Oral Surgery Reviews in Oklahoma City

This morning our son looked forward to going to the rocket ship place. We had an 11:30 appointment and we arrived on time. The receptionist,
, was happy, caring and unbelievably nice. She went out of her way to be welcoming. We waited and waited and finally were told they running 30 minutes behind. Our son had not eaten or drank anything since the night before but was a real trooper. He stayed busy playing in the waiting area. Finally, at 1 hour, we asked how much longer and they said they would ask. They came back and told us 15 minutes longer. And finally at 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, we were called to the back. While checking vitals they carried out a child crying from the effects of the sedation. This startled our son but he was reassured by the nurse. Then the dentist who was not Dr.
but a new one
DDS came in he was rude and said that they had been really busy and that he was doing the best he couldbut he still needed to eat his lunch and then he would get started. This was in front of a child who had not eaten in 19 hours. Then when our son asked what was wrong with the screaming child, he said, "he will be crying like that and in a twighlight zone phase." My son internalized that with pain and screaming, as would most children of that age. He then went on to tell our son that he would be putting him to sleep and then giving him several shots like mosquito bites. That pretty much sent our calm child into absolute fear and flight mode. Then Dr.
left to go eat his lunch before beginning work on our son. All while our son was panicking and crying. My husband asked to speak with Dr.
and he did and expressed his concerns. Dr.
then brought a
in and tried telling our son how that it all that he would remember. Didn't work. Long story short, my husband helped hold him down and he was put to sleep and woke up with the work done. However, he has asked and commented at least a dozen times about why they grabbed his face and held him down. Ironically the practice post-op instructions state - " When speaking to your child regarding this appointment, only positive, complimentary statements are appropriate. the child usually only remembers only what the parents reiterates after the appointment. A positive post-treatment period will guarantee that your child will begin to build confidence in the dentist and will ensure that subsequent appointments are less stressful." Too bad that isn't what the dentist practiced. This is not at all the care that I envisioned or expected. I think it could have been alleviated by reducing the wait, rescheduling when that long of a wait was forseeable and perhaps taking a hard look at whether or not the new dentist's bedside manner is really geared toward pediatric patients. My opinion is no, not at all. Dr.
has invested a considerable amount of capitol, time and caring to share his practice with another dentist that appears to be insensitive and uncaring to the young population that this practice caters to. I think that I am eqaully sad because the last time we visited, we were excited to hear that the practice had added an orthodontist, Dr.
- the same dentist that we experienced today. I am truly disappointed that now be looking elsewhere because instead of the rocket ship place-my son now associates the experience with bad memories. There are way too many substandard dental places around to get this type of service from such a well organized facility.

It’s been very good. He is friendly. I always enjoy going in there just for the conversations. I get all sorts on interesting discussions when he is working on my teeth. I would rate him highly. I would use him again in the future.

does such a beautiful job. I have had to change appointments many times and there has never been a problem doing that. They are very professional and easy to work with there.

He's very personable, he's almost like a friend. His work is excellent. I'm 74 and I first met him when I was 50 or 55. I grew up in Chicago and we were pretty poor. I had a lot of teeth that were pulled and wore crummy braces and he completely changed my mouth, it's like I have all my own teeth. It's a big difference from wearing a huge partial plate to now having no partial plate. All his work and consideration is outstanding, I kind of feel like he's a friend. It would not surprise me if I've spent $100,000 over the last 20 years between my wife, daughter and myself.

I had a bridge done in 2004 and my

have bled since. I was recommended to go to Oklahoma University for a second opinion after hearing from another dentist that the work couldn't be done, I would look strange and that I had long teeth and that I would never look normal.

I went to
Oklahoma City Oral Surgeons Provider Name Locked
and they all completely put me at ease. Everyone in that office is so friendly, they go out of their way for you. They measured my mouth, teeth, etc. He did say there were a few things he couldn't correct because of my skeletal structure, but that's okay. He was really concerned about it and wanted to make sure I understood the process.

We had to start the work immediately, and the work was great. I don't doubt them for a minute. I have never had anyone do that much work to make sure it was done right. They are perfectionists.

It's the faculty practice at Oklahoma University. They do everything. I would highly recommend them. You are in the hands of professionals.

The dentist spent an appropriate time to get a dental and relavent medical history. He was pleasant and courteous. Importantly, he was not distracted or juggleing other patients while attending to my treatment. I plan to use his services in the future.

I’ve been going to him for 18 years and he’s done everything for me. He’s done crowns and fillings and has seen all my kids; I’ve got 4 of them. They all went to him and they are adults now. You

I've been going to him since he was fresh out of school and bought a practice. He is an excellent dentist. I've advanced over the years from being so nervous that I could hardly hold my mouth open to being relaxed. That's been almost 30 years. I always use him and I've converted half my family.

has treated my family more than ten years. He and his staff are very caring. He explains the results of the exam, the options for care, and welcomes questions. He also explains what he's doing as he does it. They take our comfort into consideration, and are careful to not cause pain.
