"They are well known. I have been satisfied. They usually send the same person which is very nice. He is very nice. They are reliable and they come when they say they are going to. They are responsive and professional. They are on my list and I use them whenever I need them. They are a big company and they have offices all over. It's not just a local person you are hiring to do the job. You probably can find somebody cheaper to do it, but they are the ones I have dealt with so I can't compare the price."

"Re: with & Shrub Inc.
Rating: Extremely Dissatisfied
We have a large old cherry tree in the small backyard of our townhouse. The low branches of this tree provided shade and a screen from our neighbor’s house in the back. Every two or three years we “top” it.
We looked up references on ServiceMagic and hired from & Shrub based in Brooklyn, NY. He was hired to cut six feet from the top of the tree. The contract said that he is doing the work. His men, who spoke little English, arrived one and a half hours late for the appointment on Saturday afternoon. Mr. was not present to do the work or supervise the work. My husband repeated the instructions (to cut 6 feet from the top of the tree) to each of the two men. My husband went to open the gate of the next door neighbor to remove the debris. When he returned five or ten minutes later, all the lower branches of the tree had been cut off!! The result is that we have a bare , no screen from neighbors and little shade. We feel that our tree has been ruined. Contrary to what Mr. claims, the cut off branches will not grow back.

"Got 's name off Angie's list. Called him at 12:30. He met me at my house at 6 the same day. He was willing to meet at my convenience, but I had to complete a day's work. We talked about what I wanted and what he suggested. Communication was not a problem. He gave me an estimate and allowed me to pick the day and time. He showed up two days later, as scheduled, and made everything look incredible. He came after I had left in the morning. He met me at my house after work and we went over what he did. I paid him and will definitely hire him again when the time comes."

"Excellent work ...they came prepared with all right equipment, and did a really amazing cleanup. Couldn't have asked for a better result and an excellent price.
The neighbors were so impressed they hired them on the spot to do work in their yard."

"I have been employing them for a number of year and altogether have been satisfied. Their empployees are well trained and professional, as far as I can tell since I am never home when they come, but the work which appears to be well done in a timely fashion. I have been pleased with the results and the paper work is promptly and accurately handled."

" responded promptly to my initial call. He was delayed by just a few minutes in making that appointment but took the time to pull off the road to call and tell me he would be five minutes late. He has a pleasant manner and is confidence inspiring.
A branch had fallen off one of our large trees. looked at the fallen branch and said the tree was in good shape but should be pruned every five years. He explained the rational of removing "suckers" and thinning the crown to present less resistance to the wind. His explanation of what needed made sense. We looked over the property and at my suggestion we included a second slightly smaller but still substantial tree. I pointed to some straggly evergreens that were hanging over the driveway and he graciously said he would trim those without additional charge.
faxed me a copy of his insurance coverage the next day.
Four men appeared promptly on the appointed day. The supervisor was a young man as pleasant as had been. The tree climber was nimble and self assured. The other two helpers efficiently secured the ropes and removed branches as necessary. The entire four man crew worked seamlessly and efficiently. They continuously cleared and cleaned. They ground the debris as they worked.
Before the job was completed arrived as the supervisor had said he would. told me that he took pride that when a job was finished everything would be removed and that looking at the ground it would not be apparent that any tree work had been done. He and his crew did exactly that.
My neighbor and I share a line marked by evergreens. One of them had died and I told him I would ask to cut it down if it wasn't over $100. I had forgotten that and mentioned it to just as the men where finishing up, he smiled, said there would be no additional charge and had it down and hauled away in no time flat.
I did not check prices ($500 for the very, very large oak; $400 for large one). Considering the time spent - several men, several hours I am sure it is fair and competitive. Considering the highly professional and satisfactory work it was a good deal.
I would have no reservation recommending and have already told several neighbors of my positive experience."

"Same as above. The workers arrived exactly on time. The limbs were very close to the house and they had to be very careful when removing them so that there would be no damage to my house or the neighbors. They worked very meticulously and carefully and I was 100% thrilled with the outcome of the job."

"I called the company and made an appointment for a licensed arborist to come and see both trees and evaluate the health of the trees. Mr. came and told me the kind of trees they were. Had a good discussion about what needs to get down, the process that his company does and I liked what I heard. That first visit and estimate was free. I had called two other arborists before, that would have charged just to come see the trees. My communication with at office to get proposed contract and schedule was a pleasure. The day of the removal: Five men from came at 8:20am. They started working right away and one could see that they knew how to work together. Great communication between themselves, which assured their safety and the care and safety of the property and neighboring yards. They had both trees down in less than 4 hours and it took as long to clear it out of the yard. They left everything clean and clear of all debris. This was a very BIG and hard job and they made it look easy."

"This is the third job we've had done by this company. is extremely knowledgeable about trees and their condition, and honest about what can and cannot reasonably be done. He and his crew come when scheduled and do the job as stated, and clean up meticulously. They are extremely conscientious, to the point of coming to check on the condition of the planted trees, unasked, during a particularly bad heat spell, when we were out of town. We strongly recommend this company. Worth every penny."

" called back within a few hours of my first phone message and arranged to come in and look at the job the next day. He arrived quite promptly and, although his estimate was not the lowest, his price was in range and he had come prepared to do the work immediately (with a colleague). I immediately felt confident in his professionalism. They completed the work in 2 hours and did a good job of tidying up my garden afterwards. They had to cut the tree and branches up into small pieces and carry it all out through the apartment and they did this without any damage or mess inside. Throughout, I felt very comfortable having and his team in my home."
