"Home remodeling and changes should be fun and hassle free. Working with Bill is exactly that - he has a can do attitude for everything. He really enjoys what he does, is a true professional, and is a full pleasure to work with. The entire job was 100% custom and made to order to specifications that I designed. He had previously done the custom closet work for me so this was my "phase 2" with him. The project took a couple of months from design to (offsite carpentry) build, to install. The actual install was a few weeks in December. Bill was very involved in the design process and very collaborative, was very honest and upfront about the costs and expense of what I wanted, and wasn't settling for "good enough" - really wanted things to come out exactly how I (and we) had imagined it. All-in-all Bill and his team at Oasis are just really good, honest, and hard working people. Totally responsive and A+ all the way...I'm kind of dissapointed that there aren't more large projects to work with him on...I don't think I'll ever call anyone else."

"Bill was referred to us by a friend who was extremely pleased with the work he did on their bathroom renovation. We originally consulted with him about our bathrooms but decided painting and lighting our main floor was more of a priority. I liked Bill right away. He really cared about our project and gave us thoughtful advice at every juncture. He was quick to respond to my phone calls and emails and always kept a good sense of humor (especially since all our meetings were attended by my curious toddler). He went out of his way to accommodate the window of time we needed to start the project (a house-sitting opportunity that would keep us out of the way) and when the time came he hired quality professionals who, without exception, did excellent work. The few inevitable hiccups were always quickly addressed. When it came to billing he was more than fair - and we were always happy to sign the checks because we were so thrilled with the results. Our home looks transformed! We are already planning to use him again when we renovate our bathrooms this summer."

"This work took almost nine hours and everything was done perfectly. is very workmanlike, and a true craftsman. He told me right away I didn't need to have my bathrooms regrouted entirely, just where the grout was dried up, which I really appreciated -- I thought it would be a much bigger job. I kept loading projects on him and he didn't seem to mind at all. He really knows how to fix things. I really got my money's worth. I plan to have him back again!"

"Overall, the job was of a very high quality and reflects the toil and taxation (pun intended) of the contractor and owner. Much thought and care was poured into each and every detail of this renovation, from sconce to shutter screw. Project began with a consultation and estimate and took roughly four months to complete, sensible for the scale of work. One early regret was not having ironed out each and every minute detail (fixtures, products, etc.) at the very beginning of the project. This delayed some things and occasionally caused between owner and contractor.
Perhaps the contractor's biggest asset besides his experience is that he works on one job at a time; he focused completely on my project, unlike most contractors of today. The job progressed relatively smoothly with the few usual snags of such a large scale (of an ironically small space) renovation. All issues were resolved in the end and the result is truly magnificent. A few things that said contractor could have improved upon were flexibility on design/product selection (which in the end, he was, but sometimes discussions prolonged the project) and a better scheduled/stricter payment plan as part of the contract. As previously mentioned, a full agreement on product/design selection from the beginning would have benefited both parties as resolving these issues during the process extended the completion date and often added unforeseen costs.
In sum, I would reiterate the words "truly magnificent," though even this phrase cannot begin to describe the of the completed space. The contractor's ideas and experience with old brownstones coupled with the owner's creativity created a singular place in Manhattan that is beyond simply a living space...it is an organic environment that resurrects the age upon which its design is based and, right down to each and every carefully chosen doorknob, showcases the owner and contractor's hard work, dedication, inspiration, and most of all: vision."

"The price was about $90000 for 575 square feet and it included everything. It turned out great and the guy we dealt with was good. I would definitely recommend him. They got everything done on time. They also followed up on any issues that came up afterwards without any problems. They cleaned up the general space of the building everyday. "

"At first I thought the estimate was high for the work, but then I got a second estimate from someone else which was MORE than double the amount. Once I saw that the work took about 7 hours altogether, I thought the price was actually good.
Installed track lighting in T-design in living room. Hung 5 spotlights and 3 drop pendant lights. Electrician accidentally cut one of the pendant lights too short. He took the wire and fixture with him and fixed it and correctly installed it on 2nd visit.
In kitchen, installed track and hanging light fixture. Suggested a better layout for track than we had planned, which was an improvement. On first visit, I had an incorrect piece so they could not do the kitchen work. I got the needed connector and they came back 1 week later to finish the work. They did not charge me extra for the second visit. He did have to come back anyway because of the living room pendant light that he had to install after fixing, but they still could have charged me extra if they wanted to be obnoxious.
was very courteous and pleasant. He was punctual. The lighting looks terrific."

"I'm really happy. The track lighting installation was complicated because of my ceilings and badly sized/placed electrical boxes, which I expected in advance and it took quite awhile to do. I also had a 120 exceedingly heavy aquarium that needed shims to level it out because of very uneven wood floors. I had shims ready, but he brought some that were even better. It required much checking and adjusting as it had to be perfectly symmetrical on all corners to avoid undue pressure or twisting on the glass. And he cut a hole in my interior bathroom door and put a cat flap in for me. He worked hard the entire day and then some. He's good natured, keeps going until he gets the job done and is neat and clean. He wanted to make sure I was happy and got enough done on my list of things to do. Well, I was very happy. I've been saving up all my other things around the house and just waiting for my vanity light to arrive so that I can have him back for another day. I'm really pleased and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him or hiring him again."

"It was great. The technician took down the fan and then suggested putting up lightbulb plug in its . We had to take it down because we're having a loft built in my son's room. So he did that.
Then he came to do the chandelier we'd bought. First he figured out that we didn't actually need it rewired for American wiring. He put it in the dining room and I realized to my horror that I didn't like it there. So I asked him to remove it and put it up in the hallway (each time removing the fixture that was already there). He was incredibly nice about this and did it without making me feel like the idiot I was. He struck some problems with the hallway fixture and had to go to his truck twice but stayed cheerful even though it got late."

" answered my email inquiry promptly and set up a time to visit the site so he could see the work I wished to have done. He is busy (and worth waiting for), so he scheduled my work about two to three weeks out from our initial meeting. Once started, he methodically did the work and also called me with good questions or to explain issues as they arose during the work so that I was fully informed and so that I got exactly what I wanted. I agree with the many others on this list (which is how I found ) who have said that is pleasant, professional and does high quality work."

" replied quickly to our request for an estimate. He charged us by the day, so we came up with a list of items we needed done. Scheduling a date for the work was tricky because of his prior commitments and the holidays, but we finally found a mutually agreeable date.
stayed late to finish a challenging problem with one of the switches. Because he solved the problem, we don't have to hire an electrician, which saves us money! He was concerned not only with doing good work, but also gave us advice on how to care for the caulking work that he performed.
As mentioned by others, is a pleasure to work with. He has an easy going demeanor, and an excellent attention to detail.
We highly recommend him."
