My husband's recovery is going very well. He operates in NY and in Westchester but he is still punctual. He is very nice. You never wait very long for your appointments. His surgeries are very minimal and he makes sure he is certain of the procedure he needs to perform. He is very concerned with making sure you are not in pain. He is also very good at keeping family informed.

I've had 4 hip surgeries that were done by another doctor who moved to California. Every doctor there is exceptionally good. He answers questions very quickly and thoroughly. He just knows what's going on. He is tops. He doesn't hem and haw before he answers a question. I usually make appointments months in advance. I've never had an emergency. He is there when I go in for my appointments. The office is a hospital environment and there is nothing plush. It is clean and sterile. He share the offices for seeing patients with other doctors. The office is run efficiently. I have no problems. This hospital is the top for joint diseases. The billing is a mess but that is the whole hospital and has nothing to do with the doctor.

I had a great experience with a total knee replacement. I would highly recommend. The staff and hospital were great and efficient.

Although Dr. Fragomen was late for the appointment, the nurse kept me apprised of his arrival. When he arrived, he took his time and spent a long time getting my history and doing the actual examination. There was no sense of him being rushed and he was extremely thorough in his examination of my shoulder an arm. Throughout the examination he explained what he was doing, why, and the reasons for why he was doing it. Conveniently the Radiology suite was close by and I was able to expedite my scans he wanted done. Dr. Fragomen prescribed a treatment plan and I followed up on it and checked back with him in a few weeks. At that time he made a modification of my treatment based on additional data and I am currently following it successfully. I recommend Dr. Fragomen highly for his attention to detail and careful and thorough examination and diagnosis skills.

The standards are very high there. They solve complicated othropedic cases. The staff is excellent. My wife had an excellent result of her surgery. It is one of the best hospitals in the country. We would continue to go to them in the future too.

He is absolutely wonderful. I had knee replacement done. After that I had muscle infection. In my groin and that was cleared. Eight months later they had to remove my knee replacement. Then they put spacers with antibiotic. This infection I had was totally unrelated to the knee replacement. His office is wonderful I would continue to see him.

The experience was terrible. Dr.

was very nice and polite to me in his office but things quickly changed. In his office, he recommended a major procedure for me to fix my knee in three places and said the chances of the surgery fixing my knee completely were 90-95%. I was excited about this possibility but wanted to get another opinion about it. I went to see another doctor (a colleague of his) and he disagreed with Dr.

's opinion and recommended a conservative approach (physical therapy) before operating. This doctor indicated that the procedure Dr.

recommended doesn't work in more than half the cases and he would never recommend it in my case. I asked this doctor to consult with Dr.

about me and then to please call me. He agreed. Several days later I received a note from Dr.

rescinding his recommendation to operate, saying that he now agreed with the other doctor to take a conservative approach. I wrote back to him asking him when I could call him to discuss this or if he could please call me. He wrote an email to his assistant, but sent it to me by mistake. In the email he told her not to give me an appointment but that he'd "endure this over the phone." I sent him a note back indicating that he meant to send the note to his assistant but sent it to me by mistake. When he didn't call me for a few days and I followed up with his assistant, Dr.

eventually called me and was very gruff and rude. He didn't acknowledge or apologize for the email fiasco or take responsibility for the fact that I might have undergone surgery unnecessarily. First, it is really scary that someone who was so pro-surgery changed his mind so quickly. If I had taken his advice, I would have gone through a radical procedure - and perhaps even ended up worse off than the way I started. Second, after this whole thing with the differing opinions, it was so rude of him to refer to speaking with me about it as something he had to "endure." It was amazing how nice he was to me when he thought I could possibly be a surgical candidate and pay him for those services. Suddenly when I no longer offered that to him, I was a nuisance (when he should have been very happy to explain to me the reasons for his new recommendation). This whole experience was very offensive to me and to my family and I wanted to make sure that others knew about it before going to see Dr.
