Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up right away to bid the job. He was punctual and friendly. The work crew showed up to do the work on time and work was performed on a very hot day on my south facing driveway. They completed the work in a timely manner. Both areas have remained at the proper level for two summers. I felt the cost was reasonable and they were professional.

I looked through Angie's List and got quotes from three different companies which ranged widely. I decided to get another quote from CLI which was more in line with the lower quote. All but one seemed to use the same material and process and CLI was the lowest quote so I decided to go with them. Before scheduling the work, I received a text from CLI with a discount, which further confirmed by decision. The workers showed up on time and answered all of my questions (I tend to ask a lot of questions). They had to drill holes in the corners of several slabs in order to raise the steps and slabs so that the drainage would go away from the house. After raising the slabs, they filled in the holes with cement. The cemented holes do look quite different than the existing cement, but I knew that going into the work and it would have been much more expensive to remove/pour new slabs. Overall, professional and good pricing make for a winning combination.

The guys at
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
were excellent. I want to start by saying we had an estimate for the same exact job to be performed by AAA Mudjacking which was for ~$3-3500. We had a second opinion completed by the folks at
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and their estimate was $750.00. They ended up billing us...$750.00.
The problem we had at our home was that the concrete slab in our livingroom had fallen around 1-2 inches. This created a large crack in the floor and caused the floor to be un-level. We were very concerned about this and were afraid we were going to need pylons installed under the house and the cost of many thousands of dollars. We had a structural enginneer out to look at the slab and he said that mudjacking is all that we needed.
We had to book about around 1 month to have the work down by
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
, but it was definitely worth the wait. On the day of the job, their entire team arrived on time and was very polite. They immediately assessed the job and each member of the 3 man team started to get to work. They all proceeded to continue working until the job was completed ~ couple hours. They kept my wife and I involved in the conversation and decision making throughout the process. They were very knowledgeable about their trade and took pride in doing a good job. We were very happy with the end result. They cleaned up everything when they were done and even offered to help us put the carpet back in place!
I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family, friends or neighbors in the future. I hope that we don't need their services again, but we would not use any other company in the future.

was very professional. Gave a VERY reasonable bid while explaining what would be done but also sharing concerns about how his product would work considering how cracked one section of the driveway was. He and his assistant arrived promptly for their appointment. They made every effort to remedy all of our settling problems; they did not give up easily when things didn't work quite right the first time. When done, they cleaned the driveway and sealed holes so well that we can hardly tell where they worked. Very easy to work with and personable--you will have a good experience if you select

So far I am very pleased. Only complaint is that they are so busy it took almost a month just to get an estimator out and then another month to get the work scheduled. But, they showed up as promised on the dates scheduled and worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after themselves. I saved 50% from the lowest cost quote to replace that I had. I was very impressed with how they covered the holes they drill. My drive and walk have an exposed aggregate finish, and they were able to match it so the holes blend in.

