and his crew did an excellent job in reroofing my house. He is professional, courteous and thorough.
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
has 2 employees, no subs. He hauled way the trash in a trailer every night so there was no dumpster. Cleanup was well done. He was very concerned about the flashing in one area and wanted to replace it. I appreciated his recommendation - it was a tough choice but the right one, in the end. He really went above and beyond when I mentioned to him that some 2nd floor ceiling sheetrock screws had popped during the project. He came back later and patched them all. I highly recommend

"Signed contract with Pat Hall for
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
on 10/31/2013 for above project; need for insulation removal added later.
Informed the work could start soon, but could not be performed if colder than 10 degrees F. above zero.
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
sign installed in front yard and permit taped to living room window.
Also noticed lots of
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
signs going up throughout neighborhood yards, but no visible signs of contractors.
Received call from
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
that work on chimney cap would be done on 11/12/13 and was informed I did not need to be present at the home for this. Crew would start 0800 AM. Temp 14 degrees F above zero.
I returned to the house at approximately 0900 AM to find crew had prepared scaffolding for chimney work and were just standing around apparently waiting. Crew spoke little English but were able to communicate they needed water before they could begin work for the concrete. I turned on the outside water line for them and they kept the concrete mixture warm in their wheelbarrow with portable fire. I don't know if the work would have been completed had I not returned to the house, but it worked out.
They did their work, cleaned up, and left.
11/14/13: Received call from
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
at
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
that their crew would start work on the roof in two weeks per Pat Hall.
12/12/13: After several phone calls from
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the project manager, and Pat, a dumpster was delivered to my driveway this morning at 0800 AM. Snow was removed from the old roof, the old shingles removed, repairs performed, old insulation removed, attic cleaned and sealed with foam, chutes installed. The crew worked together like a well oiled machine. Large tarps were spread over the snow to catch old shingles and other roof debris. At the end of the day, the roof was complete, the yard brushed clean, and the dumpster was full.
12/13/13: The dumpster was removed from the driveway before 0800 AM. The insulating crew returned and spent the day completing repairs, sealing spaces in the attic, and then blowing the loose fiberglass insulation into the attic space. Before they left for the day, they had weatherproofed and insulated the attic entry, cleaned up any residual tracking of their work both inside and outside, and then
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the crew foreman, explained what they had done and discussed any questions and concerns I had. He had also taken many pictures of the attic space that he would later upload to my email to proof his project.
All that remained is to replace the original plywood soffits with ventilated aluminum soffits.
During January, I noticed the snow melting over an unventilated bathroom space on the room and ice forming in the gutter. I called
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and spoke with Pat and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Pat informed me they were in the process of ordering the soffits for my house, but had no start date given.
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
told me that I needed to keep an eye on the roof and "watch it" because he didn't know for sure what could be causing the snow to melt so fast, other than the bathroom not having a fan. No definite date for soffit replacement and no one came out to look at the problem area.
01/29/14: Emailed

picture of ice dam forming over un-ventilated roof space. The insulation foreman,
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, came out on 02/05/14 to inspect the melting and check on the cause. He determined that the ice was melting due to the lack of ventilation through the attic space.
02/06/14: Received call from
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, production manager. He stated the soffits had not been ordered, but would have the material and soffit installer to my house on Monday, 2/10/14, to install the new ventilated soffits.
02/07/14: Discovered new soffit materials had been delivered to my driveway and left by the garage.
02/10/14: No show for installer. Received call after 600 PM from installer stating he had just received the order for my project and would try to start on 2/11 or 2/12.
02/11/14: No installer.
02/12/14: Returned home from work to find soffit replacement nearly complete and then completed by end of daylight same day.
Total time for project beginning with contract to completion: Approximately three months.
Additional costs?
There will be unknown expense/s related to formation of an ice dam because soffit installation postponed nearly two months after sealing and insulating attic space. There is still too much snow covering roof to assess damages, if any.
I would like
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to step up and remove ice dam and perform any repairs to the roof at their expense.
The work was great, but apparently all work was done by subcontractors. The new roof looked awesome, as a new roof should, before it was covered with snow and ice, but wondering what Spring will bring and if the shingles held on over this extraordinary winter.

and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
were top-rate! We live in a 1923 Minneapolis home with a steeper-than-usual roof and a section of flat rubber roof.
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
were punctual, explained their process, and proceeded with great care so as not to damage gardens or structures with falling ice and snow. I appreciated the use of plastic shovels on the rubber flat roof and the systematic way they steamed away the ice dams, focusing on sections that needed attention, explaining why other parts of the roof did not need clearing (e.g., south-facing). We reviewed the work after it was completed and they were very attentive to assuring our satisfaction as homeowners. They were responsible, responsive and experienced. I would definitely hire them again in the future and highly recommend them to Angie's List members as well.

replaced the one section of our roof when all other roofing companies we contacted would only replace the whole roof. Our roof was replaced maybe 5-8 years ago so the whole roof was good except for that one area. They were very professional and great to work with. Very reasonably priced too!!

was slow in getting to me, but he had lots of takers on the big deal. He had some problem with the concrete slipping on the wall, so took an extra hour to make it right. The work was satisfactory big deal was $150 (for 7 hours work), plus $140 extra for another hour (for two men), plus $80 for materials etc. Total of $370.

