"Dr.
Norfolk Dentists Provider Name Locked
is very thorough. He doesn?t try to over sell things like a lot of dentists who do. He seems to be very honest. He has done crowns for me. He has done all kinds of work. He is very accommodating and competent. The only drawback is that he is probably 20 miles from where I live. I would use his services in the future too."

"Didn't go well. According to two other dentists I followed up with, the bite guard wasn't necessary. Looking at the x-rays taken by Dr. K's assistant, that Dr. K. said showed two cavities that need fillings, another dentists I saw said the x-rays show no cavities or need for fillings. Fortunately, I didn't have them done by Dr. K. The temp. crown on tooth #3, made and put in by an assistant, not Dr. K. or another dentist, was too large at first and caused discomfort. I went back and another assistant took it out--with great difficulty and after several attempts--and reshaped it and make it smaller and put it back. After a few days, tooth #4, in front of the temp. crown tooth #3, became painful. I went back several times about tooth #4 during the 3 month period I had the temp. crown on tooth #3. Every time, Dr. K. drilled and reshaped tooth #4 and said it would be OK. The pain in tooth #4, however, recurred. The first time I had an appt. for the new crown on tooth #3, in early Sept., about 3 months after the temp. crown was put in, the new crown hadn't come in. No one called me and cancelled the appt. beforehand. I came back two weeks later and Dr. K. put in the new crown on tooth #3 and said with the new crown on tooth #3, the pain in tooth #4 should go away. The pain in tooth #4 in front of the new crown persisted. I went to another dentist, who took X-rays of tooth #4, saw an infection, performed a root canal and put me on an antibiotic. Unfortunately, the pain in tooth #4 has returned. The dentist who did the root canal, and the dentist I saw in Reston, VA, for 20 years before moving to Suffolk, have both told me that chances are tooth #4 is cracked and will have to be extracted. They have also told me that tooth #4 may have been cracked when the temp. crown was taken off because it was too large, because taking it off was so difficult, requiring several attempts and a lot twisting and pulling on the temp. crown, which could've cracked tooth #4 in front of it. In any event, even if Dr. K.'s assistant didn't crack tooth #4 , Dr. K. ordered a bite guard I didn't need, ordered 2 fillings I didn't need and fortunately didn't get, and didn't diagnose the infection in tooth #4 despite seeing me several times over the summer about the pain in that tooth. Also, it took over 3 months to get the permanent crown, and the first time I was supposed to get it put in, it wasn't there. I did my homework before seeing Dr. K. He has a good reputation overall. Unfortunately, he was least effective dentist I've ever encountered."

"My experiences at Dr.
Norfolk Dentists Provider Name Locked
's office have been pleasant. He gave me a very educational presentation about flossing, and introduced me to a different kind of floss that does a great job of removing plaque. When he replaced my filling he was deft with the Novocaine needle and I hardly felt it. There was no waiting time at all for either appointment, so I didn't get to read all the good magazines in the waiting room (he had an excellent selection)."
