"As the result of a glowing review by another member, I decided to give Dr. a try. And I kept trying, but I finally gave up. I think Dr. is a knowledgable provider, but I never spent less than 30 minutes in her waiting room, followed by another 15 minutes or so in the examining room. I get an annual physical and at every annual physical I've ever had (I'm 62 so I've had a few!!!), the doc gave me scripts for a year's worth of medications (I don't take any 'exotic' stuff - just the usual LIpitor, etc.). But Dr.

refuses to do that - something about her concern that some problems might be discovered with the meds I'm taking and she doesn't want to wait a year to review them. But she has one of the most automated medical office systems I've ever seen - isn't that what computers are for? I think she's just trying to drum up more business, which doesn't make sense because you already have to sit in her waiting room forever to get in to see her - at this rate, there will be no more room in her waiting room. So I agreed to see her every 6 months instead of annually. Just what I need - another way to waste my time. But the final straw started just before the holidays, when I was preparing for a trip. I was running out of an allergy med she had prescribed which for some unknown reason she hadn't even given me enough refills to last until my next (6 month) visit. I called the pharmacy and they tried contacting her office several times, with no response. I ran out of time before I left on my trip so had to go without. When I got back, I checked with my pharmacy and it still had not been refilled. I sent Dr.

's assistant an email (which I think is a nice convenience), and this is the response I got back: 'The pharmacy probably tried to fax something over but we

?t accept faxes from pharmacies. Either way Dr.

will probably want to see you in order to get your refills.' That was it for me. They couldn't even bother to call me to let me know this - they just ignored the faxes. And this is the way pharmacies get refill authorizations all the time. AND I already had an appopintment scheduled for 3 weeks away. So they want me to make ANOTHER one before then just to get a refill for a med which she didn't give me enough refills for to begin with???"
