"I found this company online, and decided to have them submit a quote for the job. Filled out questionnaire online, and they contacted us that day to setup an appointment. I was in the shower, and my wife answered the phone. My wife asked them to come out on a day she would not be home, and they outright refused (strange). They said something about company policy that BOTH homeowners need to be there for the estimate. (Spider senses tingle) Next, the person started to ask my wife what she did for a living! What exactly this is important I have no idea, but the thought of a "Sliding Scale" certainly came to mind. We decided then ant there NOT to pursue having them doing the work. The whole situation just felt "Wrong"."

was given my mom's number (who lives by herself in a 100 year old house)by a family acquaintance regarding roofing. He called and he was going to come over and give my mom a quote for rooofing the next day. I proceeded to call and say that I was the actual home owner and the roofing (was recently inspected and ok after a storm) wasn't first on my list to get fixed. I said I was somewhat in "triage" mode with an 80 year old house and if they provided other handyman/contracting services.
