To clarify, I rent and friends of mine own this home. I have been the point person for repairs through Integrity and have experienced nothing but inconsistency, slow response, and low quality work. It has taken several years to get tornado damage repairs done, and done well. The only reason that the homeowners are going through Integrity is that Integrity has an agreement with the insurance company that has covered the tornado damage on their home. I finally got them to come and paint my deck two years ago, and the deck promptly chipped and peeled that same summer due to their choice of low quality paint and the lack of shade in that area. I have been consistent about calling, but feel strongly that my house has been put on the backburner due to the homeowners (my friends) being out of state. I would not recommend Integrity to anyone. The name is the cherry on top of the irony ice cream.

Our insurance company hooked us up with Integrity to dry out our walls from ice dam damage. Our deductible was high so were trying to keep the cost low (ie if possible, not tear out our whole kitchen to dry the walls). Integrity sent person #1 they assessed the situation and said they could dry the wall without tearing anything out. they sprayed a mold inhibitor, poked lots of holes in the walls and set up giant fans and dehumidifiers in the kitchen and the basement. a few days later, person #2 came out, took away the basement stuff, and left the kitchen stuff as the walls were still not dry. Then a few days later person #3 came out, looked at it and told us he would have gone about drying the walls differently, as it had now been about a week and they still weren't dry. He was very responsive and came back each day over the next few days to check on it and try different things (more holes in the walls, additional fans, etc). We were getting increasingly frustrated with no progress, so we decided to stop using integrity and get a different company. Person #3 comes back to remove the equipment and declares that our walls are in fact dry anyways, so it worked. Well, we still had new company come out to look at it, and when they tested the walls they were not in fact dry. They went through the process of dismantling the kitchen and when we got to the walls there was already mold growing, so the walls were definitely not dry as person #3 had told us. So we are glad we went with someone else in the end, but it cost us time and money. On the pricing, Integrity did not charge us for all of the days the fans were used due to the differing opinions we were getting about the drying process. However, when we looked over the detailed invoice from our insurance company they did manage to charge us some extraneous fees for hauling away stuff that they never hauled away, and then did end up removing the fees.

In the beginning

's was excellent. They arrived quickly to assess the damages and come up with a plan. They cleaned up the mess, then dried out the house from the water hoses the fire department used.

's then went to work removing water and smoke damaged walls, windows, and furniture. They put in new insulation, new electrical wiring, new drywall, painted them all, put back in lighting, and got the house back to us with a few delays in schedule. We had them do a few additional jobs, like expand a closet entry, re-enforce the roof, and add electrical outlets to rooms.
Near the end of the work they were very hard to reach, not calling us back, and they missed a bunch of little things, like installing the ceiling fans correctly, small painting mistakes, etc. They didn't strip and paint a windowsill which they said originally would be covered, and they charged us for painting our kitchen which they said would be free to make up for the delays. And lastly we were overcharged, but this was corrected after we called their finance department.
To sum up: started strong, ended weak.
Of course I am thankful for their work, and the house is back to what it was before the fire.

came promptly. They removed a few baseboards, removed the wet padding under the carpeting and brought some fans and a dehumidifier and let them run for four or five days.
Within a day or two they made me uneasy.
They declared the carpeting a total loss. (It wasn’t.) They said our couch was wet and would need to be professionally cleaned. (It wasn’t.) They came out daily to check on the drying process. (Which didn’t seem necessary.) Even when everything seemed utterly, utterly bone-dry, they insisted it needed additional days.
When I told them we had a $2,500 deductible on our home insurance policy and would thus be paying this out of pocket, they said,

’t worry, they could easily make the cost go above the $2,500.
So I asked them to just finish the drying portion of the job and we would take care of the rest of it. Total price for removing the wet padding and putting in fans and a dehumidifier: $2,379.
I then hired a professional to buy new padding, reinstall the dried carpet, reattach the baseboards, etc.----i.e. the other half of the job. Total price (including the cost of carpet padding): $475.00.
So we found
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
’s pricing to be predatory. Maybe all restoration companies are like this. After all, when you have a soaking wet carpet and can already smell the mildew, you’re not in the best position to do research and seek competitive bids. I had signed their contract, so I paid. But I felt like I was dealing with a company that was unused to any kind of normal pricing because they only bill to insurance companies.
It was like dealing with a hospital that billed $100 for an aspirin because they could charge it to Medicare. But in this case, I was actually paying for the $100 aspirin out of pocket and they didn’t care.
(By the way, according to my insurance agent, any non-weather related claim will cause our home policy to go up by 25 percent. And if we have two non-weather claims in a three-year period, our policy will be cancelled. So it makes sense for people to pay out of pocket for a relatively small incident like this. )
Look, I know what
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
did is all perfectly legal and probably utterly normal. But it seems like an abuse of insurance companies and/or homeowners. And it felt sleazy.
So based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
to anyone who cared about costs or who wasn’t sending the bill to their insurance company and thus didn't care about cost.

