"They did the entire remodeling. They did great work. I liked their responsiveness and their subcontractors. They were on schedule which I was concerned about because it was such a big job but they definitely remained on schedule. They were very professional and the finished product was very good. I recommend them to others. "

"The work was initially done very poorly by a different contractor and we hired
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
to fix those mistakes. His name was given to me by That Cabinet Place and he was excellent. I would definitely hire him again."

Tips for installing a new water heater

Dear Angie: What are the key questions to ask for installing a water heater? We are contacting three or four plumbers for prices and want to ask the appropriate questions to compare and get the work done.

Plumbing: A simple leak test can help reduce your water bill

A high water bill is a reliable indicator of a hidden plumbing water leak. A highly rated Washington, D.C.-area plumber tells you how a simple leak detection test can help you find the likely culprit.

Troubleshooting frequent sump pump failure

Angie's List member Margaret H. of Glen Ellyn, Ill., replaced her sump pump because the backup pump kept overriding the primary pump.

Dear Angie: We’ve had to replace several sump pumps in just a few years and I’m wondering why. Is there a type of sump pump that would work best in a narrow pit? Is the narrow pit the reason the sump pumps are running often?

"Scheduled to show up at 0830 but no one had arrived by 0900. However, when we called the company they checked and the first plumber was there within the next 10 minutes. They ended up having three different plumbers working different parts of the job (multiple tubs). The work was done exactly as described and everything works great. After the work was done one of the tub faucets still leaked and the last plumber left took the time to take them apart again and finish the work until it was right."

"We had several plumbers tell us that they could not locate the leak, even though there was a moist area on an exterior wall under the kitchen window.
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
accurately predicted the problem and had to remove siding on the house to get to the drain that was buried between two walls. He completed the repair the same day and was very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend him and will certainly call him again for any other plumbing problems."

"I called around 11:00 explaining what I needed to get done, and that I wanted it done ASAP. The receptionist was extremely courteous, and told me that they would be able to get someone out by 2 PM. They called around 12:30 and told me the repairman was leaving for my place, and he wound up showing up a little past 1:30. He gave me an estimate, which I accepted, and he immediately started work. He did the work properly, cleaned up after himself, and charged me what he estimated. The shower works now!"

"ODI was selected from Angie's List. ODI was one of 13 contractors considered for my home renovation project, but the ONLY one that focused on Customer Satisfaction. ODI was also the only one to take full responsibility for acquiring, installing, and providing warrantee for my steam shower unit. ODI and its employees were always courteous, professional, took exceptional pride in the quality of work that they performed. (ODI's subcontractors were not as exceptional, but it was explained to me that those exceptional subcontractors charge big $$$ which, in turn, would prevent ODI from being price competitive.) ODI provided full customer satisfaction even if it required re-work on the part of a subcontractor. ODI was easy to work with and the payment schedule was reasonable in that I paid for work after it was completed. (Note that some contractors submitted proposals requiring $10-15 K before showing up to do anything). The BOTTOM LINE is that I am very pleased with the work that was performed and the price that I paid. I recommend ODI for home improvement projects without reservation."

"Our shower faucet had been leaking for almost two months. Thinking I might need a new handle or spout I purchased a
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
replacement kit with handle/shower head and spout for possible installation. I called
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
told him the problem and asked if he could schedule a morning service call because of my work schedule. He was very accommodating and was able to come to the house as planned. The day of service he called ahead of time to confirm the address and arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time. After I showed him the leaking shower faucet he quickly assessed it and said that the repair wouldn't require the kit I purchased. That he would be able to replace the internal components for a lot less than installing the kit. However he was still able to give me quote for the kit installation if I chose to do so at a later time. I truly appreciated his money saving advice. Afterwards, he went right to work and completed the job in 20 minutes and left a clean tub. As a returning customer of
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
's, I regret not calling him 2 months ago when I first noticed the leak. He has first rate service and does a first rate job.

"Only thing I would suggest is be aware that scheduler will call and ask if you are available during the two hour time window you scheduled. I was in the shower and missed the scheduler's call, so the first crew got sent to someone else. Dispatcher called later in the day within 1.5 hours and scheduled a new time. Just be sure to be available to receive dispatcher's call. "

called ahead and arrived on time. Quickly assessed what he needed to complete the various jobs and got to work straight away.
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
was concerned about repairing a water pipe over the hard wood floor. After discussion with my wife and examination of the leak, he found the appropriate approach to the job. He quickly finished all the above jobs. I probably could have found a cheaper plumber, but I wanted the job done right. My peace of mind was worth the price."

"8/7/08
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
responded to a call regarding a leak under the kitchen sink, a non functioning filtered water (GE Smartwater) system and a leaking toilet. The leak in the kitchen sink was due to a faulty pull out faucet that was leaking back through the pull out hose under the sink. The filtered water system was blocked in the housing part through which the water flowed.
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
recommended we purchase a non-pullout faucet and another water filter system. He was able to correct the leaking toilet by replacing the flush valve. 9/4/08
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
came back to replace the kitchen faucet which we had purchased. We decided not to replace the filter system (which

removed) and installed the sprayer that came with the faucet.
Norfolk Plumbers Provider Name Locked
and his Dad are wonderful. Responsive, prompt and really know plumbing. The charges were very fair - the faucet job was less than he had previously quoted because he was able to do the job without removing the garbage disposal. I will definitely call him in the future!
