Minneapolis Tree Services Reviews

was great to work with from start to finish. Their online form lets you submit a request anytime and they came shortly by shortly after with an estimate. Waiting until winter provided a discount and I was able to wait with the project.
The company called to let me know they would be working on the tree; then the weather was too cold and they called to reschedule. The crew was courteous and cleaned up everything. The tree looks great. And there won't be branches in the way of power lines or clothes lines. Thank you

"Other similar large old trees in our neighborhood have lost large branches and damaged homes in recent storms; we wanted to maintain the beauty of our tree while at the same time preventing storm damage (as much as possible) and doing what we can to prolong its life. The company was very helpful in answering our questions and explaining in detail what they recommended.
The day they arrived to do the pruning was cold and cloudy; it rained hard when they were about half finished with their work. In spite of the bad weather, they kept working and finished more quickly than we expected. They were careful to clean up all the branches and debris, and the tree looked much better (not denuded) after their work. We appreciated that they didn't try to convince us to do more than necessary to preserve the appearance and health of the tree!
"I needed to have a very large tree stump removed and the roots ground.

came out and told me it was a very big job and would cost $2500 which would include removal of the debris and about $600 to $700 for soil to fill in the hole. When I looked surprised and told him that I already had gotten other bids for much less, he said he'd be surprised if I could get the work done for less than $1800. In the end, I had several other bids, all of which came in for between $400 to $600 for doing the entire job, but not bringing new soil. When I asked

to e-mail me the estimate, it came in at $2200. Needless to say, I went with a cheaper company, and they were able to fill in the hole with the debris. Be sure to get multiple quotes! I would expect some price variation from company to company, but to charge me 5 times the the going rate is

disappointing from a company that gets so many great reviews and for a relatively small and straightforward project.
"Project went very quickly.

and his team were extraordinarily professional and did an excellent job getting the tree down safely and maintaining the yard. Other than the missing grass where the stump was, we would have never know they were there. The pricing was competitive. We were very happy.
"Excellent. This is the 3rd time I've used them & have been very happy each time. The past two they've done the work w/out me being home & I provided payment later over the phone. They're very convenient & do quality work.
"Request for proposal included health assessment and pruning, which I wrongly assumed would involve full crown cleaning according to the definition on their website. Per their definition of pruning, I had anticipated removal of all dead or dying branches, only to learn this was not included in their estimate. Before departing, and to add insult to our ignorance, the arborist and crew on-site pointed out numerous dead and dying branches for my wife that were not removed.
"First rate job! All the contact/exchanges leading up the the work were quick and detailed. Estimates were concise and easy to read and

came out for the estimate personally. He had me sold during the estimate due to his manner and obvious expertise. We had a short delay due to weather (too cold) but they were able to reschedule the work for a weekend which allowed us to keep another date for a shed to be built. NE Tree also coordinated a power drop with Xcel Energy that went smoothly. The yard and street were cleaned up afterward and there was little disruption for my neighbors. One of my neighbors was interested in some tree work herself so I recommended that she talk to NE Tree since they were onsite. I only caught part of the conversation but one point I overheard was that NE Tree did not recommend cutting part of a tree since it would cause a wound that would hurt the tree. So NE Tree isn't just going to take a job for a jobs sake but are ethical about the work they do. Now that our shed is build and the sold/diseased trees are going we're planning to redo the yard and will call on NE Tree for advice about which trees to plant and where. They are great to work with and really know what they are doing when it comes to trees!
"They gave me the necessary information to make a informed decision about type of treatment. They applied the treatment in a timely and professional manner. They were available for follow up questions. They offered other possible services I might need, like tree trimming. They send regular updates on information and serviced available. They respect my decisions about how much I can afford.

and his crew are consummate professionals - they've always done a terrific job, and I'll continue to work with them for all my tree-care needs.

"Wanted two tree branches removed from my neighbor's back yard that are getting into my power lines. In every other city I've lived, you call the power company. Not here.

will shirk work any way they can, overcharge you, & take days to get your power back on w/out caring about any customer in any way, shape, or form. I wish I had a choice but to use them.
