"I have used them at two different locations but this review is on the
location. When I was buying bicycles from them everything was good until they damaged my" vehicle. They did a bunch of things wrong at the end there. They did not know what they were doing with the bike rack that goes into my trailer hitch. It was just complete junk that kept damaging my truck and putting dents in my tailgate. I spent hours there trying to get this corrected and they have been giving me the runaround ever since. I have taken them in an estimate for the repairs and they told me to go get another estimate. Customer service is something to be desired there. Only certain places carry certain brands so I got stuck using them.

"Because the tune-up was on my new bike - that I bought from them, it was free. A full tune-up with no actual replacements is about $100. It is always good and if you are unhappy with" it, just take it back and they will tune it. I can always ride mine and if something is making a noise, I can just run in and they will look at it. They will adjust anything I want anytime. They are near my house and on my ride so I am in there frequently if I hear a noise I don't like or to adjust my seat.

, the Fitness Technician, identified the problem right away, performed the repair efficiently, answered questions, & couldn't have been more polite" and professional. Note: Purchased treadmill at
Fitness in 2005, spending more than I would have at retailers or discount stores, but the equipment quality and post-sale customer service have been worth it.

Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
was AWESOME! I feel like it such a blessing to have found
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
. I had emailed a bike club in town to recommend someone and the president of the Asheville bike club recommended
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
at Bikeworks. First, I loved that he came out to me versus my having to take the time to bring my bikes into a bike shop. Second, I felt great trustyworthiness from
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
- he's just an all around wonderful person. Third, the prices were fantastic for the work he was doing. Fourth, the quality of work he did on my 4 bicycles was great. I can't recommend him highly enough if you want someone you can trust in both price and quality of work, as well as working with a really good person - what a good soul. I was so impressed so I wanted to take the effort to post this here so that others can know.

Great prices and people. In the past, I have had my bikes serviced at various bike shops and the prices here were the best. Love their shop and the people are really into what the do. A mom-and-pop shop type of feeling. Convenient and central location.

Amazingly fast turn-around. If you love your bike, you will love this shop.

I visited this bike shop for the first time. I purchased my own handlebar tape and decided, instead of attacking the job by myself, that I should let a shop do it. I also needed to ship my bicycle to Europe and asked for them to pack it up.
The front desk person and the mechanic were fantastic. I dropped the bike off.
When I went to pick the bike up, the price was over double what I expected. I asked for clarification. I didn't think to bring my copy of the paperwork, so I let the transaction go through.
I came home, looked for my paper work, and called asking for clarification again, a second time, this time armed with my receipts given to me at drop off.
That's when things got ugly. The person on the phone started to argue with me about what was written on my copy of the receipt, who wrote it and how it was written. The person on the phone admitted that the price in their computer system was one thing (the price quoted to me) and the price on the back wall that the mechanic goes by is another thing. He also admitted that items at different prices than what were quoted, were added to the receipt after they gave me my copy at drop off. I have my paperwork, filled out by them, in my hand as I write this review to prove it.
The person on the phone did not handle me professionally. It started out being about the discrepency between what I was quoted and what I was charged. As I was on the phone hearing this man's attitude, instead of being nice to a confused customer, he made me feel lower than dirt for pointing out their errors.
Despite the mechanic being top notch and the first front desk person being great, I can NOT recommend this place at all. A bike shop can't quote one thing, charge another, and then when asked for clarification, instead of trying to create a

with the customer, make the customer feel like a jerk for opening his mouth. That behavior is not okay. It's not okay at all.
From now on, I'll travel the longer distance to get my bike serviced at the bike shop in my old neighborhood than go back into this bike shop again.

Even though the bike shop indicated that they fixed the flat tire on my bike and performed a tune up, I experienced another flat tire upon riding the bike home. I took the bike to a different bike shop after that and the other bike shop confirmed that the bike needed a new rim strip and that the previous bike shop (
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
) should have replaced the rim strip. After finding out this news, my wife called the manager at
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
who was unfortunately very rude and not responsive to the concern that they did not adequately repair the flat / fix the bike. She then asked for the owner (
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
) to call her and speak with her about the issue. The owner never called back and when my wife repeatedly called back and finally was able to get a hold of the owner, he was also very rude and ended up hanging up the phone on her. Both my wife and I want to be very supportive of local bike shops, but unfortunately, the
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
does not provide good customer service nor proper bike repair services. In light of this, I would strongly recommend that people avoid taking their bikes or purchasing items from this bike shop.

Poor service. Sales person was not least bit helpful. Other employees in the store at the time didn't seem to care.

After a week long enjoying the Surly LHT DIsc
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
(Highly recommend it), i returned back to
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
and noticed that the rear tire fender was broken. I took it bike to the sthop for advise on how to exchange it via warranty. Note the fender was not more than 2 weeks old since I had ICS install it. The owner promised to take pictures and send them to the Manufacturer. In the interim, i asked them to go ahead and exchange the fenders and place new racks at a total cost of additional $500. At that point, i had spent around $2000 in that store. When I got back to pick it up I was informed that the manufacturer declined the warranty. I was shocked since any other store would have replaced the fender without any hassles. Disappointed, I went back home and after talking with another bike store they recommended I reach out to the manufacturer directly. Long story short, the ICS store owner simply lied to me and never bothered even asking for a fender replacement.
The fender manufacturer sent me a replacement after I had sent them images of the broken fender with no questions asked and apologized on behalf of the ICS store. I tried to contact the store owner to get an answer, and his comments basically said he decided that I had broken the fender and that was that.
I ended up purchasing a SECOND Surly LHT bicycle from
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
at significant reduced price and would never ever go back to this store. Bottom line there are multiple better bicycle stores around
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
and this one truly deserves the F I am granting them.

I was looking for a crusier type bike for myself to be able to ride comfortably when my wife rides her bike.
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
our salesperson, was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgable. He spent quite a bit of time helping with this decision, offering suggestions and ideas that I would not otherwise thought of. Two weeks later, the seat just didn't feel right. I stopped by and they told me to bring the bike in and they help determine a fix. The next day, I took the bike back and
Norfolk Bicycle Repair Provider Name Locked
quickly helped with another seat. Within 15 minutes I was trying this out. He mentioned that if this did not work that I might want to consider riding pants that has a cushion that might help. Not only did he provide great customer service but after I took my trial ride, he came out and loaded the bike into my SUV. While making my initial purchase we saw several customers come in and all were treated the same way. This is why I will go back for any of our biking needs. One great team at the Trek store in

and one great sales person -
