for a fence quote and a sales person responded quite quickly to come to my property and take measurements to provide the quote. Of course there was some price negotiation to which I would have to follow up to find ...more out what the owner had/would agree to. One price for an under the table cash deal, another for terms, etc. The sales person would always claim he thought the ball was in my court, but finally admitted he simply forgot to get back to me as he was spread pretty thin. That should have been my first indicator to how the process would go.
Terms are finally agreed to, fence install scheduled for the beginning of April and I thought it would be a seamless process from there. Wrong. Fence installers came and worked their butts off to get it all done in a day as I have a pool. Of course it’s dark when they finish so I can’t tell how the finished product looks. Well, the fence was built on site, but the distance between the posts was all different – not an inch or two – some were sixteen inches wider apart than the next post. The gates also did not close properly and there were nails sticking through all over the place.
I took pictures and emailed them in to
. Rather than receiving a call to schedule a fix, I get a call for the balance due payment. I of course would not release payment until everything was satisfactory and I was told that the warranty does not kick in until the work was paid in full. I informed them that this was an install issue, not a warranty issue. Finally, after a couple of weeks of waiting they scheduled someone to come out and do the repairs – move one post (the most aesthetically irritating one)to have it centered, repair two gates (built wrong), repair some of the pickets that were nailed on crooked, fill in holes that were left open and repair two broken sprinkler heads. The warranty fellow (who is actually a plumber doing fence repair on the side) shows up at 6 pm – obviously not enough time to do the repairs nor does he have the right materials. So another appointment has to be made, and I again have to miss
. Finally the crew chief comes out, assesses the situation, agrees with me, and brings in a couple of guys to do the work. Well the work was done, but not completely. None of the crooked pickets were fixed and I had given up on the sprinkler heads so did those myself. This is now a month later and the replaced boards are of course a different color so now I have to wait some more before I can stain (which had already been scheduled) as the boards have to “breathe and dry” and hopefully turn the same color. Another two weeks in and the boards are still a different color and the crooked boards have not been fixed. This one/two day job has become a two month project and is still not complete.
Now they want me to leave my property unsecured or miss more work again so that the city can do their final inspection. Of course they had to add that if the inspectors came and didn’t have access I would be assessed a fee for a re-inspection and if the permit remained open and then expire I would potentially have trouble selling my property in the future, blah blah blah. Really? Now the scare tactics come into play?
So it is now June 23rd and the fence installation repairs are still not complete. The owner of
stopped by without appointment to see if he could solve the problems and demand that the balance due be paid the next day. There was one
left to put on straight and I had told them that for over a week. He tried to say they had accommodated all of my changes (which changes - correcting the poor placement of the post and repairing their errors?) to which I told him he was being ridiculous as every time they had to come out was because they failed to complete the job correctly. Right from the start I gave them pictures and a punch list – nothing was added to the list except for the discovery of more crooked boards – they just could never do anything 100%. He actually told me that they were the best fence company in town but had such a stack of repairs to do and they couldn’t keep coming over – well get it done right the first time then…and if you’re the best why the stack of repairs. He also told me that their contract stated that they could do the fence however they wanted so they didn’t have to try to have the posts at equal distances from each other. He seemed to think that if one post was closer to the next by 16” that was ok. I can understand an inch or two, but not sixteen, and the argument that there was probably a root in the way did not hold since that was the post I had them relocate to center and it went in just fine. Nice attitude, nice contract. He also said that any other fence company would tell me to jump in the pool if I requested them to fix their install errors. Again, really?
Maybe I am too particular (I
’t think so), I spent a lot of money to replace my fence to have security, privacy and an aesthetically pleasing property, and I think I should get what I contracted for. The
sales pitch and commercials were fantastic and I thought I would be dealing with an outstanding company, but I am not at all happy with
If you want a company who takes almost 3 months to satisfactorily complete a
board on board fence, and you want to babysit them, miss a bunch or work and then put up with their attitude, I highly recommend
. Otherwise, stay clear. "

"Shortly before my installation date, I asked if I could make some changes because I wanted to choose a different fence. My request was very last minute and I told them that I would understand if they could not accommodate such a late request. The office ...more manager,
, was extremely kind and understanding and went above and beyond to provide me with the upgrade that I wanted and only charged me a small upgrade fee. Today, they broke down and hauled away the old fence. Then, they installed my new fence around our well system. The installation crew were very polite and well organized. There were some obstacles that they ran into during the installation, such as irrigation lines found in inconvenient places which made them have to reposition some of the posts and they even had to cut out a small section of a cement slab to complete the job correctly. They never complained and professionally solved each and every problem that they came across. Several of my neighbors had previously told me that I should just do the job myself. I am extremely glad that I did not follow that advice and had
Company professionally install my commercial grade fence, which has a life time guarantee on parts and labor. Their price was very good when I compared it to the other estimates that I had received. And, it was excellent when I factor in the upgrade that I received, and that they use only commercial grade materials.
