"Had contacted several roofers previously from yellow pages, friends, signs in yards, and Angie's list. I started looking into roofers last year as I educated myself on what all should go into inspecting and replacing a roof , as I had no idea. After about five-six estimates, I went with

was on the roof longer than the others, he spent more time with me answering all my questions, he told me about the differences in vents, materials, warranties, and colors, which few did, some did not even show sample of shingles. I knew I needed to add a few vents, all the others simply said okay, without info on types, best for my home etc, this is why I did the research but I still needed a professional opinion on what was best for my home and area. Second I did check with Angies list and BBB and lastly (which is actually first) is my first impression when I called for someone to come out for an estimate, I do not rememeber the lady's name but she well attentive, professional and pleasant during my call, I have had people that I have called and I do not think they were listening to me, or I felt they were doing something else and I was a bother. I am very particular about with whom/where I spend my money and not easily impressed.

installation supervisor and crew were also great, I was kept informed throughout the entire process, it is hard to find customer service people these days, but I had them in at my house for a few days, they were not the least expensive but competitive. "A new roof these days costs a lot more than I expected, but the last one I purchased for the same home was 20 years ago.

We still chose them because we felt more confident in their quality and professionalism and with the fact that they have been around a long time and probably will be in business for many more years. The gutters maybe went even better. Removed the old gutters one afternoon and came back and installed new gutters the next morning. Done by lunchtime. Beautiful job, and the gutters are draining just as they should. Both crews left a clean site. Everybody involved in the entire project seemed to take pride in their work and to be skilled and knowledgeable. In 20 years or so, I'll report back on how the roof and gutters have stood up."

"I am going to work with him. I liked my interaction with him. He is a nice fellow. He seemed ready and willing to look into everything I asked. I have asked him to build a sunroom and I was very specific about what I wanted. He is still in the stage of gathering all the information to give me a bid. He sat with me for probably three hours, which was amazing to me. He was very good about understanding what I wanted. I looked him up online and he had all good ratings. That is what influenced me to contact him. My interaction with him has been very positive. There is a certain kind of glass that I want in the room. I found the source for it. So, I am in a difficulty between the contractors and the sunroom people that have the glass I want. He is trying to locate another source for the glass. He really wants to do the whole job. He is willing to do a part of it as long as he can walk away and the other person take over or they can do their part and then he take over. "Apparently the owner has been sick and he sent someone else out that works for him. We accepted the bid and wrote the contract. They would never call us back to come do the work. The man himself finally called and said that there are so many other roofers out there why didn't I call and

"We had a leak in our breakfast room of our two-story house. Because our son's room is right above where the water was seeping through the drywall on the ceiling, we figured it must be the roof. I called

Before the owner, Chip, was able to get out to the house to give me an estimate, I contacted other companies for an estimate and to get their take on the problem, and I was planning on going with the company that would BEST take care of the job--not necessarily the least expensive. Since the roof was replaced in 2001, he said that it sounded like the pipe boots were just starting to wear out with the sun and weather. When Chip said he'd call, he called; when he said he'd come by, he came by. He said he'd send a crew over to replace the pipe boots and repair the nail-pops either that afternoon or the next day. At 2:00, Chip and his employee arrived, again surprising me, and said it would take them about 30 minutes. It took them a little more than half that. I would highly recommend

to anyone who has issues with the roof. Chip takes the time to learn about the problem thoroughly, and then he explains what he will do to fix it so that even if you're not a roofer, you can understand he's talking about. It was just the cherry on top that he beat all the other bids by more than $50."
