New Orleans Window Installers Provider Name Locked
(VC) was hired on a referral from another contractor who I had contracted in

2009 for a separate job. VC was contracted to renovate two 11' x 5' single pane windows in a factory-converted condominium complex in the warehouse district. Work began on Thursday, 1/28/10 but was not completed until over three weeks later. Issues of concern: Poor Quality/Workmanship: The windows needed to be restained secondary to incomplete initial staining in which multiple panes of wood were left unstained. Similarly, polyurethane application was incomplete, leaving multiple areas of untreated wood. The windows were inadequately scraped and cleaned at the conclusion of the job. Overall workmanship was poor. Lack of Professionalism: Poor communication (phone calls were not returned) and failure to appear as promised (twice and without calling to to cancel or reschedule) were the main issues. VC did little to restrict the impact of the work being performed (e.g. no vertical drop sheets to restrict the spread of wood dust, lack of timeliness in completion of work-a three day job took over three weeks to complete with a significant impact on the living situation within the condo). Moreover, VC appeared to be unapologetic and did not seem to recognize the poor quality of work or work provision. Due to the poor quality of workmanship and lack of professionalism, my request to hang new window blinds at the completion of the job was withdrawn."

"The person they sent out had the most high-pressure, insincere approach I have ever experienced from a salesman. This guy would just not listen to what I was saying, and he kept laying on the c***. I just about threw him out of my house and thought he would never leave. I can image he would bully some people into buying what he had to sell, just to get rid of him. And, yes, his price was 50% to 100% higher than all of the three other companies I got estimates from. Consider yourself warned."

"My husband and I both felt that once he started the job it was probably more extensive than he thought. We told him that we appreciated all his work and that we would gladly pay him more than what he quoted us. His response was, "No, thank you but I stick to my quot no matter what"."

"Terrible. Before and after picture tell the story. His estimate was $1832.00 for this he did not take out the window to replace the rotten wood around and behind it. I had to stop the job mid way when they screwed flashing on top of siding and was beginning to put the roofing material on top of the flashing. This is while they were painting over rotten wood."

"They were so much lower than all of the other bids that I received. They were originally contracted to just fix one window however the second window was broken by one of my contractors. When I contacted

, they came out immediately to fix the other one. They did very good work and were professional."

gave informative demonstration, was patient, answered questions, no high pressure sales pitch, and said it would take 3-4 weeks to order and install windows. I was gone then but when I got back called they scheduled for a week later came and installed. He even pointed out a roof problem I didn't know I had. Also good record with BBB."
