Turns out that this was a good buy because the engine recently came apart internally (thrown connecting rod). ASC asked me to provide my maintenace records, which i did, and they worked with my mechanic (All Star Japanese Engines) to get a good quality replacement engine and install it in the car.
It took a week for the engine to be delivered and two days later, the car is back in great running condition.
The remainder of the warranty is also still valid until the original terms expire.

Not only will they do everything to deny your claim, they hide behind a clause in their contract and, now let me bold this:
YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT UNLESS YOUR STATE HAS A SPECIFIC PROVISION ALLOWING THE CONTRACT TO BE CANCELLED
I am not kidding. They will charge you, deny your claim, then gleefully tell you on the phone that you aren't even allowed to request your money back.

Oh, and by the way, the local HSA sales office originally offered us nearly 400$ towards our repair to keep us a satisfied customer. Sounds pretty fair, right?
Unfortunately, they later called us stating that they would not only pay the money towards our repair, but they would not even give us their contact information! They wouldn't even speak to us about it!
This company is a sham, and the whole point is to charge you money with no intention of assisting you with any kind of repair or service.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR CASH.
Do what my plumber recommended when I told him about this situation. Save your money for repairs our of pocket, because HSA has no intention of ever assisting you with anything.
Side note: I didn't even bother to mention how their reps will yell, argue, and in one case, even curse at you when you're on the phone with them. I even heard the voice on the other end of the phone from across the room when my partner called.
This is the worst example of customer service I've ever experienced.

I had different repair man fixi t, and he said that was not the problem that hte motor had just warn out over time. IT was over 10 years old, and it broke. I am sure if I got an attorney and sued them I would have won, but they count on you not doing that.
The A/c Guy I used through them who made this diagnosis was friendly home services. I'd never use either of these compnaie again.