I think it went well. They arrived very promptly, even early. They set up a dehumidifier to get the area dry enough for demolition and taped up a plastic sheet to keep the area isolated. My insurance company got them out to us quickly. The next day, two people showed up and removed the sheet rock and wet insulation, cut back the wall and ceiling to where there was no damage, set up an exhaust fan with
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
filter to exhaust the air and trap mold and kept the dehumidifier going for another day. They sprayed the area with an antimicrobial product to prevent mold growth. They cleaned up pretty well and removed all the trash when they left. On the next day the supervisor came again to test for any damp areas and remove the fan and dehumidifier.
My only other comment is that I wish they had covered their shoes with some kind of booties when they walked through my house. It's wet and dirty outside and I had to clean my kitchen floor after they left, but I don't consider this a big complaint. I was grateful they got the job done as fast as they did. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I don't have any cost information. I believe the insurance company handles that.

Of course it happened on a Sunday. I had the drains cleared and then had

come out and clean up the basement which was a total loss. They arrived between 7 and 8 in the evening.
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
examined the basement and then explained what needed to be done. It was depressing, but he was very understanding and professional. I understood what the cost would be before having the work done which was nice. They worked until approximately 1:30 am and then put several professional grade fans downstairs to dry out the basement. Everyone I have dealt with at
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
has been very kind and professional, from

Over the years, we've used

Roofing & Remodeling for a number of small projects and have always been satisfied by the quality of the work. After receiving a number of bids, we chose
Minneapolis Water And Smoke Damage Specialists Provider Name Locked
for, what we thought, would be a relatively modest project to fix water damage to our front porch and deck. As it turned out, the entire structure had rotted out as a result of improper construction in the original installation (which was not done by

As a result, the entire structure needed to be demolished and completely replaced.

Homes were on-time and thorough. They investigated the problem completely--a leak beneath a patio/deck door from another contractor's work. They found the source of the problem, developed an action plan including best practices to prevent the problem from recurring, and got the work done quickly and effectively. They had respect for each others' expertise and relied on each other to get the job done. The camaraderie was high among them. And I enjoyed talking to them too!

The fire took place in August 2009, and they lied to me about the need for an as-built building plan, saying that there was a delay from the city, so it was four months before they even started. They compete removed my roof and truss system right before the prediction of a major snowstorm, and then they ordered the wrong trusses for the skylights that I had previously. They then lied to me about the ability to have the right skylights and a permeant roof was not applied until early March. Meanwhile, it rained in my house, it snowed in my house, and the areas of my house that were not affected by the fire were water and mold damaged. They forgot to winterize my house until I asked them about it on December 4th, 2009 in MINNESOTA, so many water pipes froze! They did more damage to my home than the fire did! I have been involved in a law suit with them since 2010.

My advice to Angie's List members is to stay far away from fire and water specialists as they are like lawyers who chase ambulances. You need a good contractor, not a water and fire specialist.

This project was supposed to be an 8-9 month job but it has turned into a 3+ year ordeal.

After a summer storm that dropped 7 inches of rain in the area, we woke up at 5 AM to find the holding/drainage pond next to our home was blocked by debris and not draining. The pond emptied into our backyard and flooded the entire property. The water came into the lower level of our home and left four feed of standing water. Our lower level consists of a fully furnished bedroom, office, family room, and laundry/storage area.

determined that our home was in immediate need due to the amount of water and the fact that the drywall was wicking the water up the walls. Our home was a swarm of activity after that. A large crew began removing furniture and boxes from the basement and removed the carpeting. They removed four feet of drywall from all sides of the basement to prevent the water from working its way up the walls any more than it already had. Insulation was removed. It was a dirty, wet, heavy job. But through it all, the crew kept the upstairs clean and dry while hauling things out.

and his crew were efficient and all the time polite and concerned with our welfare. They were wonderful to work with. After everything was cleaned out,

left a large industrial blower/dryer in each room to make sure the lower level would be dry. The team came back several days in a row to check the wood frame and left the dryers running until they were sure the wood was thoroughly dried out.

We are so grateful for the quick response and professional work that was done by the amazing crew that showed up at our home that day. We cannot say enough good things about
