They are superb. Call them and they will send someone out and provide you with a written estimate. An appointment is then set up; they will call to confirm the appointment and their staff arrives on time and does a splendid job.

Their work is exemplary. They've handled antique fabric drapes. And they did a wonderful job in both hanging, re-hanging, and cleaning.

Excellent service. Two people came to remove the drapes and rugs. They were happy to keep them for me while waiting for interior painting job to be finished. They returned and hung the drapes with extreme care. They also were careful to place the rugs correctly. They did forget to sew new fringe on one rug. With much apology they took the rug it back to finished the job. Everyone I was personable and accommodating.

They did not return all of the tie backs. What I did get back was pretty severely damaged. They have been obnoxious! They asked for cash specifically which didn't sound legitimate to me. They have been very difficult to deal with throughout these problems. They cleaned one set of six panels of draperies. Some were damaged. Tie backs were most severely damaged. Cannot be used at all.

I thought that they did a fabulous job. It did take them two days longer than I had expected, but it was worth the wait. They were clean and fresh and looked like brand new.

Very happy with their work. It was done promptly, carpets and couch were cleaned in place. Drapes were removed, cleaned at factory and re-hung. They could not remove all the stains from the couch and that is understandable.

was wonderful on the phone! She seemed to understand precisely and was great to talk with.

came out the following week, (April 24th) and he, too, was very helpful. (We were moving from one apartment to a smaller one in the same building -- but the window was larger.) He gave me an estimate of $1200, and then discounted it to $1000 when he heard I found them on Angie's List.

had an excellent suggestion for making our valance fit in the new room -- by re-mounting it on a new board, and not extending the drapes to the corners of the room, but just outside the width of the window itself. He also arranged to have the drapes and valance cleaned, although he said this cleaning couldn't be guaranteed, as they don't directly do that -- according to my understanding.
Having never dealt with drapes before, I was a real babe in the woods on this project, but relieved to find someone who felt comfortable taking it on.

was reassuring. The drapes were taken down and removed soon afterwards, and I was told to save the tracks that had been on the ceiling. I did.
The project was finished sooner than I expected. They came on May 2nd to re-hang the drapes. It was such a relief to get them hung in the new apartment, that I was pleased to see they fit the window. It was a little upsetting to see that the lining hung slightly below the drapes themselves, but I figured this was the fault of cleaners -- that there had been some shrinkage. This wasn't a problem, though, as there's furniture that goes in front of the drapes anyway. And then, I had to go out of town shortly after the work had been done, and I was told that

had gone away as well.
When my husband came home, he was pleased to see the drapes hanging, but upset that they no longer closed. (I later learned that this was because of the wider window.) But, the tracks on the ceiling had been placed so that even when the drapes were pulled in as far as they could go, they weren't even. Main problem, though, was that the sheers had not been put back, which meant there was no way to block the neighbors view of our living room! (The contract had specified that sheers would be re-hung.)
Upon my return to New

, I called Deila, who was (again) very understanding, and promised to have
New York Drapery Cleaners Provider Name Locked
contact me, which he did. He arranged for the same 2 men who had installed the drapes to come back the next week (May 22nd) to sort out the problem. This time my husband made it a point to be here.
Main person told me that the drapes were not quite wide enough to close all the way, which was fair. He then re-attached one of the ceiling tracks to that the drapes could at least be pulled in evenly. I then showed him the rod I'd bought to hang the sheers. I'd bought a shorter one -- that extended to only 84" (?) even though our window width was 95". (I figured that it would be okay to use the shorter length, as the drapes covered more than 12" on each side -- so they didn't have to be hung at the outside range.) He didn't seem to understand what I was suggestiing, and instead -- very cleverly, but grumpily -- extended the old rods, using a cut-off portion of my new rod. Fine. At least we have sheers hanging so that our neighbors don't have a 24-hour view...
But, the men who came out seemed to arrive with attitude that we, the customers, were just stupid. Hard to explain, but my husband especially felt they were very dismissive of us, and seemed to indicate that our dissatisfaction was ridiculous. But they did the job quickly, and then seemed to expect a tip. Although my husband is usually very generous, he was so annoyed with their attitude that he deliberately didn't give them anything.
The main person then tried to charge us an extra $45, which seemed foolish to me. He called

, who told him to forget about the extra charge. (Thank you,

So, at least our drapes now look fine. The cord for pulling them was never reinstalled, so they have to be done manually, but at least we have drapes with sheers. I was told by friends that we were lucky to get service like this, so guess we can't complain. It upsets me to give a less-than-stellar review, but I feel it's only fair to prospective users of United.

I needed a company to clean two pairs of draperies, each with a valance. Additionally, the rods had to be reinstalled and the draperies rehung. I called severDecoratorsal drapery cleaners and although all were willing to pick up the draperies and clean them, no one was willing to reinstall the

rods, one of which was damaged and needed repair. It occurred to me that perhaps a company that made draperies would do the job. I found

,I have used Fabra Cleen in the past for drapes, rugs, carpet, and upholstery cleaning. They have always been very good. And I continue to call them for all my maintenance cleaning. This time they brought in a new steam cleaning machine and the results were amazing. My club chairs are ten years old and I am planning to have them recovered after a kitchen renovation and apartment painting. They hardly need it now. They look practically new. In the past I had them remove the rugs, drapes, and shades and clean and store them till our window replacement was finished. A great service. Highly recommended.

They are excellent and as good as they get. Some may consider them expensive but they are worth every penny. They first come and do an estimate and then if you agree they return and pick up panels and return again to rehang them.
