"They were fantastic. They came exactly when they said they would. They checked out the house and gave us an estimate which was fine. They also cleaned up after themselves. They put everything back where it belonged and everything was great. I was amazed at how well they did the job. They cleaned a rocking chair, an automated chair, and also our dining room chairs. They also cleaned three rugs; two low piles and one shag. "

"I had a very pleasant overall experience and the items were cleaned well. The process began with a home visit by 2 people who looked at the items and estimated the cost. They offered and advised me about some extra bells whistles that could be added to the basic cleaning but didn't push me into getting extras that I didn't want. They noticed the 2 cats in the apartment and recommended a coating that would help with dander. The final bill was the same as the estimate. The staff was very professional and courteous. They gave me a window of time for delivery but at the end of the window of time I received a very polite and apologetic call from a customer service person explaining that the previous job was running late and that my delivery would be delayed. They offered to re-schedule. But, because I had paid in full and have a valet service in my building they agreed to leave the delivery downstairs so i wasn't trapped indoors indefinitely. When I returned home, I had a voice-mail from the delivery people letting me know they had made the delivery. The cleaning was very thorough and as good as could be, given that some of the items had some pretty bad stains. I was very pleased to discover this company on Angie's list and will be using it again. It is always great to find a company that acts like it honestly cares about serving its customers."

"I was able to make an appointment to have someone come the very next day. The cleaner showed up on time and provided the services requested. I felt their prices were a bit high, but the service provided was good. I would recommend

"They did a beautiful job and really worked well. The stain was red wine on a white sofa which is the worst combination and they were able to totally remove the stain by cleaning the entire sofa. They said that they could not do spot removal because it would cause different coloring in the area. When I called for an appointment they came the next day. They moved quickly and did a very good job. I would definitely recommend them to any others."

"They brought the rugs back in great condition and they made sure to wrap them up so that they didn't get dirty on the way back to me and I really liked that. The price is reasonable and they did a good job. The did what I wanted right away and I liked them."

"Because our new puppy had been soiling a stairway runner and some throw rugs, we called Brite for help after seeing their ad in the VIllage newspaper. They did a very good job on the stairway and successfully upsold us for additional upholstery cleaning. Again, they did a good job. But the four rugs they took back to their factory for cleaning were a different story. They had promised to return them within 4-6 weeks but that turned into 4 months! And they lost one of our rugs, an antique Moroccan rug worth about $1,000. After not showing up for several delivery dates, causing us great inconvenience, they finally returned our rugs. But they tried to fool us by sending back another rug that obviously wasn't ours and of much less quality and value. When confronted, they admitted that our rug was lost and suggested that we accept their junky rug as compensation. We refused and asked for $1,250 -- $1,000 for our lost rug and the $250 cost of cleaning a rug that we never got back. They offered $500 and, after weeks of wrangling and runaround, they begrudgingly came up to $700. Exhausted by all of their shenanigans, I accepted. I just purchased a replacement rug so I am out-of-pocket $500 because of Brite. I will never use them again. Aside from their deceptiveness throughout this episode, I think they are very overpriced (I got another puppy-stained rug, similar to the one they lost, cleaned recently for $100). Good workmanship is not enough. Honesty, timeliness and honorableness (you'd think that, on a $3,000 total order, they could have give me the $1250 we were entitled to and still made a profit on us!) also matter. In sum: When it comes to Brite, buyer beware!"

"A team of two young men arrived slightly after the slotted time of "between 8-9 AM Saturday morning". Only one came in and stayed while the other went back and forth to the truck to avoid tickets (which they told me they have to pay for). Both men were quite young, but extremely nice and courteous. When the man doing the shampooing started to work on my furniture, there was quite a bit of water on the floor and wooden arms of my chairs. I had to get a dish towel and a mop and wipe up water as he worked. He finished very quickly and although he was extremely nice, he was not very thorough. The second guy came back to help load up the equipment. When they left, my bath tub was dirty where they had dumped out the water from the machine. There were still some stains on the chairs (which I got out myself after they left) and there was still cat hair on my sofa frame. I would not use them again. Their very courteous attitude did not make up for the quality of their work."

"The two workers arrived in the time frame estimate. I was given a time of 4:30 to 7:00 pm and they arrived around 4:50pm. They were efficient and would have been finished in about an hour but then they asked me if I wanted "Scotchguard" fabric protector. When I called to arrange the appointment time I was not told the company offered "Scotchguard", but the worker offered it at an additional fee, which I agreed to as I had good results with it previously. This took a bit longer because the worker had to go back to his vehicle to get the machine. The job took about and hour and a half total which is what was estimated at the time of the booking. I was a using a sale coupon which gave me a price of $111.00 for a six foot sofa and $42.00 for a chair. I had to pay an additional $12.50 because my sofa measured six and a half feet. I would use this service again."

"Two men with a large machine arrived on time and explained the procedure they would follow. They stayed for about an hour and left the furniture looking like new. I was concerned because the fabric seemed like a velvet that would be hard to clean but they did a very good job."

"I have filed a complaint with the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs and will be pursuing this company, through my insurance carrier, for full reimbursement of reupholstered charges. The DC told me it will take awhile for them to investigate. Apparently this is not the first complaint received about this company, which seriously needs to be put out of business - I have never encountered such unethical business practices."