"Based on Angie's List reviews, I purchased a voucher for Snap. I received an immediate reply (within a couple hours) from my original contact asking the nature of the services I would like performed. Based on my reply, I was passed onto their "windows and doors" expert. I seemed to have gotten lost in the shuffle as my attempts to contact my new contractor went unanswered. So, I contacted my original contact who seemed genuinely interested in my business and convinced me to stay with the new contractor.
Once our schedules lined up, the contractor came out to the house and seemed quite knowledgable about his trade. He was very pleasant. He got back to me with a quote in a couple of days. The quote was around the $2000
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
I was anticipating. Paperwork was signed/paid and a tentative install date was agreed upon (a few weeks later as the windows and door needed to be ordered).
The day before the install date, I still had not heard from the contractor. I had to contact him and ask if I should plan on being home for the install. I was informed a couple hours later my order had not yet arrived and the install date would not go ahead as planned.
Once my order had arrived we scheduled a new install date. As that date neared, it became clear that it was going to be entirely too cold to install on that date. TOTALLY understandable. So, we rescheduled.
As the new install date neared, I was told there was some sort of issue with my contractor and my account was being given to another (third) contact. The third contact got in touch with me nearly immediately. I had my new door and windows installed within a week. The two gentlemen who installed my door and windows were very professional and quite efficient. I was very pleased with their work.
I have not heard back from anyone at Snap since the two gentlemen installed everything. I assume the account has been closed...???
Overall, I was pleased with the work that was done, but I feel like I fell through the cracks. I have a few other projects that I will be doing in the near future, and I was hoping to use this experience as a test for those projects. I will be looking for a new contractor to perform these other tasks as I imagine I would go crazy with the lack of communication on future projects.

"Received an estimate from this company for windows under a child corp called The Window Store.
Unprofessional, pushy, and full of half-truths and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Wanted to charge an astronomical amount for low quality windows and used very deceitful tactics to get us to sign up for their service.
Never, ever go with a company that will not give ALL the time oyu need to consider their offer. It was plainly obvious they didn't want us to have an opportunity to get estimates from any other company. Once we did, we realized they wanted to charge us more than 2-3 times as much as the LOWEST bid from other companies.
The person giving us an estimate didn't even see the windows he was bidding on, let alone measure them.

"The crew was as hard-working a bunch as you could imagine - 7 or 8 days straight, 8 to dark. They did a very nice job, were polite and did a reasonable job avoiding the parts of my garden that were not in the construction zone. My contact was
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he was easy to work with, and took care of all the insurance stuff so well that I barely had to talk to the insurance folks. He was good at explaining what they were doing and why. That was important to me because there was some repair work that was not covered by insurance and I wanted to know exactly what I was paying for.

"The job had to be postponed one day due to rain; we thought it would be delayed a second day as more rain was forecast, but the crew showed up at 8:00 AM, and began work as the drizzle cleared. At one time there were eight crew members working - very efficiently - to pull the old shingles off. They were fast and thorough and worked well together; one of the crew told me that most of them had been working together for over 20 years - and it showed. Watching them work was like seeing a well-choreographed dance.
They were careful not to walk or throw shingles on the flowers in front of the house. They also were careful to clean up all the debris, including running a magnet over the lawn to pick up stray nails. They completed the entire job in about 3 hours.

"I contacted
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
late Monday evening and received a response first thing Tuesday morning. Their prompt call was greatly appreciated as we had a time crunch to obtain bids. Not only was I contacted immediately but they were able to meet at the property that same day.
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
with
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
met me at the property to visually discuss options for installing a garage. They were prompt, professional, friendly and immediately provided options I hadn't thought of. They spoke of similar projects in the area they'd completed and offered to send over photos which they also promptly sent.
Finally, we found a possible structural issue with the
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
under garage after this initial meeting and
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
offered to come back out the next day to take a look.
In an industry where there are many choices little things like responding quickly and listening and responding to needs are greatly appreciated. Given the all important first impression I would highly recommend
Minneapolis Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
without hesitation.