On 8/25/14, I signed a contract with Aztec and gave them 1/3 of the total cost of the repairs. I gave
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
a $4,200.00 cashiers check along with the contract. I was also informed that they wouldn't be able to start the job until 6 weeks from that date, and that at the start of work another 1/3 of the total cost would be needed.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
informed my wife and I that we had 3 days from the signing of the contract to cancel it and receive a full refund under state law. We were satisfied with that, and signed and
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
left. On 8/26/14, I did more research on the company and what other people have done. I also received lots of call backs from different companies that wanted to come give me an estimate. I was being bombarded with information and felt that I needed to cancel the contract due to the 3 day time constraint so that I could make a more informed decision before spending 12,500 with Aztec. I called
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
to let him know that I wanted to cancel and I wanted to gather more information before moving forward and hopefully sign another contract the following week.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
became irate with me over the phone and basically said that I don't trust him and he spent many hours at my house measuring my foundation, which he only spent a total of 30-45 minutes both inside and outside my home. He then went to tell me that he doesn't want to work with someone that he does not trust, and that he has plenty of other customers and doesn't need my business. I told him to wait, and let me contact my wife before I made a decision.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me back while I was speaking with my wife and asked if he could come over with his Supervisor,
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I agreed, and they arrived at my home in 10 minutes. Both
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
got out of their trucks and started walking to my property. As soon as I saw
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
coming onto my property, I told him to turn around and go back to his truck because I wanted to speak to Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
about his behavior. He did so, in a very rude manner and sat in his truck for 5 minutes and then took off in a very fast pace down my street where kids play. I spoke with Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and heard him out for about 20 minutes without interrupting. When he was done talking, I asked him if I ever interrupted him while he was talking, and he acknowledged that I didn't. I told him that
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
's behavior was unacceptable and asked if it was true that they DID NOT need my business and potentially 12,500 dollars. He said that he wanted and needed my business and that
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
would be reprimanded. At this time he gave me my cashiers check back and asked that I come out to a job site the next afternoon before cancelling the contract to see his work. I was not able to make it to the job site in time, and nobody was there when I got there. Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
never gave me his telephone number and would always call from a blocked number. I spoke with Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
previously in the day and told him verbally that I wished to cancel the contract and would like to wait til the following week to make my final decision. He kept pressing to get me to wait, and I asked him to please respect my request of cancellation. I gathered more information on this company, and apparently over the past years they have changed their names several times. Also, the physical address of their office is a run down house in the ghetto part of Harlingen. I went to that address to receive a notice of cancellation in writing so that I won't have to worry about them trying to say that I never cancelled the contract. I came to work and called the office number again to ask for Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
email address so that I could email him and have a paper trail that I cancelled the contract. The receptionist was rude and asked why I needed it and I told her the reason and she gave it to me. I emailed Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
so that I could have a paper trail for my records.
15 minutes after emailing Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
, I received a fax with a notice of cancellation. 15 minutes after receiving the fax he called me from a blocked phone number again. I answered and he sounded very agitated and asked what exactly was my problem and what did I want from him. I told him I just wanted a notice of contract cancellation and I had already received it.
I advise ANYONE looking to use this company to PLEASE do your research!!!! This is a lot of money for me to spend, and both
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Mr.
Norfolk Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
's unprofessionalism really sealed the deal for me not going with their company. They bad mouthed other companies, bad mouthed the structural engineer that I was going to hire, and basically bad mouthed myself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research. Yes, they are on Angies list, but look at their track record before then and how many times they have changes their company name. I also found it odd that when I was calling other companies in Harlingen, such as A-Advance and A-1, and A-Affordable, ALL OF THEM HAD THE SAME RECEPTIONIST ANSWERING THE PHONE. I am glad that I chose not to go with this company, and I hope you do your research before you invest your hard earned money on them.

It went great. The office called me the previous day as a reminder and specified a time (9am). Two guys actually showed up 25 min early!! When does that ever happen with contractors? This is the 3rd time over a 15 year span that I have had the patio raised and the first time in 27 years for the driveway. If your concrete is still in fairly good shape I would highly recommend this "mud jacking" as opposed to pouring a new concrete slab, You can save yourself tons of $$$$$$ and who doesn't like doing that? The only negative is that there is a series of small (about 1 12" in diameter) that need to be drilled through the concrete so that the "mud" can get down under the slab and lift it up. They then clean the mud from the hole and patch it with a concrete/portland mix to blend in with the cement but of course it won't match perfectly but over many years it does start to become less noticeable for sure.
You also have to wait 24 hrs before you can drive a car over it so the cars sit outside for one night, no big deal. The two man crew cleaned up after themselves, were very polite and professional. They also brought to my attention the Angies list discount when payment time approached. The biggest surprise was their reasonable price compared to the other estimate I got (almost 1/2 the cost) and in fact it was lower than I paid many years ago for just the patio. Those are nice surprises!!! If this lasts another 7 years which was the average between my patio mud jackings, it was money well spent and saved tons$$$$$

The project went well and was completed on time. The dimensions of the wall were a 2' x 8" thick footing. The wall was 8" thick the entire length. The first 80' was 4' in height, with the remaining length stepped up to a 2' high wall. The wall was constructed with 1/2" rebar placed vertically every 2' with 3 pieces of 1/2" rebar located within the footing and running the entire 128' length. The wall was done in a single pour using approximately 18 yds of 6 bag concrete. The work crew showed up on time ready to work. They did an outstanding job on my wall. They were courteous and respectful of my neighbors as to when they started and stopped their work day. The area was kept clean and clear of clutter and debris during the entire project. The area was left clean upon completion of the project. I would certainly hire them again without hesitation for any future retaining wall projects I may have.

The estimator showed up on time. The day before they were scheduled to perform the work, someone called to verify time. The employees showed up on time. Great, friendly and knowledgeable employees. They did great work and the driveway and sidewalk look so much better now. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

Able gave a detail quote initially, with full explanation of work to be preformed and how he would do it. When given the job, he showed exactly on time, went right to work, did exactly what he said he would do and cleaned perfectly before he left.
I intend to hire him for other small concrete work in my newlypurchased home. Pleasant personality and very knowledgeable in this business.
