Ent Treatment Reviews in New York

The first visit was almost comical. His receptionist was swearing loudly at her computer and the waiting room was filthy. I thought it was strange that they have a cash only co-pay policy, and do not provide receipts, but was in pain so decided not to worry about it.

After cleaning the blockage out of my ear with water from the tap (not sterilized) he made a prescription for drops and told me to come back for a follow up.

A week later I returned and had the most horrifying experience I have ever had with a doctor.

When I went into the office he started out the examination by straddling my legs and rubbing himself up against me, in what could be perceived as an accident at first, to examine my ears. He then asked me to open my mouth to examine my throat and made a sexual joke about lollipops. When I asked him what he meant he laughed and said that that is what he says to all the "girls."

He then started rubbing examining my neck with his hands in a very rough manner. He then
me into another room where he had an antique looking machine that he used to squirt two different type of liquid into my nose, never once explaining what he was doing or asking my permission. Right before he squirted the liquid into my nose he stopped himself and said "Oh yeah. Are you allergic to anything?" I told him my drug allergies and then he moved sprayed it into my nose so haphazardly that it went into my mouth.

After that he put a long, thin tube with a light at the end into my nose. When I complained loudly that he was hurting me he did not stop or explain what he was doing at all. When he was done scoping my nose he said "Do you think you'll live?"

Then he took me back into the original room and told me that I have thyroid problems. I tried to ask for clarification of what that means, but he kept interrupting me to talk about the problems he was having with his laptop software. When he finally began to listen to my questions about how that relates to fertility he responded by saying "You're not trying to get pregnant are you?" I responded that I am and he laughed at me and said that I would be unable to have children unless I get a surgery, which he just so happens to perform.

He said that I should have blood work done and while describing how I should prepare for the blood test he explained how important it is to clean my gentals thoroughly before having the blood work done.

I felt completely violated by this visit and this doctor. He has no idea how to talk to women. I don't know how he is with men, but with his scare tactics and sexually natured, inappropriate bedside manner, I would recommend that all women stay away.

He was so caring and came up with things that you wouldn't normally think of. He preferred certain medications over others. He definitely knew what he was doing. He did a nice job of explaining things to me. All around a good guy.

She has a very, very famous patient list including
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
. She specializes in people that need to speak or sing professionally. There are not that many people in the country that do that. I have been to her in the past when I had to be on stage and she is wonderful. She treats

and a lot of Broadway people. She is extremely skilled at her very interesting specialty. I have total confidence in her care. I am picky because I am a doctor's widow myself. She will make sure that someone gets in if they are really sick.

I looked them up on Angie's List. It is a huge practice. I called them and they were very helpful. I explained to them about the ear problem that my son had and they gave me the name of a doctor that was more specifically involved with ears. He gave the right answers and it all worked out very well. It was not the most beautiful practice in the aesthetic sense but the doctor was on time and did everything that we needed. It was just like any other general practice and was perfectly adequate. It was just like the NHS and that is how I would like to rate it. The care is excellent. The billing and administration was perfect since I was out of state and they were able to check for California versus New

Been seeing Dr.
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
since 2007 for my daughter's recurring cholesteatoma. Although he is not a pediatric ent specifically, he specializes in removal of cholesteatoma and is the head of the Columbia ENT department. He is a fantastic doctor with great bedside manner. He answers any questions and takes the time to explain and re-explain procedures and exactly what might be going on with her ear. He has performed 3 surgeries and has never failed to return a call or even call after surgery to see how she is. The staff in his office is wonderful. I've never been denied an appointment and they go out of their way to accomodate your schedule. The in-house audiologist, Dr.
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
is great as well.

Even though they are clearly a very busy office and department, there is none of that rudeness or "closed door" attitude you get from many busy doctors offices.

I will continue driving over 50 miles to bring my daughter to Dr.

for as long as she needs it.

Great patient and effective treatment! The treatment to my left ear didn't go well initially. But the doctor didn't give up on me and now it seems that it will fully recovered soon.

I like her very much. She is very helpful and seems to be aware of the problems with my throat and vocal chords. I feel comforted by her. I have seen her twice and I feel good every time I meet her. Her staff is very nice.

Excellent care. Expedited radiography and referrals were excellent. Diagnosis was spot on and bedside manner was great. I have referred others who also rave about his care.

When I visited Dr.
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
, I was extremely discouraged by the fact that his office was extremely filthy. Dr.
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
either doesn?t have a assistant or he likes to make his own appointments. Typically, when you call him, he is the one answering the phone. I haven?t seen an assistant during my two visits to his office. Typically, you expect the doctors to be wearing very clean sterile clothing. Amazingly, Dr.
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
is not one of those. If you ever see him when he is performing, you will know what I mean. I am not going to detail out his clothing manners in this feedback, but rather will concentrate on his treatments. He is extremely rough with you when it comes to cleaning your ears, or looking at your throat. At one point, he wanted to take out some wax from my without any softening product which is typically used. It hurt like crazy. Although I made it clear to him that it was hurting, he continued to perform. Then he took me to another room where he performed a throat
New York Otolaryngologists Provider Name Locked
with some kind old equipment. The equipment had a long tube which he uses to go in from your nose and looks at your throat. It is a very uncomfortable procedure which I found out that that wasn?t a necessary procedure for a

. Finally, he wanted me to get some blood work done which I couldn?t understand why he was asking for this work. He typically doesn?t warn you on the procedures he is going to perform and get your permission. He made an appointment to the blood work center and wanted me to see him again after the tests. Off course, I didn?t do it, and went to a different doctor whom didn?t need to perform any of those uncomfortable procedures and blood work, and cured my problem with a

drop. After all these, I kept getting so many bills from Dr.

since my insurance didn?t cover the tests he conducted. I paid him, but I was very sorry to see him in the first place.

There are several Drs. at this office and I have seen different ones and always been happy with them. They take the time to listen to you and answer all your questions. They use alternative medicine and will refer you to another Dr. if needed.
