"We used
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, the Greenwich Street NYC location, for more than a year. In general we were pleased with the overall quality of the cleaning service and we really wanted to use an 'organic'/non-perc service. Clothing was cleaned and pressed well and most stains were successfully removed. We used their pick-up and delivery service, so we packed the items in their bag and they picked the bag up from us. We have a doorman so I cannot say how punctual they were, but generally, if our items were promised on a specific day, then we received them that day. However, the business has a significant inventory management problem. For us it started after about 6 months with the loss of one shirt. They found that shirt after about a week. Then about a month later, they lost another shirt which they were never able to find. No compensation or addmission of guilt was ever offered. Then they lost half of the shirts we sent to them - 6 shirts - in one go. These were

Pink shirts, not inexpensive items, of which three were brand new worn twice and for which I had the purchase receipts still. Because we had them pickup i did not have a receipt from
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
(normally given to us at delivery) so
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was able to claim that we did not give them the shirts. No appologies, no compensation, no redress whatsoever. I spoke to managers and i wrote to the owner of the company. I received no response whatsoever. I do not know if they have organization issues or theft issues, but I will never use them again. Cleaning ability is moot if you can't get your clothes back.

"We found
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
on Angie's list. It was an old listing so we called them and several others and
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was DELIGHTFUL on the phone. It was all about customer service. They asked us to get everything there by 1:00 for overnight service and we couldn't get there until 2:30 and they did not blink and took us anyway, calling around for someone to take the wash and fold. We have been going across Manhattan to use them since, passing several more local cleaners, due to the service levels. They carry stuff to your car for you. They remember your name on the second visit. They take those annoying little paper tags off the dry cleaned items BEFORE they give you back the clothes. They count and recount items and the bookkeeping is meticulous. They are very careful to not overpromise when things will be done. Once they found problems with a piece and with great apologies held it an extra day to get it cleaned. I got it back better than new. They greatly prefer cash but will graciously accept a credit or debit card if need be which is very unusual for a dry clearner in Manhattan. They do not have a public toilet but our youngest is still toilet training and when we asked they let all three of the little girls use their potty. I sent pants I had been holding closed with a pin and they came back with the hook and eye sewn on--and they didn't add a mending charge to the prepaid dry cleaning. I've been getting dry cleaning done for 40 years, 15 in Manhattan and this family is unbelievable. Go there. They will become part of your family."

"My fiance and I have been using Mr
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
for the last 4 month. He is very professional, always provides beautifully ironed shirts - starched to just the level I like (he was careful to find out exactly how much like), gets everything done super quick and remembers our names every time. I don't know how he does it. We are very impressed!"

"The driver picks up your dirty clothes and leaves you a pink slip with the promised delivery time. Just before our vacation, I was promised our wash-and-fold laundry and dry cleaning 48-hours after pickup. The notice was very clear. Well, the day before our flight, I got worried because
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
had not delivered our clothes -- including much of our vacation wardrobe. "Oh if we didn't call you the night before, that means we are backed up and cannot deliver,"
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, the manager, told me. "And, dry-cleaning (which I had plenty) usually takes 72-hours." I explained to her none of the instructions/information left by the driver stated this, and that she was hanging onto clothes that needed to be in suitcases NOW. She attempted to have delivered our clothes the next morning at 5am. (The car service to the airport was going to be here at 7:30am.) Well, the driver got lost (we live 30-minutes away from

) and finally arrived at 6:45! We didn't need this stress before a vacation, and with sleep deprivation, because we woke up to wait for the driver at 5am. I send another load of clothes here after returning from vacation, attempting to call

several times, to ask for a discount.

-and-fold work was usually (read-on) good work... so I wanted to give her another
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. Big big mistake. Some clothes we brought back from vacation were brand new and never worn. Two shirts (brand new from the
New York Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
store) came back with looked like food or makeup stains. The dry-cleaning mentioned above? Staples, staples, staples. Every single shirt and pair of slacks had tags stapled through the garment tags. Why? Other cleaners manage NOT TO STAPLE through tags. Loop the tag around and staple only the paper tab... not fabric. I have to go by a staple remover. Do not be lured to send your clothes to

. There's a slick website and that colorful flyer sent to my home

me to believe this was an honest reputable service. Steer clear.

"They treat me well. They are friendly and know me. They have the things ready on time. I would recommend them to others. I am satisfied with their service."

"I think that their customer service is outstanding. They are reliable and they stand by their work. I like that they will deliver. They have a seamstress on hand who does alterations. Their prices may be high, but you get what you pay for. They have long hours. They know who their longstanding customers are and will go out of their way to make you happy."

"I have never had a problem with them. They do a very good job and I have never taken very big and complicated jobs to them but the 2 stores that I have been involved with have been very good."

"The dress came back with a fold in the sash around the waist line, and a tear so that the sash was partially separated from the dress. Both these mistakes were in full view through the picture window. I called the company for an explanation, and was told how I could open the viewing box to fix the dress. I'm planning on taking the entire dress out and hanging it again, so I can inspect it for more damage. The company has offered to repackage the dress for me, but I'm worried about further damage it may suffer if I send it back to them. I had no complaints about the time it took to ship the dress to me, or the communication the company had with me while they were processing my dress. Unfortunately, in the one area where they should excel - cleaning and packaging dresses - they totally flaked out."

"The quality of work this company does is pretty good. I have been through countless dry cleaners in this area. I think their prices are a little on the high side but I would rather pay a higher dollar amount and have my clothes done correctly rather than use these other places that charge me less but do a poor job on my clothes."
C
"I got a little frustrated with this drycleaner, actually. They do not speak English. Their staff is foreign. The prices are not bad, but it s hard to understand what the people are saying to you. You do not understand them and they do not understand you, so it s a hassle. I would rather pay more money and be able to communicate with people, to be honest. I mean, I might use them again because the prices are pretty good, but I also might shop around and try and locate some new places, too."
