"They were fantastic. It was a family owned business. I can?t say enough about them. It was a fantastic experience. Every single person treated the house like their own house. They worked around aiming to complete all the dirty kind of job before our son was born. The price was fair and didn't go above what was quoted. They pushed all the savings to us which we used towards other things. They worked even during weekends for us."

Brothers Contracting is a local company owned by two brothers,

Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was referred to me by another professional tradesman. I already had quotes for a steel ramp and aluminum ramp and was looking for something a little less "institutional" looking that was still going to be long-lasting. When I first spoke with
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
he listened to my needs and came over within the week to look at the house. He measured, took pics and gave me some options. When we were finally ready to move forward, he came over again to nail down the final design and sign the contract.

took care of all the permit issues with the city. The project was delayed a couple of days because of bad weather which had pushed them behind on other days. When

and his crew arrived to dig the post holes it was sunny. By late morning it was majorly downpouring.

rigged up some tarps so they could keep digging as the inspector was already scheduled to come out the next day. The actual building of the ramp was pretty quick. It took about a day and a half (not counting the day for pouring concrete). The ramp is nearly 5 feet wide and has a very gentle 1:12 slope. They used concrete for the last 10" or so due to the slope of the driveway. The sides are done with pickets and

gave the handrails a nice beveled

. The ramp goes from the driveway to the front porch. A threshold ramp was also built. The design of the ramp is perfect. It preserved the already existing landscaping and light posts. One of the guys even transplanted two bird's nests from a couple limbs that had to be cut back. The ramp extends less than 1' into the driveway so I did really lost any space. They are extremely clean and organized. They took every scrap, nail and food/drink container with them. They swept the ramp, sidewalk and driveway. I could not have been any happier and look forward to using them again for some additional accessibility improvements in the house!

"I am getting ready to have him come again. He was very punctual and he cleaned up after himself when he left. All the tools were put away and he swept which was critical because I had little kids. He gave me the estimate immediately, other contractors would take 6 months to give me an estimate, by that time the job was done. I never had a problem, it was always perfectly done. He's not cheap but he doesn't cost a penny more than what he says. He does a very thorough job and the work is beautiful. "

"Fantastic. Beautfiul work.

is a busy man who coaches baseball, yet is always on the job, even on Saturday if necessary. His crew is extemely hard-working, responsive and friendly. They made suggestions as they went along--for example, the wood on the porch needed to be replaced, which they asked us about and then did. They replaced the new railing on the deck by the hot tub because I didn't like the original color.

performed several tasks that were above and beyond the contract, with no extra charge. We called him on a Friday night with a concern and he was at our house Saturday morning at 7am to look at it! I felt terrible!

"I discovered this company on Angie's List after 2 months of disappointing interviews and estimates from 4 other companies.

Gogarty was courteous and punctual from the beginning and listened to my ideas. That has all continued with the work which began mid-June. I always knew what to expect and if the workers didn't show up I was informed when they would. The work has been first-rate so far and I expect the remainder to be as well. Exterior work is done and I'm especially delighted with the construction of my new front porch which was everything I hoped for! The pace of the work was slower than I hoped for, but hold-ups occurred due to many city inspections and excessive summer heat. I highly recommend this business for your home remodelling!"

"The job went really well. They had to take measurements on all the windows which is difficult in an old home since there is settling.
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to manufacture the frames on all the windows, some of which were small and others enormous (like 66" x 108"). The windows are great and, since this is an Angie's List report, at one point
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
even walked my dog one day during the job (just like the Angie's List TV ad).

"The owner came out and he was knowledgeable and personable. I haven't proceeded yet. I'm still waiting on some information but I'm not planning to do the work until

or August. He has gotten me some of the estimate, but it is not a high-pressure thing yet. I think he is worth people contacting. He was on time."

"ODI was selected from Angie's List. ODI was one of 13 contractors considered for my home renovation project, but the ONLY one that focused on Customer Satisfaction. ODI was also the only one to take full responsibility for acquiring, installing, and providing warrantee for my steam shower unit. ODI and its employees were always courteous, professional, took exceptional pride in the quality of work that they performed. (ODI's subcontractors were not as exceptional, but it was explained to me that those exceptional subcontractors charge big $$$ which, in turn, would prevent ODI from being price competitive.) ODI provided full customer satisfaction even if it required re-work on the part of a subcontractor. ODI was easy to work with and the payment schedule was reasonable in that I paid for work after it was completed. (Note that some contractors submitted proposals requiring $10-15 K before showing up to do anything). The BOTTOM LINE is that I am very pleased with the work that was performed and the price that I paid. I recommend ODI for home improvement projects without reservation."

"They lied to us and underbidded. They didn't perform the work that they said they would. We had to hire someone else at a greater expense. They said things were done when they weren't in order to correct their draws. They didn't put quality work in. The general contractor was rarely on site. They left our house open for three weeks to the elements and had two ceilings fall and had water in three other rooms. This started in February and ended...yesterday. We came home at night to find our doors open with no one inside. They lost our keys and it took a few weeks for us to get our alarm systems back. They didn't use proper precautions and we were scared our child would get
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
poisoning. The structure is unsound so we have to get the whole thing rebuilt. They also took things off of our property without asking, like our boiler. They also put up old siding and used demo materials to rebuild.

"I just joined Angie's list and saw that
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was listed and wanted to add our review. An amazing experience! From start to finish,
Norfolk Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
Gogarty was great. Really listened to what we wanted and designed accordingly. A real collaboration of our wishes and his expertise and contractors. We were in on every decision beforehand, so that nothing had to be redone, it was right from the start. We still call him for recommendations for individual contractors, as we were so impressed with the people he contracted with for our jobs. We have already recommended him and will definitely use him again."
