges.. thankyou and your wife for the work, sorry you now feel so mistreated.