Everyone at this company, including
that came and provided the quote, all of the wonderful people in the office and the hard working and dedicated installers, were exceptionally nice, professional and kind. They really cared about me as a customer and as a person. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure that I was completely happy with the job from start to finish. "

"I am incredibly happy with the results. It was beautifully (and quickly) done and the price was competitive with the other six estimates we received which all refused to scribe the fence. I would absolutely recommend
or use them again! Also,
was so responsive to any phone calls or emails in the event of ...more questions. Excellent job and excellent customer service! "
"I would highly recommend Paramount Fence to anyone.
The survey, by
, and the estimate for materials and installation were A-one with drawings and instructions. I was kept informed about the time line for material delivery and installation start.
The installation crew were very professional. asked for our input and ...more left a clean worksite. We couldn't be more pleased with both the product and the people we dealt with. "
came out as scheduled and met with me - he really discussed my fencing options. Their price was fair and I decided to replace my fence with the same style wood
fence. Once I got all the paperwork completed, they gave me ...more a start date and the guys showed up as scheduled.
, the owner, also came by to open the job. After walking with him and the supervisor I was very comfortable in selecting
. 3 days later I had a beautiful, wood
fence that is extremely solid and is built to last. It is amazing to see how a professionally built by hand fence looks and how the support beam design contributes to the overall strength of a fence. I have already given the contact info for
to two friends and I would use them again in the future. "
"The estimator was very late--almost an hour--with no call to advise that he was running behind. When he arrived, I told him what I was looking for estimates on (repair fence, replace with wood, replace with PVC). This matched exactly what I had communicated to the company via email, on two occasions. As we went over my requests, he promptly advised ...more me that, "they don't fix fences." This was totally contrary to what I had been told via email and even on the confirmation call. Either way, we proceeded with the other estimates. There is some bamboo in my backyard, and you would have thought that a vampire had just run into garlic. In all fairness, there would need to be some clearing done of this bamboo as it had started to encroach on the fence line. All other companies had no issue with it though and included it in their estimates. At the end, he took his measurements, didn't really go over any options, and told me that he'd email me with the estimate. Again, no other company did this. It really felt like he didn't want my business. When the estimate did come, it was for $6850 for PVC--almost $1200 more than all other providers. As you can imagine, I went with another company. "
provided a quote and gave me a time frame. They beat their time frame and showed up on time for the job. The crew was polite and took me through what they were going to do. They hand built the fence- and it is the best looking wood fence around. I did have some issues with the gate, but
kept at it and ...more when I was not 100% satisfied with the solution,
came out on a Saturday to address my issues to make sure I was 100% happy. You can't ask more than that from a company. "
provided a full fencing installation at my residence. This included a complete removal of my old fence and new installation while preserving a multitude of plants and a pond. Both of which were aligned directly next to my fence.
also installed two large gates and secured the area to be sure my two small ...more animals will not escape.
supplied the permits and picked up all materials.
was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely refer him to my friends and family in the future. I am extremely happy with his services. "
"It went perfectly, except for the weather. I wish every contractor I hired was even close to this company in service and performance. This is an exceptional company and the workmanship (especially under difficult circumstances) was wonderful.
"I'm a remote landlord and was very skeptical about hiring a contractor from almost 3,000 miles away.
got the job done, sent me pictures of his work, and charged a reasonable fee.
Several months after a spring storm, I was still having trouble locating someone to do exactly the type of work I needed.
...more was thorough, skilled, a great communicator, flexible, and kind enough to send photos afterward. My former neighbor actually reached out on Facebook to tell me how well kept my home looked after the porch repairs. "
