"Bill and his team were very professional in every phase of the work provided. Bill was helpful up-front, provided us ideas for redesigning our walkways and helped us understand their price implications. Once we decided what we wanted, his price quote was very competetitive compared with other estimates I'd received. His team was polite, friendly and very attentive to detail in finishing the project. I had the sense they wanted the very best driveway they could produce for us.
The driveway looks great. All-in-all, super work by

"To start with, the job was scheduled to begin on October 8, but as you may remember, we had a week of rain every day from October 7 - October 14. Every night from October 8 until the job finally started on October 15,

called with an update and to advise that the job had been pushed back one day. Finally, on October 15, the weather cooperated and

arrived promptly at 8 am as promised with his backhoe to break up and remove the damaged part. The next day, October 16, the concrete was poured, and he was meticulous in smoothing the job making sure to remove any stray pine needles that dropped. When he finished, he carefully roped off the new portion of the driveway with orange streamers to prevent any accidental usage of that area. On October 17 he came back to clean the small amount of debris next to the driveway, remove the boards supporting the new concrete, and add a couple of expansion cuts. He even brushed off the pine straw that had fallen overnight! I have a large flower bed directly next to the work that was done, and you can barely tell that the ground has been disturbed. The driveway looks great, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing concrete work done.

"I made the call and the office and the manager was extremely helpful and courteous. She treated me with utmost respect and attention. Her question about my house allowed her to give me an accurate extimate. They gave me a courtesy call the day prior and arrived on time, in uniform on the assigned day. The entire experience was totally positive."

"Not good - at all!! Initial estimate varied wildly from final invoice. Job was supposed to start in May, but because the backhoe was damaged job began 29

(why not rent something and continue working?). The workmanship of the job itself has flaws. The concrete has a dimpling appearance; there are ribbons of brick across the driveway and sidewalk - the mortar on one of the larger ribbons across the driveway cracked within several weeks and where the apron meets the

there's a chunk of concrete missing. I brought those issues up to Bill and to date (5 months later) - none of these issues have been resolved. we've had at least four snows and I'm concerned about water freezing in that mortar crack and damaging the driveway. My irrigation system was severely damaged to include my well, five sprinklers and the pump (over $1500 damage and we're still not through). This remains an opened-ended situation. I would not recommend MuddMan to anyone.

"This job was botched. There are streaks in the overlay color. Color was not applied correctly. There are footprints in the concete. It took months to get this patio completed. There were various excuses, some legit (having to do with very hot weather, so concrete would dry too quickly) but not months worth of excuses. Our contractor was wonderful and negotiated the price so we did not pay for labor. I understand our crew is no longer employed by this company. I also know several people who are very pleased with the work done for them by this company. Our terrible experience is an exception. Still we have to live with this ugly patio until we can afford to hire someone to redo it."

"On the day of the job, they arrived on time and worked very hard-cleaned up work area, etc. The job had an amazing potential of being a glowing experience. Unfortunately, the finished product has a good portion of damage. Our driveway is on a slope, and what I am left with is that top part of the driveway has the desired look of the stamping but the concrete on the lowest part needs either to be redone or repairing-the stamping intention is absent in in several areas and there are patches in which the concrete seems to have bumbled up, and they left a hand print in the concrete. In addition to 20 or more calls either speaking to him and/or leaving a message - He and I had arranged to meet 3 times, he never showed for any or called to inform me that he was not showing up. The first time we were supposed to meet was for a 12:15 appt. I mention the time because as I was leaving to pick up my kids at 11:50 am, he/his crew came to my house cleaned up the remainder of the area and then left. Needless to say I was perturbed when returning for my 12:15 appt- to not have him here, When I phoned him-he informed me that he waited 4 minutes and then left. (By the way I was at the house by the appointed time). So, unfortunately I have been abused by 2 driveway contractors. Its unfortunate that companies think so little of their reputation. If you meet

, you would like him but just be warned he does not stand by his work. My next step is legal action.

"They were professional and on time. The price seemed to be fair. The crew needed to be monitored, so I stood there and watched. It had to be so wide. I was glad I was there to monitor."

"The driveway looks really good and I have no concerns as everything turned out just fabulous. The men who did this work were very professional. I really thought the price was below average for this type of work. I am just pleased that it all worked out so well. I definitely give them a good recommendation."

"Bottom line: Driveway looks good. Warning to residents: Contract is the worst contract I have ever read. In summary, by signing this company's contract, the homeowner is legally responsible for the CORRECT installation of the driveway. Homeowner is also responsible for getting permit ($30) which adds insult to injury. The contract was ambiguous and missing key installation points (e.g. compaction, grading and thickness). It states the company is not responsible for damages to underground utilities and that the concrete is not guaranteed against cracking. Company also failed to call Miss Utility prior to excavating and was LUCKY not to damage underground utilities or injure someone. The company had a lot of shady excuses when I asked questions. Being an engineer, I knew what to look for while I closely watched the driveway installation. Do you?"
