Roof Snow Removing reviews in Minneapolis

They responded promptly after I purchased the big deal and work was performed the next day. Cost was considerably higher than I expected, but I have never had this service performed before. We decided to keep the work to whatever could be completed in the 2-hour minimum. There was a small problem in that the service team did not fully shut off my water outside, but once the problem was discovered, they again were very responsive and offered to pay the extra water usage on my bill.

I've never had an ice dam removed, and was really surprised at the cost! However, the technician worked as rapidly as possible, and discussed with me several options that managed the overall project cost. He didn't damage fencing, bushes etc. that were directly under the roof and overall did a great job.

were not able to respond on my short timeline, but I paid $50 to Angies List for a $50 off coupon? This seems strange -- not $50 off at all, just a prepayment, and no information about how to get a refund? Where did the $50 go? I'm hoping

Three young men came and took about an hour and a half to clear the roof. Then they shoveled all the heavy snow away across my driveway. They did a great job.

and his guys cleaned my windows last fall and did such a good job, when I saw that he was removing ice dams I called him. He was just leaving the house and was booked up and couldn't do it until the following Wed. He took the time to give me the names and numbers of 3 other companies that remove ice dams. They couldn't do it either. I left a message for

on Angie's List and said that both I and my neighbor would like to get on the list for Wed. the 5, and if they had a cancellation to put us in. He called a short time later and scheduled us. I was impressed with the fact that he did all this even though he was extremely busy. The guys who came were great. They gave me an estimate, said it would take approximately 4 hours, but would try to get it done sooner if they could. They worked every minute and got it done in 3 and a half hours. They did a great job. They went next door to my neighbors, and I don't think they even took a lunch break. My neighbor is very hard to please and she was delighted with them. She called me to thank me for referring them, and also called

to tell him how much she liked their work. The cost was about $900.00 but

charges $270.00 an hour which is a lot less than some of the other companies charge. I talked to a lady at our neighborhood Curves and it cost her $1600.00 for 4 hours with another company. Even though $900.00 was a lot for my pocketbook, it was a fair price, and I was happy that it wasn't more.

got back to me the next day with the details of the service and cost. All the ice dam contractors are getting slammed with requests now and we didn't have an emergency, so a next day response was not too bad.

was able to schedule me in for two days later. We talked over the phone so I could make sure specific spots of concern were handled. He did a great job removing large portions of the ice dams around our roof, clearing out the downspouts so melting snow would have a place to go, and removing snow from the middle of the roof down.

suggested two hours of work, but could do more if desired. His guidance seemed like a good balance between getting our roof in good shape and not running the cost too high.

In spite of my ongoing efforts to shovel snow from my roof throughout this snow season, I still got those darn ice dams.

did a great job for which I am appreciative, but I am absolutely shocked by the price, even with the Angie's List discount. Seriously? $375 per hour? With a two hour minimum? Apparently, I'm working in the wrong field. My lawyer, my doctor, even my kid's neurosurgeon don't make that much, so what's up with that? I know that insurance must be high for the work they do and of course, once you have a leak you are totally at their mercy. But $375 per hour for one person is plain and

: highway robbery. Would I use them in a pinch (which I was)? Yes, but begrudgingly. Your experience may vary.

The initial phone call was great. The salesperson explained the process. They have a 2 hour minimum fee and once the 2 hours are up their crew is supposed to check in with you to see if you want them to continue at an additional hourly rate. It was expensive but I needed the job done. I explained that I just wanted the back of the house done because I had a huge dam on one end of the house that needed to go because I have had issues with that corner in the past. Two guys showed up to do the job and they were nice. I went outside about an hour or so into the job to check on them. Oddly enough they started on the end of the house that barely had any ice on it, instead of the end that very clearly needed the attention. In fairness, we didn't tell the on-site crew which end to start on when they got there but I mentioned a huge dam on one end of the house in my initial call. The 2 hour minimum time passed and no one came to ask me if I wanted them to continue. I waited a while longer and finally went outside to check on them. They had barely started on the end that was so horrible so I let them go for a bit longer. After checking on them yet again I asked how much more time they needed to finish and was told about another 45min-hour. Well, another hour wasn't in my budget so I needed them to stop as I was already at $887.50 and the problem I called about was barely touched. I bought an Angie's list discount coupon which gave me additional time for only $50. If it wasn't for that, my bill would have been over $1000.00 2 weeks later I found another company that advertises "no one pays more than $600". I called them and they finished the job and were just as nice. I asked them how much it would have been for my entire roof and it would have been less than what I paid

guys to do 1/4 of the roof. Though

guys were nice, they are no longer on my call list strictly because of price and lack of follow through after the 2 hour minimum.

The team of two arrived on time and completed the ice dam and snow removal in a professional and prompt manner. They checked in with us every hour or so to update us on the progress. We were able to get them to come out to our house the day after we called for the service. Very pleased and will use them again if the ice dams reappear.

after we discovered that they did snow/ice removal because we have used them for deck cleaning and painting and were previously impressed. Called on Tuesday (2/25) and they asked if we currently had water coming in. I said, not currently and they said they would check their schedule and get back to us. Called first thing Wednesday morning (2/26) and we set up a tentative time for Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, they were quite late, so I called the office and the other job they were on was taking much longer, so they asked if they could come Sunday, which was fine. They showed up Sunday as planned, went right to work and were able to remove the ice dams that had been causing leaks the week before. The only concern I had was that they use pressurized heated water so we ended up with some ice on our sidewalk and driveway, but that ice won't cause leaks in the house. Overall we were very pleased - especially considering it was below zero when they were doing the work.
