"They responded the same day to my request for an inspection and were at my house the next day up on my roof and in my attic. They handled everything. I never had to be the "go between" with my insurance company and 
- they were in constant communication with my insurance adjuster regarding building codes, etc.
Their representatives came to my house with shingle style and color samples, explained all the differences in shingle design and pricing, what was and wasn't covered by my insurance policy, brought out gutter color samples and even helped me choose the right combination that makes my house the best looking one on my street!

"I got hit hard in the hail storm last May, I had no idea who to call. I ran into Cannon at a business event and it was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. When he came to look at my home, he was very thorough in examining all of the damage. i was afraid that my insurance company would not pay out enough to cover all of the damage, but was able to get them to cover all of the damage, all I had to pay was the deductible. Once the work began, which was a lot sooner than I thought it would be, they did an excellent job. In fact, when they set the time to show up, they were actually early. They left my yard nicer than when they got here, they even picked up the trash from the trash bag that a dog got a hold of the day before. While they were working on my house they also knocked on the neighbors doors and picked up the trash around their yards also. When they finished the work, they walked me around and showed me everything they did. They were very concerned that everything was done right. left his cell phone number with me just in case anything was not right. I was so impressed with the way treated my home and my family that I referred him to my grandparents. He took care of them as if they were his own family. Which is good because I am very protective of my . Anytime I hear someone talking about their house being damaged, I tell them about . "

"They did a beautiful job and were very professional. Came back out at the end of the job to inspect the work, knocked the pad off for the security system and made sure that was working again which I appreciated. They left the place very clean and I couldn't ask for anyone better. Price was comparable with other estimates I had received. He also gave me a 5 year warranty on workmanship. He reminded me before he left to have the roof inspected from time to time due to the warranty."

"They did a very good job. They were in and out very quickly. They cleaned up after themselves. Their bid was almost exactly what the insurance bid was. When they came in the same price as the insurance I was surprised. That was great! The quality looks good and my friend who is an engineer said it looks good as well. They were very responsive. They were also very punctual. I was going on vacation in the middle of all of this and they had to wait to put the roof on until I returned. They were very good about working with my schedule. I had little contact with them. They were in and out and done. Everyone in the company I had contact with was very nice. I will work with them again, as they are going to paint my house."

" , who's well known to readers of other reports, came out and looked over the roof and gave me an estimate in early June. Since the roof wasn't leaking and the gutters still worked, I wasn't in any great rush to get the roof done, so I told him just to schedule us whenever he could. We originally planned to do the roof on 14th, but he needed to reschedule. He called well in advance (around 2nd) to change the date and made sure it wasn't going to cause me a problem. The crew came out on the 19th or 20th as scheduled and did the job in one day.
We did hit a few snags on the job. For example, the roofers removed and replaced my satellite dish themselves but they didn't get it right and I lost my TV service. I called and he asked me to call my satellite provider to schedule a service appointment to fix it and they would deduct the amount of the service call from my bill with them. The satellite provider sent out a subcontractor who not only didn't fix the dish but, as put it, appeared to have done the Mashed Potato on the shingles. replaced about a dozen of them and said they would take it up with the contractor. Very little inconvenience to me, although I did have to arrange a second service call with the actual provider's technician to get things working properly.
Another issue we had was that 's subcontractors for electrical work and guttering were a little slow about showing up and returning phone calls. Again I wasn't in any kind of a rush, so none of this was a real problem for me. If someone were in a hurry, I'm sure they could get things done faster. What amused me about it was that a voice mail left for about a contractor not showing up resulted in a phone call about five minutes later from the contractor. In addition, I noticed that the roofers had left more nails on the ground than I had seen the last time I had the roof replaced. seemed mortified and had someone out inside of two hours with a magnet. No more nails.
Along with , at the office was great to work with. Anything I needed from her, like paperwork for my insurance company or another copy of an invoice, was provided right away. She was even very polite when my wife and I each thought the other had sent them a check and they didn't get paid for a couple of weeks.
All in all, I'd have to say that working with might not be a totally problem-free experience but their attitude is that they're not satisfied until their customers are. A lot of companies say that but I got the impression that they mean it 100%. When I told that I had read about his company on Angie's List, he said that that's where he makes his living. I have to think that being able to succeed largely on the basis of satisfied customers is about as strong an indication of quality work and excellent customer service than anything I could say in my review."

" was given my mom's number (who lives by herself in a 100 year old house)by a family acquaintance regarding roofing. He called and he was going to come over and give my mom a quote for rooofing the next day. I proceeded to call and say that I was the actual home owner and the roofing (was recently inspected and ok after a storm) wasn't first on my list to get fixed. I said I was somewhat in "triage" mode with an 80 year old house and if they provided other handyman/contracting services. said yes and he did contracting too. I told him I needed soffits fixed and exterior painting first. He said he'd come over the next morning and get us an itemized estimate on the repairs (including a separate one for the roof just to have for our records). Never showed up and seemed a little fishy to me."

"I got estimates from 3 different companies on Angie's List. did the estimate for J.H. Home Renovations and patiently answered all of my questions. His estimate was 2nd highest__but all 3 estimates were very close to each other. was very professional & he was well prepared when I asked him about waiver of . His crew arrived early a couple of days later, worked hard until nightfall, came back early the next morning and worked 2-3 hours to finish everything. I am very pleased with the way the roof looks from the street and I would definitely consider J.H. Home Renovations again should any roof problems arise."

"From start to finish this was a professional and pleasant experience. I will use them again, should such an occasion occur. I definitely recommend them. I only marked down on the quality to a B because the structure itself had an issue. I do not know enough about construction to say this was something the roofing company could have repaired or if it was something that just needed to be accepted. In all, the job was well done."

"All of these problems could be avoided by good communication and scheduling. I realize everyone is busy with storm damage.I would rather wait and get it all done when people can be scheduled than go through this hassle."
